John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Rough week continues
Gibson allowed four goals on 17 shots before being relieved after two periods in a 5-0 loss to the Avalanche on Saturday.
The Red Wings came out of the gate fast and had a couple of great scoring chances that they couldn't convert. After that, they became spectators, and Gibson was left to fend for himself. It's been a rough week for the netminder, who is 0-2-1 with nine goals allowed on 61 shots in three games for a save percentage of .852.

Hendrix Lapierre C | WAS
Capitals' Hendrix Lapierre: Sparks comeback with goal
Lapierre scored a goal and put four shots on net in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes.
After the Capitals went down three goals, Lapierre helped start their four-goal rally with a twine finder midway through the second period. Overall, the 23-year-old center is up to two goals, nine points, 41 shots on net and 32 hits through 53 games this season. Despite having his upside capped in a checking-line role, the young center has passed his offensive output of eight points through 27 regular-season games from a year ago, thanks to a trio of points across his last five appearances. Lapierre's recent run of play likely won't warrant him much consideration in standard fantasy leagues. However, he remains an intriguing stash in dynasty leagues if he can continue to find the scoresheet.

Brock Nelson C | COL
Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Road warrior extends streak
Nelson delivered an assist Saturday in a 5-0 win over Detroit.
Nelson is on a four-game, six-point scoring streak (four goals, two assists). He also has points in 12 straight road games (11 goals, six assists), which is one game behind Connor McDavid for the NHL's longest current streak. Overall, Nelson has 28 goals, 20 assists and 118 shots in 53 games this season.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Exits Saturday's game
Chabot (undisclosed) won't return to Saturday's game against New Jersey for precautionary reasons.
Chabot had one shot, one block and two hits in 15:59 of ice time before leaving the game. The Senators specifying that Chabot's exit was precautionary does make it seem more likely that he'll still play Monday in Pittsburgh. However, if Chabot does end up missing that game, then Nikolas Matinpalo will probably draw into the lineup.

Jakob Chychrun D | WAS
Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: One of each in comeback win
Chychrun scored a goal, supplied an assist, fired six shots on net and served two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Carolina.
Chychrun chipped in a secondary helper on Dylan Strome's goal in the second period before later finding twine himself for the game-tying goal late in the third period. Following Saturday's pair of points, Chychrun is up to 19 goals, 24 assists, 173 shots on net, 45 hits and 74 blocked shots across 54 games this season. With 43 points, he is tied for eighth in the NHL among defensemen. The 27-year-old blueliner is not only firing the puck at an elite rate for a defenseman, but he also ranks 13th among all NHL skaters in shots on net. Chychrun is entering elite territory for defensemen in fantasy and is well on the way to posting his first campaign with 50-plus points across his 10-year career.

Brent Burns D | COL
Avalanche's Brent Burns: Now tied for 7th all-time in goals
Burns scored the game-winning goal Saturday in a 5-0 win over the Red Wings.
He now has 26 points, including nine goals, and 114 shots in 53 games this season. Burns' goal was the 270th of his NHL career, which ties him with Bobby Orr for seventh all-time among defensemen. The next records in his sights? Among defensemen, Burns is 11th all-time in points, just 12 behind Chris Chelios (948), and seventh all-time in games played (1,550), just 14 behind Nicklas Lidstrom (1,564). Burns is also the closest to Phil Kessel's ironman streak. The 40-year-old blueliner is at 978 consecutive games, and he will need to play deep into next season to get to Phil the Thrill's 1,064.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Starting in Vegas
Daccord will protect the road goal versus the Golden Knights on Saturday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Daccord will get the nod for a second game in a row after earning a 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Thursday. It will be Daccord's first instance of consecutive starts since Dec. 18-20, as he's lost playing time to Philipp Grubauer. The Kraken's goalie rotation hasn't exactly been predictable, but Daccord earning a third straight win would likely do a lot to help him in an effort to reclaim a majority of the playing time.

Dylan Strome C | WAS
Capitals' Dylan Strome: Finds twine in win
Strome tallied a goal and recorded three shots on net in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes.
Strome tallied the latter of two goals in the second period for Washington en route to the team's comeback victory. With the twine finder, the 28-year-old center now has 16 goals, 45 points, 108 shots on net and 34 blocked shots across 54 games this season. Since Jan. 11, the Capitals' top-line center has excelled with six goals, 12 points and 30 shots on net across the last 11 games. While his offensive numbers are slightly behind the necessary pace to replicate his point-per-game campaign over 82 regular-season outings in 2024-25, Strome is still on track for a highly productive season. Considering his current form, he is well on the way to his fourth consecutive campaign with 65 points or more, making him a strong fantasy option for the rest of the campaign.

Artturi Lehkonen LW | COL
Avalanche's Artturi Lehkonen: Two apples in win
Lehkonen had two assists Saturday in a 5-0 win over Detroit.
Lehkonen continues to pace toward a career season. He has 40 points, including 23 assists, in 53 games this season. His previous best came in 2022-23 when he put up 51 points in 64 regular-season games. Lehkonen's scoring has slowed lately, though -- he has two goals, four assists and 25 shots in his last 12 outings. He continues to skate with the NHL's goal leader, Nathan MacKinnon, at even strength, and that will give him plenty of opportunities to put up points.

Justin Sourdif RW | WAS
Capitals' Justin Sourdif: Nets OT winner
Sourdif scored the game-winning goal, fired five shots on net and dished out three hits in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Carolina.
Sourdif launched a shot from the left wing before following his own miss to score the game-winning goal on the rebound. With the OT-winning tally, he is up to 12 goals, 25 points, 76 shots on goal, 63 hits and 24 blocked shots across 51 games this season. Following a two-game absence from the scoresheet, his tally Saturday has helped him maintain a point-per-game pace with three goals over the last six games. Since Dec. 31, he has led the Capitals offensively with nine goals and 16 points. The 23-year-old center appears to be a lock for top-six minutes until Pierre-Luc Dubois (abdomen) returns from injured reserve, making Sourdif a top waiver-wire add across most fantasy formats in the interim.
