  • Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Scores in 600th game

Chychrun scored a goal on six shots and blocked two shots in Friday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights.

Chychrun was playing in his 600th career game. The defenseman has five points over his last three contests and continues to impress as a top-four option for the Capitals, particularly when it comes to goal scoring. He leads NHL defensemen with a career-best 22 tallies, and his 48 points are also a career high for the blueliner. Chychrun has added 189 shots on net, 82 blocked shots, 51 PIM, 47 hits and a plus-25 rating, offering plenty of multi-category upside.

  • Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Tallies on power play Friday

Tkachuk scored a power-play goal on five shots in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

Tkachuk has scored in each of the Panthers' two games following the Olympics. The 28-year-old winger is up to five goals and 10 points over 12 contests this season. He's added 37 shots on net, 13 hits and 21 PIM, and he should continue to contribute in a multi-category capacity for fantasy managers who were patient enough to wait out his recovery from groin surgery.

  • Luke Hughes D | NJ

Devils' Luke Hughes: Removed from LTIR

Hughes (shoulder) was activated from long-term injured reserve Saturday, per Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News.

In a corresponding move, the Devils returned Colton White to AHL Utica. Following a 10-game absence, Hughes should return to the lineup against St. Louis on Saturday. He has registered five goals, 26 points, 104 shots on net and 39 blocked shots in 49 outings this season.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Gathers assist Friday

Norris logged an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

This was Norris' second game back from an injury to his ribs. The 26-year-old has operated in a middle-six role since his return, as well as seeing power-play time. He has potential to put up strong offense for the Sabres, but he'll need to stay healthy to do so. He's earned 18 points, 31 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 21 appearances.

  • Devils' Colton White: Sent to AHL

White was reassigned to AHL Utica on Saturday, Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News reports.

White has four assists, 14 shots on goal, 16 blocked shots and 23 hits in 23 NHL appearances this season. The Devils activated Luke Hughes (shoulder) from long-term injured reserve in a corresponding move.

  • Beck Malenstyn LW | BUF

Sabres' Beck Malenstyn: Buries goal in win

Malenstyn scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Friday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

Malenstyn ended an eight-game point drought with the tally. The 28-year-old remains in a fourth-line role, so he shouldn't be expected to contribute much on offense. He's posted five goals, nine points, 52 shots on net, 202 hits, 57 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 58 appearances, serving as an effective defensive forward.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Between pipes Saturday

Woll will defend the home net versus Ottawa on Saturday, Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports.

Woll is 13-8-4 with two shutouts, a 2.92 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. Woll stopped 26 of 31 shots in a 7-5 win over the Senators on Dec. 27. Ottawa is 13th in the league with 3.26 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

    Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Deposits empty-netter

Krebs scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Friday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

Krebs' goal ended up being the game-winner after the Panthers got one back late. He's posted the game-winning tally in consecutive contests and has three points in that span. For the season, the 25-year-old is at nine goals, 28 points, 65 shots on net, 134 hits and 67 PIM through 59 outings. He'll set a career high with his next point.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Tending twine Saturday

Vladar will patrol the home crease versus Boston on Saturday, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Vladar is having his best season in the NHL, posting a 17-9-6 record with a 2.46 GAA and a .905 save percentage across 34 contests. The Bruins are generating 3.40 goals per game in 2025-26, seventh in the league.

  • Roope Hintz LW | DAL

Stars' Roope Hintz: Not playing Saturday

Hintz (illness) won't play against Nashville on Saturday, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Hintz skated on his own Saturday, but he will miss his second straight game. He has compiled 15 goals, 44 points, 125 shots on net and 58 hits through 52 appearances this season. According to Robert Tiffin of D Magazine, Hintz should be able to travel with the team for the Stars' two-game road trip against Vancouver and Calgary on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
