    Delgado was removed from Wednesday's game against Minnesota due to a dislocated pinky on his right hand.

    A groundball off the bat of Trevor Larnach bounced off of second base and connected with Delgado's right hand, forcing the latter to come out of the game in the fifth inning. It's unclear if the injury to his throwing hand will require a trip to the injured list.

  • Astros' Raynel Delgado: Back in majors

    The Astros recalled Delgado from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

    The 26-year-old was optioned to Sugar Land on Monday but will quickly return to the majors since Jeremy Pena (calf) landed on the injured list. Delgado received his first promotion to the majors in mid-June and is batting .280 (7-for-25) with a homer, four RBI and two runs in his first 13 games.

It's the first home run for Delgado in his first 27 major-league plate appearances. The 26-year-old infielder has gone 7-for-25 (.280) with a .708 OPS, four RBI and two runs scored in 13 games with Houston.

    Delgado spent the entire 2025 season with the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate, slashing .281/.363/.378 with 53 RBI, 58 runs scored and 40 stolen bases across 474 plate appearances. The 25-year-old infielder has yet to make his big-league debut but will get a chance to compete for a roster spot during spring training.

    The Brewers signed Delgado to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
