  • Alex Ovechkin LW | WAS

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Scores twice in loss

Ovechkin scored two goals and took six shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Ovechkin finally snapped his scoring drought and found the back of the net for the first time since Jan. 27, when he scored in a 5-1 loss to Seattle. The star forward remains productive despite being 40 years old, and even though his numbers are not what they were in his prime, he continues to make an impact offensively for the Capitals. Ovechkin has three goals and six points over his last 10 appearances, and 50 total points (24 goals, 26 assists) in 62 contests in 2025-26.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Cruises to win Saturday

Blackwood stopped 14 of 15 shots on net in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Apart from Connor Bedard's power-play goal just under seven minutes into the first period, Blackwood experienced smooth sailing en route to his first win following the Olympic break. With the victory, he is up to a 17-6-1 record, a 2.23 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 24 games this season. Despite alternating wins and losses over his last eight outings, Blackwood has remained a strong overall option when healthy and appears to have surpassed Scott Wedgewood as the team's No. 1 netminder. Barring injury, Blackwood should continue to see a substantial workload moving forward and profiles as a strong fantasy option behind Colorado's elite offense.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Gives up four goals

Lindgren stopped 19 of 23 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens. The other two goals were empty-netters.

Lindgren was beaten twice in the first frame and twice more in the second. By the time Montreal added a fifth goal, he was already on the bench while the Capitals were trying to find a late equalizer. This was Lindgren's first appearance since Jan. 29, when he earned the win in a 4-3 victory over the Red Wings after stopping 18 of 21 shots. He's firmly entrenched as the backup behind Logan Thompson, so Lindgren's expected to see minimal playing time for the foreseeable future.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Pots goal Saturday

Laferriere scored a goal in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Flames.

Laferriere broke the deadlock for the Kings with a wrister midway through the second period. That goal snapped Laferriere's six-game point drought and held up as the game-winner in this low-scoring contest. The 24-year-old, playing in his third season in the NHL, has racked up 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 59 games in 2025-26. He's 15 points shy of matching his career-best mark of 42 points, established in 2024-25 over 77 regular-season games, with 23 games left in the current regular season.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Starting in Pittsburgh

Hill will defend the road net against the Penguins on Sunday.

Hill is coming off a 15-save effort in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Kings. He has a 5-3-3 record this campaign with a 3.34 GAA and an .865 save percentage through 13 appearances. Pittsburgh ranks sixth in the league this season with 3.40 goals per game.

  • Adrian Kempe RW | LA

Kings' Adrian Kempe: Scores vs. Calgary

Kempe scored a goal, took four shots and recorded two hits in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Flames.

Kempe closed out the scoring for the Kings with an empty-netter with 38 seconds left in the contest when the Flames were pushing hard for an equalizer. Kempe has been playing very well lately and has cracked the scoresheet in all but two of his last 12 outings, tallying 13 points (seven goals, six assists) over that stretch.

  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Posts 29-save shutout

Forsberg posted a 29-save shutout in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Flames.

Forsberg earned a win for the first time since Jan. 27, when he stopped 27 of 28 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Red Wings, and this was a much-needed outcome for the 33-year-old. Forsberg allowed four goals on 22 shots in an 8-1 loss to the Oilers the last time out and had suffered three defeats (one in overtime) in his previous three February appearances. He heads into March owning a 2.65 GAA and a .908 save percentage since the beginning of January, so his performances have been better than his poor record indicates in that span.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Beaten once Saturday

Wolf stopped 35 of 36 shots in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Kings.

Wolf was excellent between the pipes Saturday, and he can't be blamed for the loss, as his .972 save percentage was his second-best mark of the season in games in which he hasn't posted a shutout. Wolf has looked excellent in his return to action following the Olympic break, stopping 69 of 71 shots in road games against the Sharks and Kings.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Posts solid outing in loss

Knight turned aside 32 of 34 shots on net in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Despite ending up in the loss column, Knight put together a strong performance that kept the Blackhawks in Saturday's game until Colorado's Cale Makar deposited an empty-net goal. Overall, the 24-year-old Knight now has a 16-18-7 record, a 2.62 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 41 outings this season. While the Blackhawks struggle to produce consistent offense to help Knight find the win column, his save percentage and GAA numbers make him a goaltender worth rostering in nearly all fantasy formats. He'll likely get a game of rest Sunday against Utah during the second half of Chicago's back-to-back before returning to action Tuesday against the Jets.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Extends point streak to nine games

Werenski supplied two assists, fired five shots on net and dished out two hits in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders.

Werenski extended his point streak to nine games, setting a new Blue Jackets franchise record for the longest point streak by a defenseman. His pair of helpers Saturday brought the superstar blueliner up to 45 assists, 65 points, 195 shots on goal and 68 blocked shots across 54 games this season. Since Dec. 11, the 28-year-old defenseman has been held off the scoresheet just two times during his 35-point, 24-game stretch of play. Werenski is making a compelling case for the Norris Trophy, which could be bolstered if the Blue Jackets make a push for a playoff spot following their sluggish start to the season.
