Per Claire Hanna of TSN, Sanderson (upper body) has returned to the ice and could be back in action in 7-10 days, according to head coach Travis Green.

Sanderson remains week-to-week, but he has been skating for a few days. He will miss his seventh straight game against Toronto on Saturday, and an exact return date remains unclear. Sanderson has 11 goals and 37 assists, including 19 points on the power play, over 62 contests this season.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Set to face Maple Leafs

Ullmark is expected to patrol the home crease against Toronto on Saturday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Ullmark occupied the starter's crease during the morning skate before being the first goalie off the ice. He has gone 2-2-0 in his last four outings while allowing only nine goals on 93 shots. He has a 21-10-7 record this campaign with two shutouts, a 2.79 GAA and an .886 save percentage through 39 appearances. Toronto ranks 16th in the league with 3.11 goals per game this season.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Sharp in Friday's win

Thompson made 30 saves in Friday's 2-1 win over the Devils.

The 29-year-old netminder nearly came away with his third shutout of the season, but Jesper Bratt finally got a puck past him inside the final minute of the third period with New Jersey's net empty. Thompson has just one regulation loss in his last five starts, going 3-1-1 with a dazzling 1.98 GAA and .932 save percentage as the Capitals try to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

  • Jake Allen G | NJ

Devils' Jake Allen: Tough loss in DC

Allen turned aside 26 of 27 shots in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Capitals, with Washington's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

Ryan Leonard went top shelf on Allen from the high slot midway through the first period, and that looked like it might be the game's only offense until the teams traded goals inside the final two minutes of the third frame. Allen hasn't seen much action since the Olympic break, as the Devils have been leaning heavily on Jacob Markstrom. In his past three outings, Allen has gone 1-2-0 while giving up seven goals on 88 shots (.920 save percentage).

  • Maple Leafs' Matias Maccelli: Two helpers in Friday's OT loss

Maccelli pocketed two assists in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Maccelli helped set up the Leafs' first and third goals of the contest, including William Nylander's tying tally midway through the third period. Maccelli has been on an impressive run since the Olympic break, racking up four goals and 11 points in his last 11 outings while seeing shifts on the top power-play unit.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Falls to Canes in OT

Woll stopped 32 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to Carolina.

Toronto was outshot by the visitors 36-26 in the contest. However, Woll only really wobbled in the second period, as he got beaten three times on 17 shots -- once on a power play, once shorthanded, and once on a penalty shot by Eric Robinson. There wasn't much the 27-year-old Woll could do on Alexander Nikishin's laser off the post in OT. Woll has just one win in eight outings since the Olympic break, going 1-5-2 with a 3.70 GAA and .893 save percentage.
