Browns' Donald Stephenson: Decides to retire
Stephenson (suspension) has decided to retire after six NFL seasons, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.
A third-round pick of the Chiefs in 2012, Stephenson signed a one-year contract with the Browns earlier this offseason. He was expected to compete for the starting role at right tackle, but he skipped all of voluntary workouts and mandatory minicamp last month and was suspended for the first two games of the season. With his retirement announced, it's expected that Chris Hubbard will get the starting nod at right tackle to start the season for the Browns.

Browns' Donald Stephenson: Suspended for two games
Stephenson was suspended for the first two games of the regular season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
While Stephenson is still eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason activities, he won't be able to return to the team until after the Browns' Week 2 matchup with the Saints. Stephenson is a backup on the offensive line, so his two-week absence shouldn't have a huge impact.

Browns' Donald Stephenson: Packs bags for Cleveland
Stephenson signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Browns on Tuesday, Nate Ulrich of The Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Stephenson was brought on board in case 10-time Pro Bowler Joe Thomas (triceps) retires. However, Stephenson was only healthy for seven games in 2017, and the 29-year-old only started in four of those outings, so he'll likely have to compete for starting job if Thomas does call it quits.

Broncos' Donald Stephenson: Downgraded to out
The Broncos have ruled Stephenson (hand) out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.
Stephenson was limited in practice all week by the hand injury, so the Broncos won't take any chances with him while he's still hurting heading into a mostly meaningless season finale. His absence will open up a start at right tackle for either Cyrus Kouandjio or Allen Barbre.

Broncos' Donald Stephenson: Will play Sunday
Stephenson (calf) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Stephenson was listed as questionable but was a full participant at practice Friday so this isn't surprising. Stephenson has been dealing with the calf issue for much of the season but appears ready to go for Sunday's game.

Broncos' Donald Stephenson: Questionable for Sunday
Stephenson (calf) practiced at full capacity Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com reports.
Stephenson looks like he could be ready to play after he kicked off the week with limited practices Wednesday and Thursday before going full Friday. He's a backup tackle anyway, so he'll play behind Allen Barbre if available Sunday.

Broncos' Donald Stephenson: Out for Monday's game
Stephenson (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Kansas City, Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com reports.
The Broncos' concern that Stephenson could miss Monday's game came to fruition Saturday. Given that he was considered week-to-week, it is reasonable to assume he'll have an injury tag of some sort entering Week 9.

Broncos' Donald Stephenson: Not playing Sunday with mystery issue
Stephenson was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers with an undisclosed injury, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.

Broncos' Donald Stephenson: Out due to calf injury
Stephenson, who was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers earlier Friday, is dealing with a calf injury, Nick Kosmider and Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post report.
Stephenson is considered week-to-week with the injury, suggesting that he could miss time beyond Sunday. Though Stephenson is a reserve tackle for the Broncos, his absence will loom larger than normal in Week 7 with starting right tackle Menelik Watson (calf) also ruled out.
