  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Elevated to active roster

The Texans promoted Beck to the active roster for Week 16 against Kansas City. He played 12 snaps on offense and was targeted once. Beck was elevated to the active roster for the first time since being signed to the practice squad in November. He appeared in 15 games for the Texans in 2023 and is familiar with the system. Beck is a fullback by trade but added tight end to his resume since entering the NFL.

  • Andrew Beck: Lands in Houston

The Texans signed Beck to the practice squad Thursday. Beck was cut from the Packers' practice squad Oct. 22 after reaching the three-game maximum of gameday elevations to the active roster. Beck will be available for elevation to the Texans' 53-man roster should Houston need depth at running back and on special teams. He's also played tight end and could be useful there after the Texans placed Teagan Quitoriano (knee) on injured reserve.

  • Andrew Beck: Let go by Houston

Beck was released by the Texans on Tuesday. Beck missed the Texans' final two preseason games after aggravating a calf injury. He played in 15 regular-season games for Houston in 2023, and he should garner interest from teams in need of a fullback.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Isn't playing vs. Giants

Beck (calf) is out for Saturday's preseason game versus the Giants, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Beck sat out Houston's first two preseason games as well. Until he returns, Troy Hairston should take the lion's share of Houston's fullback reps.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Comes off PUP list

The Texans activated Beck (calf) off the active/PUP list Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Beck was spotted participating in Monday's practice, so it seems as if he's moved past his strained calf. The sixth-year pro will spend his second season in Houston in 2024 after playing 507 total snaps (322 offensive) for the Texans last year. Now that Beck has returned to full health, he's expected to remain Houston's top fullback in 2024.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Good to go

Beck (back) is available to play in Saturday's matchup with the Ravens, Drew Dougherty of the Texans' official website reports. Beck drew a questionable designation due to a calf injury in each of the last three weeks. He played through the issue the last two games and will do so again in Baltimore. Look for him to take on his usual role at fullback assuming he avoids any setbacks.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Questionable for Saturday

Beck (calf) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Browns. Beck went limited Tuesday, DNP Wednesday and limited Thursday to earn the questionable tag going into the wild-card affair. The veteran fullback/tight end hybrid caught 11 passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets during the regular season.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Not available Sunday

Beck (calf) is inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans, Drew Dougherty of the Texans' official site reports. The 27-year-old was originally listed as questionable after popping up on Houston's injury report as a limited participant in Friday's practice due to a calf injury, and it now seems as if he won't be able to play through that issue Sunday. Beck's next chance to play will come in Week 18 against the Colts.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Questionable for Week 17

Beck (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans. Beck wasn't listed on the injury report Wednesday or Thursday but popped up as limited Friday, putting his status in question. Beck caught both of his targets for six yards, including a one-yard touchdown, in Sunday's 36-22 loss to Cleveland. The fullback caught one of two garbage-time touchdown throws from Davis Mills in the loss. • Texans' Andrew Beck: Rips off 26-yard gain

Beck logged 15 of 56 snaps on offense and hauled in his lone target for a 26-yard reception in Sunday's 30-6 loss to the Jets. Beck's third-quarter reception was the biggest play of the day for a Texans offense that struggled to move the ball even before starting quarterback C.J. Stroud exited the game in the fourth quarter with a concussion. The fullback has now recorded a reception in three straight contests, but he's unlikely to emerge as a higher-priority option in the passing attack in the final four weeks of the regular season regardless of whether Stroud is able to play in any of those contests.

  • Texans' Andrew Beck: Won't suit up at Cincinnati

Beck (shoulder) is listed as out for Sunday's game at the Bengals, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Beck did not practice at all during the week, so he'll miss his first game of the season in Week 10. With Troy Hairston (back) on the injured reserve list, Houston will be without a fullback Sunday.

Beck (shoulder/elbow/ankle) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. • Texans' Andrew Beck: Plays Saturday

Beck (knee) played during Saturday's 28-3 preseason loss to the Dolphins. He did not catch his lone target. Beck, who hurt his knee during the first preseason game, was on the field for the team's second game Saturday. He was part of a goal-line package on the Texans' first drive and was targeted in the red zone, although quarterback C.J. Stroud was under immediate pressure, and it's uncertain if Beck was the primary read on the play. Both Beck and tight end Dalton Keene lined up as a blocking back on separate plays for Dameon Pierce at the goal line.

The Texans will sign Beck to a two-year contract this week, Aaron Wilson of KPCR 2 Houston reports. Beck popped up with an elbow injury Wednesday, leaving him limited for the first two practices during Week 18 prep. However, the fourth-year pro is still set to play and retain his role as a core special-teamer and lead blocker in the running game.

Beck (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Beck has missed each of Denver's last two games but practiced in limited fashion throughout the week. His offensive role has shrunk in recent weeks, and he has only three catches across nine contests on the campaign.

  • Broncos' Andrew Beck: Questionable for Week 12

Beck (hamstring) is considered questionable to play Sunday against the Panthers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Beck has been considered day-to-day after missing Denver's last two games with a hamstring injury. While Broncos coach Nathanial Hackett previously said that he is hopeful the 26-year-old will be able to return Week 12, the tight end remained limited during each practice leading up to Sunday's contest versus Carolina. Beck caught three of his six targets over the first eight weeks of the season, and his biggest impact will likely come on special teams moving forward.
