  • Jack Hughes C | NJ

Devils' Jack Hughes: Not playing against Jackets

Hughes (lower body) will not be in the lineup versus Columbus on Tuesday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Hughes remains hopeful of playing in Thursday's clash with the Islanders, which would be a nice tune-up ahead of his participation in the 2026 Winter Olympics with Team USA. If Hughes does play against the Blue Jackets, he figures to reclaim his spot on the first line and No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Joel Farabee LW | CGY

Flames' Joel Farabee: Two points Monday

Farabee recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Farabee has scored in back-to-back games for the first time since doing so Nov. 26 and Nov. 28 against the Panthers and Lightning, respectively. Farabee, who's among the league leaders in shorthanded goals with four, is up to 12 goals and 11 assists this season. His 12 goals put him in a good spot to reach the 15-goal threshold -- a mark he hasn't achieved since the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Jordan Kyrou C | STL

Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Three helpers in Monday's loss

Kyrou notched three assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 6-5 loss to Nashville.

The Blues' second line of Kyrou, Pavel Buchnevich and Jake Neighbours drove the offense early, amassing three goals and nine points between them as the visitors built up a 5-1 lead that somehow evaporated late. Kyrou has produced two three-point performances in the last three games, and over the last 11 contests, the 27-year-old winger has broken out for four goals and 13 points, including one goal and five assists on the power play.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Scores, assists Monday

Kadri recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Kadri snapped a brief two-game pointless skid, but most importantly, he found the back of the net for the first time since the Jan. 19 loss to the Devils. Kadri hasn't been very productive in recent weeks but seems to be turning things around with five points (two goals, three helpers) over his last eight games. He's suffered from the Flames' struggles as a team, however, as he also has a minus-7 rating over that eight-game stretch.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Won't return before break

Point (lower body) will not be back ahead of the Olympic break, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Tuesday.

Point was previously deemed week-to-week by the club, so this development shouldn't come as a surprise. The 29-year-old center hasn't been ruled out for the Winter Olympics yet, and may still be an option for Team Canada in its Feb. 12 clash with Czechia.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Tagged with loss Monday

Wolf stopped 18 of 21 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. The fourth goal was an empty-netter in the third period.

Wolf was beaten once in the first period and twice in the second. By the time the Maple Leafs added the fourth goal, the netminder was already on the bench as the Flames were pushing for a late equalizer. Wolf has been struggling badly in recent weeks and has dropped eight of his last 10 starts, going 2-7-1 with a 3.51 GAA and an .881 save percentage over that span. Based on his recent struggles, it's hard to trust Wolf right now in most formats.

  • Blues' Jake Neighbours: Three points in Nashville

Neighbours scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Predators.

After missing the prior game due to an upper-body injury, the 23-year-old winger opened the scoring early in the first period by redirecting a pass from Justin Faulk, spurring the Blues to a 5-1 lead that somehow evaporated late. It was Neighbours' first three-point performance of the season, and over the last 10 contests, he's collected four goals and eight points.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Shutdown before break

Cirelli (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the Lightning's last two games before the Olympic break, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Tuesday.

Cirelli hasn't been replaced on Canada's Olympic roster yet, so he could still be in action against Czechia on Feb. 12. With Nick Paul (undisclosed) also unavailable, the team may consider moving Jake Guentzel to the middle in order to fill out the depth chart.

  • Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Three-point effort in loss

Buchnevich scored two goals, one on the power play, and added an even-strength assist in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Predators.

The veteran was part of three straight tallies for the Blues between the late first and early second periods as they built a 5-1 lead, before the home side put together a remarkable rally. Buchnevich has caught fire over the last couple of weeks, racking up three goals and eight points in the last six games, including one goal and three assists with the man advantage.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Fades late in Nashville

Hofer made 22 saves in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Predators.

St. Louis took a 5-1 lead early in the second period on a Colton Parayko tally, but Hofer and the Blues' defense crumbled over the second half of the game. It was the 25-year-old netminder's worst performance since Oct. 15, when he gave up seven goals to Chicago, and Hofer has gone 2-2-1 over his last five starts with a shaky 3.52 GAA and .858 save percentage.
