  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Back in win column Friday

Bussi made 23 saves in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.

Bussi gave up a goal in each regulation period, including William Nylander's tying tally midway through the third. However, the 27-year-old Bussi escaped Toronto with the victory when Alexander Nikishin ripped home the winner in overtime. Bussi has been shaky since the Olympic break, giving up more than three goals in four of six starts and losing three straight heading into Friday. Over that six-start stretch, he's gone 3-3-0 with a 3.87 GAA and .844 save percentage, and he's fallen into a timeshare with Frederik Andersen as a result.

  • Penguins' Gabriel D'Aigle: Signs entry-level contract

D'Aigle inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Penguins on Saturday.

Pittsburgh selected D'Aigle in the third round, 84th overall, during the 2025 NHL Draft. He has a 14-21-3 record with a 3.58 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 39 appearances with QMJHL Victoriaville this season. D'Aigle was the league's player of the week in mid-November, and he has posted a .920 save percentage since Nov. 1.

  • Sean Durzi D | UTA

Mammoth's Sean Durzi: Nabs helper in loss

Durzi provided an assist and two hits in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks.

Durzi ended a seven-game point drought with the helper. The 27-year-old defenseman has four assists and a minus-6 rating over 13 appearances since the Olympic break. Durzi has seen his role reduced since the Mammoth traded for MacKenzie Weegar. Durzi is at 23 points, 67 shots on net, 77 blocked shots, 34 hits, 44 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 49 appearances this season, so he can still provide some value in deeper formats.

  • Dylan Guenther RW | UTA

Mammoth's Dylan Guenther: Scores early in loss

Guenther scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks.

Guenther tallied just 1:48 into the contest, but that was all the Mammoth could put past Lukas Dostal. The 22-year-old Guenther has seven goals and three assists over 11 outings in March. The winger is up to 34 goals, 212 shots on net, 55 hits and a plus-6 rating through 68 appearances. Given his recent momentum, a 40-goal campaign isn't out of the question.

  • Mammoth's Vitek Vanecek: Decent showing in loss

Vanecek stopped 20 of 22 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks. The last two goals by Anaheim were empty-netters.

Vanecek put in a decent effort, but it wasn't enough. He's allowed eight goals on 94 shots over his four appearances in March. The 30-year-old is down to 5-10-3 with a 2.71 GAA and an .891 save percentage over 18 appearances this season. The Mammoth's goaltending usage continues to be unpredictable for fantasy managers, especially without clear communication from head coach Andre Tourigny. Expect Karel Vejmelka in goal versus the Kings on Sunday. Vanecek has played well enough lately to get his fair share of looks, especially if the Mammoth want to keep Vejmelka -- the league's busiest goalie -- fresh for a potential playoff run.

  • Ducks' Drew Helleson: Losing playing time

Helleson has been scratched in eight of the Ducks' 13 games since the Olympic break after sitting out Friday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.

Helleson's drop in playing time is partly a product of the arrival of John Carlson in a trade from the Capitals. The Ducks have occasionally gone to seven defensemen in the lineup, but that's not what they're currently doing, though Helleson has yet to sit more than four games in a row at any time this season. The 24-year-old has 12 points, 35 shots on net, 57 hits, 73 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 53 appearances.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Ducks' John Carlson: Gets first point with new team

Carlson logged an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.

Carlson helped out on a Cutter Gauthier empty-netter, with the former getting his first point as a Duck in the process. Carlson's Anaheim debut was delayed by his recovery from a lower-body injury, which cost him 10 contests coming out of the Olympic break. The 36-year-old blueliner has taken on a top-four role with power-play time as expected in his first three contests for the Ducks. Overall, he has 47 points, 89 blocked shots, 121 shots on net and a plus-13 rating through 58 appearances between the Ducks and the Capitals this season.

  • Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Deposits empty-netter

Granlund scored an empty-net goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.

Granlund had been quiet since he returned from missing six games due to an upper-body injury. He was scoreless with seven shots on net and a minus-3 rating over six contests before scoring in the final minute of Friday's outing. The 34-year-old forward is at 13 goals, 28 points, 88 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 25 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-11 rating over 45 appearances. Granlund's injury-riddled campaign has had a negative impact on his offense, but he still brings solid veteran play in a versatile role.

  • Ducks' Cutter Gauthier: Fills empty cage

Gauthier scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.

Gauthier stretched the Ducks' lead to 3-1 with his tally. The 22-year-old winger has surged with 10 goals and two assists over 11 outings in March -- he's shooting 23.8 percent in that span. Overall, the breakout star is up to 36 goals, 62 points, 255 shots on net, 56 hits and a plus-1 rating over 68 appearances. Gauthier has benefited from the Ducks' deep offense, as it has allowed him to remain productive even in the times, such as now, when he's in a third-line spot.

  • Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Produces two points in win

Poehling scored a shorthanded goal, added an assist, recorded five hits, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.

Poehling played a great game in all zones to help the Ducks pick up the win. The 27-year-old center has found a groove in March with eight points over 11 contests, providing some depth scoring in addition to his usual defensive work. For the season, Poehling has nine goals, 31 points, 72 shots on net, 36 hits, 70 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating over 62 outings. His next point will give him a new career high for the third year in a row.
