  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Homers in four-hit game

Profar went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Monday's 3-1 win over the Astros.

The only blemish on Profar's stat line was when he was caught stealing in the third inning. His bat started to fade in late August, but the outfielder has gone 14-for-43 (.326) with five extra-base hits and nine walks over 12 contests in September. This has been his best season to date, as Profar is slashing .285/.386/.467 with 23 homers, 83 RBI and 87 runs scored, all of which are career highs. He's added nine stolen bases and 27 doubles.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Smacks solo homer in loss

Profar went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk in Thursday's loss to Detroit.

Profar got the Padres on the board with a 411-foot solo homer off Casey Mize in the first inning and later drew a free pass, extending his streak of games with at least one walk to five. The long ball was Profar's 22nd of the season and his first in September -- he's batting just .125 (1-for-8) with two RBI, five walks and a run scored on the month. The outfielder has really struggled at the plate down the stretch, as he also batted just .196 in August. However, he's somewhat been able to make up for his lack of hitting by drawing 18 walks since the start of August, which has helped him score 20 runs over that span.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Rare day off Monday

Profar is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Tigers, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

It's the first day off since June 22 for Profar, who has just one hit over his last seven games, though he has drawn nine walks over that span. David Peralta will take over in left field while Profar gets a breather.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Reaches five times in rout

Profar went 1-for-2 with four walks, two runs and a stolen base in a 13-5 win against Tampa Bay on Friday.

Profar did an excellent job setting the table out of the leadoff spot for San Diego, drawing four free passes and adding a single. The All-Star outfielder busted a four-game mini-slump during which he went 0-for-14. Despite that brief downturn, Profar has been an overall consistent producer for the Padres this season, slashing .283/.384/.465 with 21 home runs, 80 RBI, 79 runs and eight stolen bases through 566 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Goes deep in comeback win

Profar went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Mets.

Profar finally got the Padres on the board with a game-tying two-run blast in the eighth inning and they would go on to walk it off in the ninth. He has at least a hit in four straight games, which also includes an extra-base hit in three straight. The home run was his 21st of the year, a new career-high for the 31-year-old in his 11th season. For the year, Profar is slashing .291/.386/.478 with 79 RBI, 75 runs, seven steals and a 58:80 BB:K in 541 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Hits clutch home run

Profar went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Twins.

Profar's bat woke up when it mattered most, as he took Steven Okert deep in the eighth to put the Padres ahead 6-5. It was his first home run since Aug. 4 and and his first multi-RBI game since July 31. He's been a revelation for the Padres this season; the 31-year-old is slashing .290/.387/.474 with 20 homers, 76 RBI, 74 runs, seven steals and a 57:76 BB:K in 521 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Records steal Monday

Profar went 1-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base in a 5-3 win against Minnesota on Monday.

Profar had been in a cold spell coming into the contest, going 4-for-27 with only one extra-base hit over his previous seven games. Though he had just one base knock against the Twins, he added some useful fantasy production with a pair of runs and a theft. Profar has slowed down a bit after an excellent first half of the campaign, but he's still slashing a solid .290/.388/.469 with 19 homers, 73 RBI, 73 runs and seven stolen bases over 124 contests on the season.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Cleared to start Thursday

Profar (knee) will start in left field and bat second in Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Profar was lifted for a pinch runner in the top of the sixth inning of Wednesday's 9-8 extra-inning win after he was hit just below the right kneecap by a 95-mile-per-hour fastball. Per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune, X-rays on Profar's knee came back negative, and he didn't appear to be limping around the clubhouse following Wednesday's game. As such, the Padres evidently felt comfortable enough with inserting Profar back in the lineup for the series finale.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Exits after HBP

Profar was removed from Wednesday's game against the Pirates after getting hit in the knee by a pitch, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Profar took a 95-mph fastball off his right knee in the sixth inning. He was able to limp to first base and remained in the game after being examined by trainers, but the decision to pull him was made after he had a hard time running to second base on a Xander Bogaerts single. The severity of Profar's injury is still unknown, but Bryce Johnson could be in line to make a start in the outfield if the 31-year-old is forced to miss any amount of time.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: X-rays negative

X-rays on Profar's right knee came back negative after Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Profar was forced out of Wednesday's game after he took a pitch off his knee and struggled to run the bases in the sixth inning, but he seems to have escaped the incident without suffering any significant injuries. He's being viewed as day-to-day for now, and Bryce Johnson would be a likely option to start if Profar is unable to play in Thursday's series finale.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Cranks two more homers

Profar went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 6-4 win over the Orioles.

Profar's homers proved to be the difference -- he got the Padres on the board in the fourth inning with a two-run shot off Grayson Rodriguez before putting San Diego ahead for good by going deep off Craig Kimbrel in the ninth. Profar has been on a tear of late, going 8-for-23 (.348) with four homers in his last five contests. His slash line is up to .301/.387/.493 through 104 games this season with 18 home runs, just two shy of a career high.
