76ers' Ricky Council: Back in rotation
Council notched six points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and one steal in nine minutes during Monday's 121-108 victory over Charlotte.
After two straight DNPs via coach's decision, Council has totaled 30 minutes over the last two games, which coincides with Jared McCain's (knee) injury. Caleb Martin (shoulder) should be back in action soon, so Council isn't guaranteed a consistent role, even with McCain done for the season.

76ers' Eric Gordon: Plays 26 minutes off bench
Gordon finished with nine points (3-5 FG, 3-5 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 121-108 victory over the Hornets.
With Jared McCain (knee) done for the season, Gordon saw game action for the first time since Nov. 30 and played his most minutes since Oct. 27, when he played a season-high 32 during a win over the Pacers. Gordon has played 20-plus minutes only six times this season but should stick in the rotation as long as Caleb Martin (shoulder) remains out.

76ers' Andre Drummond: Big night on glass
Drummond accumulated nine points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 28 minutes during Monday's 121-108 win over the Hornets.
With Joel Embiid (sinus fracture) in street clothes with yet another injury, Drummond slid back into the starting lineup and produced his best numbers on the glass since he pulled down 17 boards Oct. 27 against the Pacers. Embiid is expected to miss at least a couple more games, so while Drummond will split the workload at center with Guerschon Yabusele, the 31-year-old should have short-term fantasy value once again.

76ers' Kelly Oubre: Just misses double-double Monday
Oubre produced 19 points (7-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Monday's 121-108 victory over Charlotte.
The veteran wing continues to impress on the glass, falling one board short of his fourth straight double-double. Oubre's 19 points were also his highest total since he moved back into the starting five Nov. 22, and during that 10-game span, he's averaging 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.5 threes and 0.8 blocks while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor. With breakout rookie Jared McCain (knee) sidelined indefinitely pending surgery, Oubre's role seems secure.

76ers' Paul George: Erupts for season-high 33
George contributed 33 points (13-20 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Monday's 121-108 win over Charlotte.
The veteran forward delivered his highest-scoring game as a 76er so far, while also making an impact at the defensive end of the court. Philly is still keeping an eye on George's troublesome knee, but he played a season high in minutes Monday and might be getting close to 100 percent healthy. Over his last six appearances, George is averaging 20.2 points, 5.7 assists, 5.2 boards, 2.8 threes, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 45.9 percent (17-for-37) from beyond the arc.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Drops 40 points in victory
Maxey contributed 40 points (12-28 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 10-13 FT), five rebounds, five assists and four steals across 40 minutes during Monday's 121-108 win over the Hornets.
The superstar led the 76ers in points and steals while tying Paul George for the game high in three-pointers. Maxey delivered a stellar performance from beyond the arc, tying his season-high mark in threes made. The 24-year-old also logged his second 40-plus-point outing through 18 regular-season appearances Monday. Maxey continues to string together impressive fantasy outings, and he should serve as the club's top option while Joel Embiid (sinus fracture) is sidelined.

76ers' Andre Drummond: Back in starting lineup
Drummond is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Charlotte, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Drummond came off the bench in the 76ers' last two games, but he'll rejoin the starting five Monday due to Joel Embiid being sidelined with a sinus fracture. Across 12 starts this season, Drummond has averaged 9.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals over 24.6 minutes per game.

Yabusele won't start Monday's game against the Hornets, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
With Joel Embiid (face) out, the Sixers will start KJ Martin and Andre Drummond in the frontcourt, marking Yabusele's first appearance off the bench since Nov. 20. As a reserve this season (13 games), Yabusele has averaged 9.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 20.3 minutes.

The 76ers announced Monday that Embiid (sinus fracture) will be re-evaluated in one week, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Given this timetable, Embiid will miss at least the next three games for the 76ers. If he's re-evaluated prior to their game on Dec. 23, a return against the Spurs could potentially be on the table. With Embiid sidelined for at least a few games, the 76ers will need to rely heavily on Andre Drummond and Guerschon Yabusele in the frontcourt. Meanwhile, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey are likely to soak up more usage.

Lowry (back) isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's game against the Hornets.
Lowry was a late scratch Friday against the Pacers due to back spasms, but the veteran should return to action Monday. With Jared McCain (knee) out for the season, Lowry's role could increase again. He averaged 24.2 minutes per game across the first 13 games this season but hasn't played more than 13 minutes in a game since Nov. 18.

Embiid has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hornets due to a right sinus fracture.
Embiid was diagnosed with a sinus fracture after leaving Friday's loss to the Pacers, but at first, the 76ers didn't want to rule the big man out for Monday's contest. Given his injury history, it's certainly possible Embiid will miss additional contests, but for now, he's being treated as day-to-day. His next chance to suit up will come Friday during a rematch against the Hornets, while Andre Drummond and Guerschon Yabusele are candidates for increased roles in Embiid's absence.

76ers' Jared McCain: Suffers meniscus tear
The 76ers announced Saturday that following Friday's game versus the Pacers, an MRI revealed a lateral meniscus tear in McCain's left knee. The rookie guard will undergo surgery and is out indefinitely, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports.
McCain's meniscus is a major blow to Philadelphia, as the team's laundry list of injuries has resulted in a 7-16 record. McCain had been the Rookie of the Year frontrunner, as he was averaging 15.3 points, 2.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 25.7 minutes on 46.0/38.3/87.5 shooting splits across his first 23 appearances. While the 20-year-old guard hasn't been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign yet, he is set to miss a significant period. Reggie Jackson and Kyle Lowry (back) are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence.
