  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Sent to AHL Providence

DiPietro was reassigned to AHL Providence on Friday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

DiPietro was recalled on an emergency basis Tuesday and backed up Joonas Korpisalo on Thursday in Boston's 4-2 win over Columbus, and he made two saves in the second period while Korpisalo was being checked out following a collision in the crease with Miles Wood. DiPietro was called up as Jeremy Swayman was given the night off after winning Olympic gold for the United States on Sunday in Italy.

  • Panthers' Tobias Bjornfot: Activated from IR

Bjornfot (undisclosed) was activated from injured reserve prior to Thursday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Bjornfot landed on injured reserve just before the Olympic break, but the time off allowed him to limit his absence to one game. He'll now resume his competition with Donovan Sebrango for the last spot on the Panthers' blue line.

  • Panthers' Donovan Sebrango: Competing for playing time

Sebrango was in the lineup for a second straight game in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Sebrango has gone 13 games without a point while sitting out 29 times in that span. He's in competition for third-pairing minutes currently, though Tobias Bjornfot (undisclosed) could push him out of the lineup. Both defensemen could eventually lose their places once Seth Jones (upper body) and Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) get healthy.

  • Panthers' Anton Lundell: Deals pair of assists

Lundell logged two assists, including one on the power play, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Lundell has a goal and five assists over three NHL games in February. The 24-year-old also spent the Olympics representing Finland, though he was limited to two points in five games there. For the season, he's at 16 goals, 42 points, 127 shots on net, 66 hits, 34 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 55 appearances. Lundell is three points shy of matching his career-best total of 45 from 79 regular-season outings a year ago.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Strikes on power play in win

Verhaeghe scored a power-play goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Verhaeghe ended a five-game goal drought with his first-period tally, which stood as the game-winner. The 30-year-old winger is up to 17 goals, 43 points (nine on the power play), 138 shots on net, 51 hits and a minus-7 rating over 57 appearances this season. Verhaeghe is in a top-line role and should continue to be in a good position to generate offense as the Panthers try to put on a late push for a playoff spot, which they're eight points out of after Thursday's action.

  • Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Fills empty cage

Tkachuk scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Tkachuk finished off the contest with the Panthers' second empty-netter. He's earned four goals and two assists over his last six games at the NHL level. The 28-year-old is up to nine points, 32 shots on net, 21 PIM and 13 hits over 11 contests this season after missing over half of the campaign while recovering from a significant groin injury.

  • Lightning's Dominic James: Tickles twine in loss

James scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

James has three goals and three helpers over his last 11 outings. The 23-year-old has been an effective and versatile forward for the Lightning as a rookie this season, moving around the lineup as necessary. He's at six goals, eight assists, 55 shots on net, 56 hits and a plus-4 rating through 42 appearances. James' ice time will likely drop once Anthony Cirelli (undisclosed) is ready to return.

  • Lightning's Brandon Hagel: Sparks comeback effort

Hagel scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Hagel has three goals and three assists over his last five outings. The winger got the Lightning on the board late in the first period after they gave up the first three goals of the contest. Hagel is up to 28 tallies, 55 points, 154 shots on net, 40 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-29 rating through 52 appearances. Time lost to injuries makes it unlikely Hagel will repeat his 90-point campaign from the 2024-25 regular-season, but he'll challenge his career-best 35-goal mark from last year.

  • Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Extends point streak to 12 games

Kucherov scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Given his recent production, a single goal is a bit of a light output for Kucherov. He has eight goals and 20 helpers over 12 contests during his current point streak, and he's been held off the scoresheet just once in his last 23 games. The superstar winger is at 31 goals, 95 points, 160 shots on net, 38 PIM and a plus-33 rating through 53 appearances this season.

  • Mike Reilly D | CAR

Hurricanes' Mike Reilly: Stuck in press box

Reilly was scratched for the 10th game in a row in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Lightning.

Reilly has played just three times in 19 contests since the start of January. The Hurricanes' defense has been mostly healthy during that time, leaving Reilly in a reserve role, though he'll be ready at a moment's notice if an injury takes out a teammate. The 32-year-old has contributed seven points, 45 shots on net, 27 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 29 appearances this season.
