  • Matthew Wood RW | NSH

Predators' Matthew Wood: Scores in homecoming game

Wood scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.

The Nanaimo, British Columbia native put the Predators up 3-1 in the second period when he got a lucky bounce for a goal. The 21-year-old is starting to earn some better luck, as he has four goals and an assist during a four-game point streak. He's up to 14 goals, 24 points, 84 shots on net, 39 hits and a minus-1 rating over 54 appearances as a rookie this season. Wood is playing in a middle-six role and seeing time on the power play, and his recent turn as a center could earn him multi-position eligibility in fantasy.

  • Tyson Jost C | NSH

Predators' Tyson Jost: Rare two-goal game

Jost scored twice on four shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.

Jost has three goals over his last two games, a rare burst of offense for the fourth-liner. He flipped a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with his tallies Thursday, though the Predators would later slip up and lose the lead. The veteran forward has just six goals, 11 points, 63 shots on net, 55 hits, 21 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-14 rating across 52 appearances. His offense will fade again, so Jost is not a must-have player in any fantasy format.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Slips up late, loses in shootout

Saros stopped 24 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.

The Predators really needed this game, but Saros let in two goals over a span of 3:04 late in the third period and then gave up the lone tally in the shootout to take the loss. He's 2-2-2 with 17 goals over his last six outings, providing steady but average goaltending. The 30-year-old is down to 23-19-7 with a 3.15 GAA and an .893 save percentage over 50 starts. The Predators' next matchup is a tough one in Edmonton on Sunday, a team Saros has historically struggled against.

  • John Tavares C | TOR

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: First goal in seven games

Tavares scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 6-4 win over the Ducks. He also had an assist.

It was Tavares' first goal in seven games. He had four shots. Overall, he has 23 goals, 31 assists and 161 shots in 66 games this season. Tavares sits eighth among active skaters in career scoring. He has 517 goals, 651 assists and 1,168 points in 1,250 games. Tavares is two points from equaling Bobby Hull (58th all time) and 11 points from Sergei Fedorov, who is 57th.

  • Filip Hronek D | VAN

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Produces two points Thursday

Hronek scored a goal, added an assist, blocked three shots and went plus-3 in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators.

Hronek has done well for himself lately with two goals and four assists over his last five outings. The defenseman helped out on the opening goal and scored the equalizer himself in this contest, helping the Canucks pull off a comeback win. The 28-year-old is up to seven tallies, 38 points, 95 shots on net, 107 hits, 87 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 65 appearances. Hronek's production rarely fluctuates much even as the team around him has risen and fallen over the last few years, making him a reliable all-around blueliner in fantasy.

  • Brock Boeser RW | VAN

Canucks' Brock Boeser: Logs pair of points in shootout win

Boeser scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators.

Boeser has four goals and an assist over his last five outings. He opened the scoring at 8:40 of the first period and set up Filip Hronek for the tying goal with 1:01 left in regulation. Boeser's recent improved stretch has lifted him over the 30-point mark on the year -- he has 16 goals, 15 helpers, 129 shots on net, 43 hits and a minus-32 rating through 58 appearances. He should continue to see top-six minutes and power-play time.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Three-point burst in shootout win

Rossi scored a goal, dished two assists, added four PIM and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators.

Rossi had a hand in all of the Canucks' goals, including scoring one to cut the deficit to one late in the third period. The 24-year-old center has talent, but injuries have limited him, as has playing on a poor Vancouver team since a December trade from Minnesota. Rossi is now at seven goals, 14 assists, 45 shots on net and a minus-14 rating through 33 appearances this season. He continues to work on the Canucks' second line and also has a spot on the power play.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Salvages shootout win

Tolopilo stopped 16 of 19 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Predators.

Vancouver was able to get the win after a third-period rally to force overtime. Tolopilo was perfect in the extra session and the shootout, picking up his second win in a row despite the lackluster performance overall. He's now 5-5-2 with a 3.21 GAA and an .896 save percentage over 14 appearances. The Canucks' next game is Saturday versus the Kraken. Expect Tolopilo and Kevin Lankinen to continue sharing the crease, though neither has much rest-of-season upside on the NHL's worst team.

  • Ryker Evans D | SEA

Kraken's Ryker Evans: Nets shorthanded goal

Evans scored a shorthanded goal in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Evans snapped a six-game point drought with the tally, which came off a Colorado turnover. The 24-year-old defenseman has talent, but he's stuck in a third-pairing role with minimal power-play usage since the Kraken's defense is healthy. Evans is up to seven goals, 14 points, 36 shots on net, 48 blocked shots, 27 hits, 26 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 49 appearances this season.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Makes relief appearance Thursday

Grubauer stopped nine of 11 shots in relief of Joey Daccord in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Grubauer played the final two periods and gave up a goal in each one. He's now winless over his last four outings, giving up 13 goals on 100 shots in that span. Daccord hasn't exactly been a stud lately either, but he's done enough to push Grubauer into the backup role. Grubauer is 11-8-3 with a 2.54 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 25 appearances. Both goalies should get a look this weekend, as the Kraken visit the Canucks on Saturday before hosting the Panthers on Sunday.
