  • Golden Knights' Colton Sissons: Returning to action Wednesday

Sissons (upper body) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Kings, according to Hannah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now.

Sissons missed 12 straight games before the Olympic break. Across 41 appearances this season, he's recorded three goals, three assists, 61 hits, 26 blocked shots and 15 PIM while averaging 11:48 of playing time.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Ready to return

Ersson (lower body) will serve as the backup goaltender for Wednesday's road game against Washington.

Ersson missed Philadelphia's final three games before the Olympic break due to the injury. Dan Vladar is set to start against the Capitals. Ersson has an 8-10-5 record, 3.51 GAA and .856 save percentage in 24 outings in 2025-26.

  • Zach Benson LW | BUF

Sabres' Zach Benson: Put on injured reserve

Benson (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, per the NHL media site.

Benson won't play during Buffalo's three-game road trip, which begins against New Jersey on Wednesday, but it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. The Sabres also put Jordan Greenway (abdomen) on the IR list, while officially activating Josh Dunne (undisclosed), Josh Norris (upper body) and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) in corresponding moves. Benson has seven goals and 26 points in 42 outings in 2025-26.

  • Senators' Carter Yakemchuk: Sent down to minors

Yakemchuk was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Wednesday.

With Belleville not in action until Friday, Yakemchuk won't be an option for a call-up ahead of Thursday's clash with Detroit. The 20-year-old blueliner has yet to make his NHL debut and may have to wait until next season to do so. Still, with 25 points in 41 minor-league tilts this year, Yakemchuk could have decent future value in dynasty formats.

  • Sabres' Jordan Greenway: Lands on injured reserve

Greenway (abdomen) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, per the NHL media site.

Greenway sat out seven straight games ahead of the Olympic break because of a nagging hernia injury. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to game action, but the Sabres indicated that the 29-year-old is trying a new treatment for his recovery.

  • Mammoth's Alex Kerfoot: Removed from IR

Kerfoot (upper body) was activated off injured reserve in the lead-up to Wednesday's clash with Colorado, per the NHL media site.

Kerfoot will suit up for the first time since Jan. 9, when he suffered his upper-body problem. Injuries have limited the 31-year-old center to just nine appearances this year, in which he notched just one point while averaging 10:20 of ice time. Even with his return to the lineup, Kerfoot is unlikely to offer significant fantasy value, considering he is filling a fourth-line role and won't see much power-play time.

  • Josh Dunne C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Dunne: Off injured reserve

Dunne (undisclosed) was taken off injured reserve Wednesday, per NHL media site.

Dunne hasn't played since Jan. 12 because of the injury. He has a goal and four points in 28 outings in 2025-26. Dunne will probably serve on the fourth line alongside Tyson Kozak and Beck Malenstyn against New Jersey on Wednesday.

  • Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Drawing start in Anaheim

Jarry will defend the road crease against Anaheim on Wednesday, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.

Jarry wasn't particularly effective leading up to the Olympic break, as he went 2-3-0 with a 5.28 GAA and .831 save percentage across his last five outings. However, he'll draw the start in the Oilers' first game following the layoff against the Ducks, who are scoring 3.20 goals per game this year, which ranks 16th in the league.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

    Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Activated Wednesday

Cooley (lower body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's matchup against Colorado, per the NHL media site.

Following a 28-game absence, Cooley is set to occupy a second-line role in addition to linking up with the No. 2 power-play unit. Before getting hurt, Cooley didn't have a point in four straight games, but he could still challenge for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds now that his injury is behind him.

  • David Spacek D | MIN

    Wild's David Spacek: Reassigned Wednesday

Spacek was sent to AHL Iowa on Wednesday.

Spacek has four goals and 20 points in 37 outings with Iowa in 2025-26. He has also recorded no points, one hit and two blocks in two outings with Minnesota this season.
