Linus Ullmark G | OTT
Senators' Linus Ullmark: Queasy season continues
Ullmark made 17 saves in a 4-3 loss to Vancouver on Saturday.
He wasn't bad, but he wasn't great, and that's been the theme of his time in Ottawa early in the 2024-25 campaign. Ullmark is a strong netminder, but he has just four wins and has struggled with a 3.10 GAA and an .881 save percentage through 13 appearances. He should stabilize eventually, though it's been a difficult adjustment playing behind the Senators' defense after benefiting from Boston's system in his previous three seasons.

Jordan Binnington G | STL
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Decent effort in loss
Binnington stopped 28 of 30 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders. The third goal was an empty-netter.
Binnington has alternated wins and losses over his last four outings, but he's given up just nine goals in that span. The Islanders' second line controlled the scoring Saturday, with Kyle Palmieri and Brock Nelson responsible for the goals on Binnington's ledger. The 31-year-old goalie is now 6-9-1 through 17 appearances, adding a 3.04 GAA and an .891 save percentage. Those ratios aren't great, but his playing time can't be ignored in fantasy -- at least as long as he continues to see the vast majority of the starts over Joel Hofer.

Sam Montembeault G | MON
Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Pulled early in loss
Montembeault allowed five goals on 25 shots before being pulled after two periods in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Vegas.
Montembeault, who won three of four outings with a .966 save percentage going into Saturday's game, started well with a scoreless first period before it all came apart. The Golden Knights capitalized on sloppy play in front of the goalie in the second period, putting five pucks past him on 13 shots. Montreal head coach Martin St. Louis had seen enough and replaced him with Cayden Primeau to start the third period. The 28-year-old Montembeault hasn't finished the game three times in 15 starts. The Canadiens' next matchup is Tuesday at home against Columbus.

Simon Holmstrom RW | NYI
Islanders' Simon Holmstrom: Collects power-play assist
Holmstrom provided a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
Holmstrom has two goals and three assists over his last seven outings. The 23-year-old winger had the secondary helper on Brock Nelson's second-period tally Saturday. Through 21 contests, Holmstrom is at 10 points (three on the power play), 19 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. He's seeing steady time in a third-line role and on the second power-play unit, giving him some fantasy appeal in deeper formats with a focus on offense.

Drake Batherson RW | OTT
Senators' Drake Batherson: Three-game, four-point streak
Batherson had two assists in a 4-3 loss to the Canucks on Saturday.
One came on the power play. Batherson has one goal and three helpers during his three-game point streak. He has 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists), 35 hits and 46 shots through 20 appearances this season. Batherson has been excellent on the man advantage, registering four goals and four assists.

Maxim Tsyplakov RW | NYI
Islanders' Maxim Tsyplakov: Nabs power-play helper
Tsyplakov registered a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
Tsyplakov ended a four-game point drought when he set up Brock Nelson's second-period tally. While he's now 10 games removed from his last goal, Tsyplakov has four assists and 13 shots in that span, so he's getting his looks. The second-line winger is up to two goals, nine assists (two on the power play), 29 shots on net, 58 hits, 16 PIM and a plus-4 rating through his first 21 NHL outings.

Tim Stutzle LW | OTT
Senators' Tim Stutzle: Sets team record for goals
Stutzle scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 loss to Vancouver.
Stutzle is the first player in Senators history to score 100 NHL goals before his 23rd birthday. He has nine goals, 15 assists and 44 shots in 20 games so far, and that pace puts Stutzle on course for a 98-point season. His 20.5 shooting percentage is abnormally high, so his goal pace may slow, but a near triple-digit point total is fantasy elite.
-
Brock Nelson C | NYI
Islanders' Brock Nelson: In on all three goals in win
Nelson scored a power-play goal on four shots, added two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
Nelson's second-period tally was the game-winner, and he also set up linemate Kyle Palmieri's two goals. This was Nelson's first multi-point effort since Oct. 25, and his third such game of the campaign. The 33-year-old center is up to eight tallies, five assists, 64 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 21 appearances in a second-line role. He's right on track for a fourth straight 30-goal campaign, though a drop in his assist totals could see him struggle to reach the 50-point mark without a turnaround. That said, his goal was his first power-play point of the year, so he's due for some improvement in that area.

Claude Giroux LW | OTT
Senators' Claude Giroux: November may be turning around
Giroux had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Canucks on Saturday.
Giroux helped key a third-period push with a power-play goal late in the frame; his goal pushed the score to 4-2. November hasn't been kind to Giroux, who has just four points, three of which have come in the last two games, in 11 outings. He's a bit of a fantasy risk right now until the team, which is on a five-game losing skid, finds some consistency.

Kyle Palmieri C | NYI
Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Opens and closes scoring Saturday
Palmieri scored two goals on four shots, including one into an empty net, in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
Palmieri stepped up after the Islanders suffered consecutive 2-1 defeats, which were both games where he was held off the scoresheet. He tallied late in the first period and again in the final minute of the third for his fifth multi-point effort and first multi-goal game of the season. Palmieri is up to nine tallies, 18 points, 53 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 21 contests overall while holding steady in a second-line role.
