  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: First off in Winnipeg

Saros is set to patrol the blue paint Tuesday in Winnipeg, according to Max Herz of 102.5 The Game Nashville.

Saros has alternated wins and losses over his last four starts, posting a 2-1-1 record, 2.71 GAA and .908 save percentage during that time. The Jets have played better of late, winning back-to-back games and five of their last seven. Saros was on the hook for a 4-1 loss in Winnipeg on Oct. 18, surrendering four goals on 24 shots in that matchup, and the Finnish netminder is 8-9-4 against the Jets over 21 career regular-season appearances.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Scores in loss to Pittsburgh

MacKinnon scored a goal in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Penguins.

MacKinnon was one of the few players who put up some kind of fight as the Avs looked completely overmatched throughout the game. This goal extended his point streak to three games, and he's tallied an impressive 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 10 appearances since the Olympic break. MacKinnon is in a tight race with Connor McDavid to see who will end the regular season as the league's leading scorer. MacKinnon has 110 points, and while McDavid is up to 114, it's worth noting the Oilers star has played three more games. On a point-per-game basis, MacKinnon leads McDavid 1.69 to 1.68.

  • Bryan Rust RW | PIT

Penguins' Bryan Rust: Extends point streak Monday

Rust scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Monday's 7-2 win over the Avalanche.

Rust pushed his point streak to four games, notching four goals and three assists over that span while also adding eight shots and two blocked shots. There's a strong argument to say Rust has been the Penguins' best player since the league resumed following the Olympics. The 33-year-old has notched 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in his 13 appearances since the regular season resumed.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Three points in return to lineup

Malkin had two even-strength goals and added a power-play assist in Monday's 7-2 win over the Avalanche.

Malkin was impressive in his return to the lineup after serving a five-game suspension and posted his best scoring output since Dec. 4, when he also had three points in a win over the Lightning. Malkin might not be in the prime of his career, but the 39-year-old veteran remains an impact performer for the Penguins in a top-six role. He has six points (two goals, four assists) in six games since the Olympic break.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Struggles in relief

Blackwood allowed four goals on 15 shots in relief in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Penguins.

Both Colorado goaltenders struggled massively in this game, as Blackwood replaced Scott Wedgewood, who allowed three goals on five shots before departing the contest in the first period. This was the third-worst performance of Blackwood this season in terms of his save percentage, and he's been inconsistent overall since the Olympic break. In seven appearances, he's gone 2-3-0 with a 3.33 GAA and an .855 save percentage.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Pulled early Monday

Wedgewood was lifted in the first period of Monday's 7-2 loss to the Penguins after allowing three goals and making two saves.

Wedgewood was pulled midway through the first period after recording more goals conceded (three) than saves made (two). However, Mackenzie Blackwood didn't fare much better, allowing four goals on 15 shots. Wedgewood and the Avs will aim to bounce back in a tough matchup against the Stars, another team that suffered a disappointing loss Monday, on Wednesday.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Makes 25 saves vs. Colorado

Silovs stopped 25 of 27 shots in Monday's 7-2 win over the Avalanche.

Silovs has been rotating with Stuart Skinner between the posts since the Olympic break, and Silovs has also alternating results with a 3-2-0 record over his last five. Even if that rotation isn't going to end in the near future, Silovs' performance Monday is worth highlighting since he posted a save percentage of .926 against one of the best offenses in the league. If the rotation continues, Silovs' next chance to play would come against the Jets on Sunday.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Between pipes against San Jose

Ingram will tend the home twine Tuesday versus the Sharks, per Mark Spector of Sportsnet.

Ingram got back in the win column Sunday against the Predators in a 3-1 victory, turning aside 26 of 27 shots. The Saskatchewan native owns a 4-2-1 record with a 2.74 GAA and .892 save percentage over eight appearances since the Olympic break. Ingram has emerged as the Oilers' No. 1 netminder, and he'll look to continue building momentum against a Sharks team that is 15-17-1 away from home in 2025-26.

  • Wyatt Kaiser D | CHI

Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Good to go Tuesday

Kaiser (shoulder) will return to the lineup against Minnesota on Tuesday, according to CHGO Blackhawks.

Kaiser is poised to return to a second-pairing role after sitting out Saturday's 4-0 loss to Vegas. He has accounted for five goals, 12 points, 60 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and 37 hits in 61 appearances this season.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Extends scoring streak

Johnston scored a goal on three shots while adding two hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Mammoth.

Johnston has not only found the back of the net in three straight games while cracking the scoresheet in the last four, but this goal boosted his total to 37 on the year. With 37 goals and 37 assists to his name, as well as 36 of his 74 points coming off power-play situations, he's one of the most well-rounded forwards in the league, regardless of whether it's at full strength or with the man advantage. Johnston has already established a career-high mark in goals and points, and he's one assist away from matching his personal-best output from the 2024-25 regular season.
