Way was released by the Angels last week, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports.
Way was a seventh-round draft pick by the Angels in 2014 who has displayed decent hitting ability and speed but very little power throughout his time in the minors. In 609 career minor-league games, Way has hit .278 with 96 steals while swatting a meager 16 home runs.
