  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Done for season

Tanev underwent core muscle surgery Wednesday and will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.

Tanev should be ready for training camp in September. His six-year, $27 million contract runs through 2029-30 and comes with a no-movement clause, so it's fair to believe he'll still be a member of the Leafs for the 2026-27 season. The 36-year-old defenseman will complete 2025-26 with two assists, eight shots, two hits and 15 blocks in only 11 appearances.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Between pipes against Devils

Stolarz will tend the twine on the road versus New Jersey on Wednesday, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.

Stolarz has secured just one victory in his last six outings, posting a 1-3-1 record, 3.18 GAA and .894 save percentage. With the 32-year-old New Jersey native getting the nod Wednesday, fantasy managers can look for Joseph Woll to guard the crease for Thursday's road clash with the Rangers.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Sitting out Wednesday

Gibson (upper body) will not suit up against the Golden Knights on Wednesday, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.

Gibson has appeared in eight of the Red Wings' last nine outings, going 3-3-1 with a 2.14 GAA. The 32-year-old netminder is day-to-day after skating on his own Wednesday, and he is feeling better. Still, Gibson will miss at least one contest, which will result in Cam Talbot starting, and Sebastian Cossa serving as the backup.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Three points in OT win

Scheifele scored a goal, added two assists and recorded six shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

Scheifele cracked the scoresheet after going pointless in the Jets' last two contests, and he also snapped a five-game goalless skid when he netted the game-winner at the 2:06 mark in overtime. Scheifele has 28 goals and 45 assists on the season, giving him 73 points across 60 appearances.

  • Jets' Dylan Samberg: Scores, assists in win

Samberg recorded a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

Samberg has four points in four appearances since the Jets returned from the Olympics, tallying one goal and three assists in that stretch. He earned his first goal of the season in his 44th appearance. He has more value in formats that reward physical stats, as he has 37 hits and 73 blocked shots this campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Scores once again

Teravainen scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.

Teravainen has been on a roll of late and has cracked the scoresheet in each of his last four appearances. He had three goals and two assists over that stretch. Teravainen has generated 13 goals, 28 points and 68 shots on net through 54 contests this season.

  • Ryan Greene C | CHI

Blackhawks' Ryan Greene: Pots goal Tuesday

Greene scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.

Greene found the back of the net with his lone shot Tuesday, but he's not known for his scoring prowess. In fact, this was the first time he scored a goal since Jan. 23, and he's recorded multiple shots in just two of his last 11 games. Despite holding a top-six role in the lineup, Greene hasn't been a very productive fantasy contributor in recent weeks.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Snaps losing skid

Hellebuyck stopped 18 fo 20 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

Hellebuyck finally snapped a five-game losing skid (0-2-3) and posted a strong showing in this win. While he was excellent with Team USA during the Olympics, things haven't been good with the Jets. Hellebuyck has gone 1-0-2 with a 2.89 GAA and a .903 save percentage since the NHL resumed play following the break. He has a 14-16-9 record this season with a 2.80 GAA and a .900 save percentage.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: In goal Wednesday

Talbot will be between the pipes at home against the Golden Knights on Wednesday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Talbot secured the win against Nashville on Monday after stepping in for John Gibson (upper body), stopping 18 of 19 shots on net. The Red Wings brought up Sebastian Cossa from the minors to serve as the No. 2 netminder versus Vegas on Wednesday.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Tagged with OT loss

Knight stopped 29 of 32 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.

Knight has dropped four straight starts, but at least this time he took the game into overtime. Despite the subpar record, it's worth noting that Knight has allowed three or fewer goals in each of his last seven outings, going 1-4-2 with a 2.84 GAA and an .892 save percentage. Those aren't the best numbers, but they're better than what a four-game losing skid would indicate. Over the four-game losing stretch, Knight owns a 2.77 GAA and a .900 save percentage while stopping 99 of 110 shots faced.
