Matthews (knee/quad) sustained a Grade 3 MCL tear and a quadriceps contusion Thursday versus the Ducks. He will be reevaluated in two weeks, but he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Matthews took a knee-on-knee hit from Radko Gudas, and it will be enough to end the Toronto captain's campaign. The Maple Leafs haven't been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race yet, but it's hard to see a path forward for them to get there without Matthews. He ends the campaign with 27 goals and 53 points over 60 appearances, his lowest scoring numbers in any of his 10 NHL campaigns. It's unclear if he'll be cleared in time to have the option to represent Team USA at the IIHF World Championship.

Ingram will guard the road goal versus the Blues on Friday, Paige Martin of Oilers TV reports.

Ingram is set to handle the second half of a back-to-back. He was able to back up versus the Stars on Thursday after an injury scare. Tristan Jarry ended up taking a 7-2 loss to the Stars, so Ingram will look to get the Oilers back on track in an easier matchup.

Nugent-Hopkins (personal) won't play in Friday's game versus the Blues, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.

Nugent-Hopkins is away from the team for the time being. Max Jones will enter the lineup, but Matt Savoie is poised for the biggest bump in usage. Nugent-Hopkins' next chance to play is Sunday at home versus the Predators.

Jones was summoned from AHL Bakersfield on Friday, per PuckPedia.

Colton Dach (undisclosed) was put on long-term injured reserve in a corresponding move. Jones has 10 goals, 18 points and 61 PIM in 39 outings with Bakersfield this season. He also has a goal, an assist and five PIM across eight appearances with Edmonton in 2025-26.

Dach (undisclosed) was moved to long-term injured reserve Friday, per PuckPedia.

Dach suffered the injury during Tuesday's game against Colorado. He has three goals, 10 points, 47 PIM, 52 shots, 195 hits and 27 blocks between Chicago and Edmonton in 2025-26. The Oilers acquired him from Chicago on March 4. Dach will be in the mix for a fourth-line spot once he's ready to return.

Kuemper is expected to start on the road against the Islanders on Friday, per Mayor's Manor.

Kuemper has a 15-13-10 record, 2.70 GAA and .897 save percentage in 40 appearances in 2025-26. He's struggled recently, posting a 1-3-1 record, 3.84 GAA and .857 save percentage across his past five outings. The Islanders have been fantastic across their past nine games, going 7-2-0 while averaging 3.44 goals per game.

Bryson logged an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers.

This was Bryson's first point in three games since he was traded from the Sabres. The 28-year-old defenseman has taken over on the third pairing, though he could lose his spot if Neal Pionk (undisclosed) or Colin Miller (knee) return before the end of the season. Bryson has little fantasy upside -- he has six points, 15 shots on net, 21 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 38 NHL appearances this season.

Lowry logged an assist and six hits in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers.

Lowry set up a Gabriel Vilardi goal to tie the game at 3-3 in the third period. The helper ended a five-game point drought for Lowry, who has gone 19 contests without a goal. He has six assists and 22 shots on net in that span. For the season, the veteran center is at just 17 points with 56 shots on net, 110 hits, 34 blocked shots and 21 PIM over 52 appearances in a middle-six role.

Rosen scored a goal in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers.

Rosen was acquired from the Sabres on March 5 in a deal that sent Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn the other way. The 22-year-old Rosen has potential, but he's currently in a third-line role for the Jets, so his opportunities for the rest of this season will likely be limited. He's earned four goals, eight points, 19 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 19 NHL appearances between Buffalo and Winnipeg this season.

Vilardi scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and went minus-2 in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers.

Vilardi has two goals over his last three contests. He's been on the second line more often lately as the Jets try to cobble together different line combinations to balance their offense. The 26-year-old has produced 25 goals, 54 points, 121 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 64 appearances, so he should remain a steady scorer in fantasy regardless of his role.
