Adrian Clayborn: Cut loose by Browns
The Browns released Clayborn on Tuesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
This move provides the Browns roughly $3 million in salary-cap space when the new league year begins March 17. Clayborn played 14 games for the Browns in 2020, averaging 27 defensive snaps per contest and producing 12 tackles, 3.5 sacks and a pass breakup. The 32-year-old defensive end will seek his fourth team in four years.

Browns' Adrian Clayborn: Steps into starting role
Clayborn will start at defensive end Sunday against the Steelers with Olivier Vernon (Achilles) sidelined, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
Vernon will be out indefinitely after rupturing his Achilles during the final game of the regular season, opening up the starting spot. Clayborn filled a rotational role for most of the season and had 12 tackles (six solo), 3.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 15 games. Porter Gustin should also see more playing time for Cleveland.

Browns' Adrian Clayborn: Starting Week 12
Clayborn will start at defensive end Sunday against the Jaguars, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
The 32-year-old had 1.5 sacks last week against the Eagles and will make his second start of the season Sunday. Clayborn should have an increased workload with fellow defensive ends Myles Garrett (illness) and Porter Gustin (undisclosed) on the COVID-19 list.
