Cornelius Lucas: Cut by Cleveland
The Browns released Lucas on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Lucas appeared in 10 games for Cleveland in 2025 and made five starts at tackle. The 34-year-old was just one season into a three-year deal and will now look to catch on with another team.

Browns' Cornelius Lucas: Practices in full
Lucas (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Lucas was forced to miss Week 10 against the Jets with a back injury that popped up on last Friday's injury report. Since then, the backup right tackle has logged a limited practice session Wednesday and upgraded to a full session Thursday. The 34-year-old veteran looks to be on track to suit up for Sunday's contest against the Ravens and reclaim his spot on the depth chart as the backup right tackle to Jack Conklin.

Lucas (back) has been ruled out for Cleveland's game versus the Jets on Sunday.
Lucas popped up on the injury report Friday and will now be forced to miss his fourth game of the season. In his absence, KT Leveston should serve as the backup right tackle behind Jack Conklin.

With Conklin in concussion protocol, Lucas will make his fifth start of the season in Week 7. Lucas made his last start in Week 4 against the Lions.

Browns' Cornelius Lucas: Taken off injury report
Lucas (ankle) wasn't listed on Cleveland's injury report Wednesday.
Lucas is now fully recovered from the ankle injury he suffered during the team's preseason matchup versus the Eagles last month. Now healthy, the 34-year-old is expected to serve as the team's No. 2 left tackle behind Dawan Jones after signing with the team in March.

Browns' Cornelius Lucas: Ruled out Saturday with ankle issue
Lucas has been declared out for the remainder of Saturday's preseason game against Philadelphia due to an ankle injury.
Lucas limped to the locker room in the first half and isn't going to be able to return to the game. The veteran offensive lineman signed with Cleveland during the offseason and is slated to serve in a rotational role at tackle during the 2025 campaign, provided the ankle injury doesn't prove to be serious.
