  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Set to start Tuesday

Sorokin will start Tuesday's road game against Toronto, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

After winning all four of his starts in February, Sorokin has been more inconsistent this month, going 2-2-0 with 12 goals allowed on 116 shots (.897 save percentage) over four outings in March. However, he'll start for the fifth time in the Islanders' last six games. The Maple Leafs rank 14th in the NHL with 3.15 goals per game this year.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Set to face Mammoth

DeSmith was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease against Utah on Monday.

DeSmith has stopped 66 of the 73 shots he has faced during his four-game winning streak. He has a 14-4-5 record this campaign with one shutout, a 2.28 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 24 appearances. Utah is tied for 17th in the league with 3.10 goals per game this season.

  • Maxim Shabanov RW | NYI

    Islanders' Max Shabanov: Considered day-to-day

Shabanov didn't participate in Monday's practice session and is considered day-to-day due to a lower-body injury.

Shabanov hasn't been a mainstay in the Islanders' lineup over the past few weeks, but he's now dealing with an injury, and it's unclear whether he'll be an option for Tuesday's game in Toronto. He's made 15 appearances since the start of the calendar year, recording four assists, six hits and six blocked shots while averaging 13:10 of ice time.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Facing Red Wings

Wolf will guard the road goal against Detroit on Monday, according to Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Since returning from the Olympic break, Wolf has gone 3-3-0 while allowing 18 goals on 195 shots in seven appearances. He has a 19-24-3 record this season with two shutouts, a 3.00 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 48 games. Detroit is tied for 21st in the league with 2.88 goals per game this campaign.

  • Red Wings' Michael Brandsegg-Nygard: Remains out for Monday's game

Brandsegg-Nygard (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Calgary, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Brandsegg-Nygard remains day-to-day due to an undisclosed issue, and he'll be unavailable for a second consecutive matchup. Over 12 appearances with the Red Wings this year, he's recorded an assist, 36 hits, three blocked shots and two PIM while averaging 12:17 of ice time.

  • Senators' Fabian Zetterlund: Two-point effort Sunday

Zetterlund scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sharks.

Both points came in the second period, helping the Senators turn around an early 2-1 deficit. Zetterlund snapped a 13-game goal drought with his tally, as his bottom-six role hasn't afforded him many offensive opportunities of late. On the season, the 26-year-old winger has 13 goals and 26 points in 66 games with 124 hits, 106 shots on net and a minus-2 rating.

  • Brady Tkachuk LW | OTT

Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Two points against Sharks

Tkachuk produced a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-4 win over San Jose.

Both points came in the third period, including an empty-netter that gave Tkachuk his 18th goal of the season. It was the 26-year-old winger's first multi-point performance since Jan. 31 versus the Devils, but he's failed to get onto the scoresheet only three times in 12 games since then. Through 46 contests on the season, Tkachuk has compiled 46 points, 176 shots on net, 118 hits, 48 PIM and a minus-1 rating.

  • Warren Foegele LW | OTT

Senators' Warren Foegele: Two-point effort Sunday

Foegele scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sharks.

Both points came in the second period as the Senators took control of the game. Foegele has two goals and three points in five games since joining the Senators at the trade deadline despite his bottom-six role, while adding seven shots on net, six hits, two PIM and a plus-3 rating.

  • Senators' Drake Batherson: Credited with two goals Sunday

Batherson scored two goals, one on the power play and the other the game-winner, in Sunday's 7-4 victory over San Jose.

The 27-year-old winger was the recipient of an absurd amount of puck luck Sunday. Batherson's first goal came when Sharks defenseman Mario Ferraro re-directed his centering pass into his own net in the first period, while the other came when Artem Zub's point shot in the third deflected home off Batherson's arm. It still goes down as Batherson's fourth multi-goal performance in the last eight games, and on the season he's up to 27 goals and 59 points in 63 contests. He's one tally away from tying his career high of 28 from the 2023-24 season and one point away from his fourth straight 60-point campaign.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Gets plenty of help in Sunday's win

Ullmark made 19 saves on 23 shots in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sharks.

The veteran netminder was hardly at his best, but the Senators gave Ullmark more than enough offensive support to come away with his fourth win in six March starts. Ullmark has only one regulation loss in eight outings since the Olympic break, going 5-1-2 with a 2.62 GAA and .889 save percentage over that span.
