Sean Couturier C | PHI
Flyers' Sean Couturier: Pots goal in Game 2 loss
Couturier scored a goal on five shots and added five hits in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2.
This was Couturier's first goal of the playoffs. The 33-year-old center has been listed on the fourth line, but he saw a postseason-high 24:51 of ice time in this contest. He's earned a goal, three helpers, 21 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-2 rating across eight playoff outings. Couturier may not lead the Flyers' forwards in ice time often anymore, but he'll still be relied on in defensive situations.

Jamie Drysdale D | PHI
Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Tallies on power play
Drysdale scored a power-play goal on four shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2.
Drysdale's goal gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead at 4:02 of the first period. That was the first time the Hurricanes have trailed all postseason. Drysdale has two goals, two assists, 15 shots on net, 11 blocked shots, four PIM and a minus-3 rating across eight playoff outings. He should continue to provide some offense while seeing top-four minutes on the Flyers' blue line.

Seth Jarvis C | CAR
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Nets equalizer Monday
Jarvis scored a goal on four shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 2.
The Hurricanes had an uncharacteristic slow start in this contest, falling behind 2-0 within the first five minutes. They dug in and got back on track, with Jarvis' tally at 11:21 of the third period tying the game at 2-2 to force overtime, where Taylor Hall stayed hot with the game-winner. Jarvis is warming up himself with a goal and three assists over his last three games after getting held off the scoresheet in the first three playoff contests. He's added 11 shots on net, nine hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over six outings this postseason.

Taylor Hall LW | CAR
Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Keeps streak alive with game-winner
Hall scored a goal on three shots, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 2.
Hall has yet to be held off the scoresheet this postseason. He kept the streak alive with a tally 18:54 into overtime, which helped the Hurricanes take a 2-0 series lead. He's earned three goals, six assists, 17 shots on net, eight hits, eight PIM and a plus-8 rating through six playoff outings. Hall should continue to be an attractive source of offense as long as he stays on the second line.

Sam Carrick C | BUF
Sabres' Sam Carrick: Upgraded to day-to-day
Carrick (arm) is day-to-day after participating in Tuesday's practice, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Carrick has been out since March 31 after getting injured against the Islanders, and he was initially not expected to be an option for Round 2 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, he could be available to return at some point during Buffalo's second-round series versus Montreal. He had nine goals, 16 points, 75 shots on net and 106 hits across 73 appearances between the Sabres and Rangers during the 2025-26 regular season. Once Carrick receives the green light to play, he could replace Tyson Kozak on the fourth line.

Patrick Giles RW | SJ
Sharks' Patrick Giles: Inks two-way deal
Giles signed a two-year, two-way contract extension with the Sharks on Tuesday, according to Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.
Giles appeared in only three games for the Sharks in 2025-26, picking up an assist and a plus-1 rating. The 26-year-old spent the bulk of the year with AHL San Jose, accounting for 10 goals, 14 helpers and a minus-14 rating across 67 regular-season games. The undrafted winger should not be expected to see much time at the NHL level in 2026-27.

Filip Gustavsson G | MIN
Wild's Filip Gustavsson: In goal Tuesday
Gustavsson will get the starting nod for Game 2 on the road versus the Avalanche on Tuesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson will make his first appearance in the postseason, having watched Jesper Wallstedt feature in the last seven contests. For his part, the 27-year-old Gustavsson went 28-15-6 with a 2.69 GAA, .903 save percentage and four shutouts in 50 regular-season outings. At this point, Gustavsson's hold on the starting job should be considered tenuous at best.

Alexander Nikishin D | CAR
Hurricanes' Alexander Nikishin: Moves past concussion
Nikishin (concussion) has been cleared to play in Game 3 versus the Flyers on Thursday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports Tuesday.
Now that he's moved past the concussion he sustained in the first round against Ottawa, Nikishin will more than likely link back up with Shayne Gostisbehere on the third pairing. Mike Reilly will come out of the lineup due to Nikishin being an option for Game 3. The 24-year-old Nikishin recorded six hits and five blocked shots while averaging 16:30 of ice time over four games against the Senators in the first round.

Pontus Holmberg RW | TB
Lightning's Pontus Holmberg: Recovering from fractured clavicle
Holmberg sustained a fractured clavicle against Buffalo on April 6, per Evan Closky of 10 Tampa Bay News on Tuesday.
While an exact timeline for Holmberg's return never materialized, this type of injury can take 6-12 weeks to recover from. He has plenty of time to heal now that Tampa Bay has been eliminated from the playoffs, and he should be available for training camp in the fall. Holmberg had 11 goals, 22 points, 90 shots on net and 66 hits across 70 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season.

Jack Ahcan D | COL
Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Elevated from minors
Ahcan has been brought up from AHL Colorado, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic on Tuesday.
Josh Manson's (upper body) availability for Game 2 against the Wild on Tuesday is in question, so Ahcan will provide the Avalanche with another option on the blue line. Nick Blankenburg has filled in while Manson has been out. Ahcan had a great regular season with the Eagles in 2025-26, generating 11 goals, 50 points and a plus-24 rating over 61 appearances. Should he draw into the lineup for the Avalanche in the postseason, it will be in a third-pairing role.
