Canzone is not in the lineup versus Angels on Tuesday. Canzone is absent from the lineup after starting in Monday's 6-2 win against the Angels, in which he went 1-for-4 with a home run. • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Pops 13th homer

Canzone went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-2 win over the Angels. Canzone has been battling a minor hamstring issue over the last week. He typically serves as the designated hitter anyway, and that's where he slotted in Monday. He has gone 12-for-46 (.261) with five homers and nine RBI over his last 15 contests. For the season, the 28-year-old has batted .273 with an .899 OPS, 13 homers, 34 RBI, 30 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and one stolen base across 219 plate appearances. He should continue to see a strong-side platoon role at DH, though Canzone has also been in the lineup against the last two and three of the last four southpaws the Mariners have faced.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Back in Seattle lineup

Canzone (hamstring) will start at designated hitter and bat third in Monday's game against the Angels. Canzone missed Sunday's game versus the Guardians while nursing a sore right hamstring. He's still not 100 percent but is feeling well enough to serve as the Mariners' DH, per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times. Canzone leads Mariners regulars this season with an .891 OPS.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Resting hamstring Sunday

Canzonze is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians in order to rest his ailing right hamstring, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. Canzone missed one game after sustaining the right hamstring injury last Sunday versus Boston, but he returned Wednesday and started three of the past four games. He doesn't appear to have suffered a setback and is instead just resting the hamstring, so Canzone will most likely return to the lineup Monday against the Angels.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Absent from lineup

Canzone is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Pittsburgh. Canzone returned to the lineup Wednesday following a one-day absence with a right hamstring injury, but he'll be back on the bench Thursday. He did not suffer any known setback Wednesday, so the Mariners are likely just giving Canzone a break for Thursday's matinee. Cal Raleigh is in the designated-hitter slot, and Mitch Garver will grab a start at catcher.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Not starting Tuesday

Canzone (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates. Canzone will miss at least one start after departing Sunday's game against the Red Sox due to a hamstring injury. The severity of the injury isn't clear, but the 28-year-old should be considered day-to-day until more information is available. Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is serving as the DH in his return from the injured list.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Dealing with hamstring injury

Canzone suffered a right hamstring injury during Sunday's 3-1 win over the Red Sox, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. Canzone exited the contest in the bottom of the sixth frame after hustling down the line on the groundout. The 28-year-old grabbed at his right leg after crossing first base, and it is now understood that he is dealing a hamstring injury. Canzone will travel with the team to Pittsburgh before Seattle will open a three-game series against the Pirates on Tuesday, and he is considered day-to-day for the time being.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Swats homer No. 10

Canzone went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 10-2 rout of the Nationals. The 28-year-old got the nod at DH and launched his first career triple in the second inning before connecting on his 10th homer of the season in the eighth with a solo shot off Paxton Schultz. Canzone has six multi-hit performances in the last 13 games, a stretch in which he's slashing a blistering .436/.463/.949 with nine of his 17 hits going for extra bases, including five home runs.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Launches eighth homer

Canzone went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Tigers. After just missing a homer to straightaway center field in the second inning and settling for an RBI double, Canzone got hold of a Keider Montero fastball to lead off the fourth and crushed it 451 feet. It was Canzone's third homer and his fourth multi-hit performance in the last seven games, a surge that has pushed his slash line on the year to .275/.342/.529 with eight long balls, 21 runs and 25 RBI in 56 contests.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Stays hot with three hits

Canzone went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Mets. Canzone logged his third multi-hit effort over the last four games. The 28-year-old is doing his part to maintain his status as the Mariners' strong-side platoon option at designated hitter. He has gone 9-for-23 (.391) over his last seven games, lifting him to a .264 average and .840 OPS with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored and a stolen base over 53 contests this season.

Canzone went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Diamondbacks. Canzone restored a one-run lead for the Mariners in the bottom of the sixth inning. He has gone deep in three of his last four games and has a total of six extra-base hits over his last eight contests. • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Lifts grand slam in win

Canzone went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a sacrifice fly in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Astros. Canzone set a career high with five RBI in this contest. He hit the grand slam in the fourth inning to blow the game open for the Mariners, and he added the sac fly as icing in the ninth. This may be the jump start he needs to get back on track -- even with this effort, he's just 3-for-19 with a 3:6 BB:K over 10 games in May. For the season, he's hitting .256 with a .797 OPS, four homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored, seven doubles and a stolen base over 97 plate appearances. Canzone is handling a platoon role as the Mariners' preferred designated hitter against right-handed pitchers, though he could fill in as a corner outfielder if injuries pile up.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Exiting lineup versus lefty

Canzone is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals. With the Mariners facing off against a lefty starter (Kris Bubic) for the second time in the series, the left-handed-hitting Canzone will once again exit the starting nine. Rob Refsnyder will replace Canzone as the Mariners' designated hitter.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Taking seat against southpaw

Canzone is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins. Canzone will hit the bench for the third time in six games, with each of his absences coming while the Mariners have faced left-handed starting pitchers. He'll cede his spot in the lineup Monday to Mitch Garver, who starts at catcher while Cal Raleigh serves as Seattle's designated hitter.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Taking seat against lefty

Canzone is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers. Canzone will take a seat along with fellow left-handed hitters Luke Raley, Brendan Donovan (hip) and Josh Naylor while the Rangers send southpaw MacKenzie Gore to the hill. With Canzone on the bench, Cal Raleigh will get a day off from catching but will remain in the lineup at designated hitter.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Blasts two long balls in opener

Canzone went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs Thursday in an Opening Day loss to the Guardians. All four of Seattle's runs in the game came on solo homers, and Canzone was responsible for two of those. He took Tanner Bibee (shoulder) deep in the second inning and added a 444-foot shot off Shawn Armstrong in the seventh. Canzone belted 11 home runs across 268 regular-season plate appearances last season, so he has the potential to be a decent source of power. He started at DH on Thursday and should also log time in the outfield, potentially giving him enough playing time to be worth a look in most fantasy leagues.

Canzone is not in the Mariners' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Friday. Even with right-hander Emmet Sheehan on the mound for the Dodgers in Friday's series opener, Canzone will be on the bench for the start of the game while Josh Naylor serves as the designated hitter and Luke Raley gets the nod at first base. Canzone has logged at least one hit in five of his last six games and has a 1.151 OPS with four home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in 51 plate appearances since Sept. 1.

He's often been in a bench role as he competes with Victor Robles and Luke Raley for time in right field. Canzone is at a .287/.349/.435 slash line with seven home runs, 24 RBI, 22 runs scored, 10 doubles and two stolen bases over 232 plate appearances this season.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Out of Wednesday's lineup

Canzone is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Padres. After missing more than a week due to a wrist issue, Canzone returned to the lineup for Tuesday's 7-6 loss and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. Though the left-handed-hitting Canzone should be a regular presence in the Seattle lineup against righties now that he's healthy again, he'll take a seat for Wednesday's day game while righty Yu Darvish is on the hill for the Padres. Seattle will turn to Luke Raley in right field.
