  • Eagles' Lane Johnson: Returning for 14th season

Johnson (foot) said Thursday that he'll play for the Eagles in 2026, opting against retirement, per Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Johnson will turn 36 in May after missing the final eight games of the 2025 campaign due to a Lisfranc injury. It's unclear if he had surgery, with Thursday's report merely noting that he's continuing his rehab and working to get back to full strength. The future Hall of Famer is under contract through 2027 with the only NFL team he's ever known, ranking among the elite at his position for more than a decade. Even if he declines some after the foot injury, Johnson's decision to keep playing is probably good news for the fantasy value of QB Jalen Hurts and RB Saquon Barkley.

  • Eagles' Lane Johnson: Questionable with foot issue

Johnson (foot) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers. Johnson logged limited practices throughout the week, maintaining a chance to play in Sunday's game. The starting right tackle has not played in a game since Week 11 against the Lions, when he suffered a foot injury after just 14 snaps. If Johnson can return for Sunday's game he will replace Fred Johnson at offensive tackle, making the Eagles' offensive line whole again for the first time in seven weeks.

  • Eagles' Lane Johnson: Won't play vs. Washington

Johnson (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders. Johnson has yet to play or practice since sustaining a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot in Week 11 against the Lions, so Fred Johnson should remain the starter at right tackle for Sunday's regular-season finale. Johnson will aim to return for the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs.

Johnson (foot) did not participate in Thursday's practice. Johnson has been held out of action since Week 11 due to a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot. The Eagles locked up the NFC East division title, so even if Johnson were cleared to play, he and other prominent starters will likely be rested for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Commanders.

Johnson (foot) was listed as having not practiced in Wednesday's walkthrough. Johnson has not played since Week 11 while dealing with a Lisfranc sprain. Johnson (foot) was estimated as a non-participant for the Eagles' walkthrough practice Tuesday. Johnson has missed Philadelphia's last four games recovering from a Lisfranc sprain he suffered in Week 11 versus the Lions, and now his availability for Week 16 is in jeopardy as well. He'll likely need to practice in some capacity Wednesday or Thursday to have any chance to play Saturday at Washington.

  • Eagles' Lane Johnson: Expected to miss up to six weeks

Johnson (foot) has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain and is expected to be sidelined four-to-six weeks, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Johnson is among the best right tackles in the NFL, so this is a massive loss for the Philadelphia offense. If the timeline holds true, the veteran should be back in time for a potential playoff push. Losing Johnson could mean a downgrade in fantasy upside for both Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Fred Johnson should be the next man up at right tackle for the Eagles after he filled in against the Lions in Week 11.

Johnson (rest) practiced in a limited fashion Monday, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Johnson has yet to appear in any preseason action, as the Eagles are trying to be as cautious as possible with their star right tackle. The 35-year-old is still widely regarded as one of the best offensive linemen in the league and signed a one-year contract extension in March to stay in Philadelphia through 2027. He will line up next to a new right guard this year in Tyler Steen as Mekhi Becton signed with the Chargers in free agency, and it will be interesting to see if the duo gets any reps together in Friday's preseason finale against the Jets.

Johnson will be 35 at the start of next season but, as evidenced by his recent accolades, appears to have plenty still left in the tank.
