  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Grabs four balls in win

Goedert had four receptions (on five targets) for 31 yards in Friday's 34-29 win over the Packers. Goedert was dealing with an oblique injury late in the preseason schedule, but he did not appear on the Eagles' injury report leading up to Friday's tilt in Brazil. The athletic tight end did not appear limited on the field, catching 80 percent of his opportunities. Fantasy managers will be hoping for more production from Goedert in Philadelphia's next matchup against Atlanta on Monday, Sept. 16.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: TEs to Start

I'm excited to see how Goedert does in Kellen Moore's offense, and this should be a good matchup for him against Green Bay in Brazil. The Packers were No. 7 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends last year, and Green Bay was abused in the playoffs by Jake Ferguson (10 catches for 93 yards and three touchdowns on 12 targets) and George Kittle (four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown on seven targets). Goedert should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Sidesteps injury report

Goedert (oblique) doesn't appear on the Eagles' Week 1 injury report. Goedert missed some practice time over the final two weeks of August, but he returned to the field Sunday. The Eagles didn't include him on their initial Week 1 injury report Tuesday, so Goedert is presumably practicing without restriction in advance of Friday's season opener versus the Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Goedert should dominate the snaps at tight end Friday and should see a healthy amount of involvement in the passing game as a secondary target for quarterback Jalen Hurts behind wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Returns to practice Sunday

Goedert (oblique) is suited up for practice Sunday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Goedert missed most of the past two weeks of practice due to an oblique injury, which cast some doubt about his readiness to suit up for Philadelphia's regular-season opener in Brazil against the Packers on Friday. However, his return to the field Sunday provides optimism that he'll be able to suit up Week 1. It remains to be seen if Goedert will have a designation on the Eagles' first injury report.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Still not practicing

Goedert (oblique) is not practicing Thursday, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports. Goedert has missed just over a week of practices with an oblique injury, leaving him just eight days to get healthy ahead of Philadelphia's regular-season opener against the Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Sept. 6. The Eagles are likely taking a cautious approach to the starting tight end's health, given his integral role on offense, but his status will be worth closely monitoring when the team's first official practice reports of the regular season are released next week. Grant Calcaterra is the only other health tight end on the team's 53-man roster Thursday, but more additions are likely on the way.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Bothered by oblique

Goedert missed Wednesday's practice with an oblique injury, Bob Brookover of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. Goedert missed three games in November and December of last season due to a forearm fracture, but the oblique injury is the first known health concern that the tight end has tended to ever since. He's missed multiple games four seasons in a row, but never more than five in any one season. Goedert will have 16 days to recover from the oblique injury before the Eagles open their season with a matchup with the Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Sept. 6.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: No action in second preseason game

Goedert did not play in Friday's 14-13 preseason win over the Patriots. Goedert has been a full participant at training camp, but Philadelphia's first-team offense hasn't yet been called up for preseason action. The starting tight end is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he suited up for 14 regular-season games and put together a 59-592-3 receiving line. He's situated to again work as one of the Eagles' key skill-position starters, along with wideouts A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and new running Saquon Barkley.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Catches only TD for PHI

Goedert finished with four receptions (on six targets) for 21 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 32-9 playoff loss to the Buccaneers. Goedert caught the only touchdown pass Jalen Hurts would throw against the Buccaneers in what turned out to be a dud of a game from the Eagles. The tight end generated some fantasy value for DFS players with his postseason score, putting a nice garnish on an otherwise bland fantasy regular-season campaign (59-592-3). Goedert will look to expand on his new career high of 59 receptions in the final year of his current contract with the Eagles in the upcoming 2024 season.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Minor role in Week 18

Goedert caught one pass for four yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Goedert needed only one catch to set a new career high in receptions (59), and one catch is all he got. While he'll end the year with a personal best in that category, his 592 yards represent his lowest mark since his rookie season, while his three touchdowns tied a career low. He also missed three games this season, bringing his total to 14 games missed over the last four years.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: TEs to Start

Goedert will be my No. 1 ranked tight end this week if DeVonta Smith (ankle) is out. Goedert has come alive in the past two games with 12 catches for 118 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets, and he scored at least 14.1 PPR points in each outing, including Week 16 against the Giants. Even if Smith plays I would still start Goedert in all leagues, and the Giants have allowed four tight ends to score at least 10.4 PPR points in their past four games.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Ties career mark in receptions

Goedert had five receptions on six targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-31 loss to Cardinals. Goedert's five catches brought him up to 58 on the year, tying his previous personal best set back in 2019. The 28-year-old also caught one of Jalen Hurts' three touchdown passes Sunday, giving the tight end three receiving scores through 13 active games. Goedert's 2023 season will stand alone as his highest reception total if he can simply secure one catch in the regular-season finale against the Giants in Week 18.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Team-high seven grabs Monday

Goedert caught seven of nine targets for 71 yards in Monday's 33-25 win over the Giants. The seven catches led the Eagles on the day as Goedert put together his best performance in three games since returning from a forearm injury. The tight end is only six receptions from setting a new career high of 59, a mark he could reach Week 17 against the Cardinals.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

In two games back following his three-game absence with a forearm injury, Goedert only has eight catches for 60 yards on 13 targets against Dallas and Seattle. We'll see how he does in Week 16 against the Giants, but this is actually a tough matchup. The Giants are No. 5 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and Goedert doesn't have a great history in this matchup. In his past five games against the Giants, Goedert has 17 catches for 172 yards and no touchdowns, and he's averaging just 6.8 PPR points over that span. Goedert is only worth starting in deeper leagues.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Inefficient with nine targets

Goedert secured four of nine targets for 30 yards in the Eagles' 20-17 loss to the Seahawks on Monday night. Goedert finished with the second-most targets on the night for the Eagles yet did little with them, leading to his second straight 4-30-0 line. The veteran tight end's target total tied a season high, but Goedert has now been at 50 receiving yards or less in four straight contests heading into a Week 16 home matchup against the Giants on Christmas Day.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Quiet in Week 14 return

Goedert (forearm) brought in all four targets for 30 yards in the Eagles' 33-13 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday night. Goedert's return from a three-game absence was a relatively quiet one on a night when Jalen Hurts threw for just 197 yards. The talented tight end finished a distant third in receiving yards and targets behind the starting wideout duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but he should have a chance to boost his production back up in a more palatable Week 15 matchup on the road against the Seahawks on Monday night, Dec, 18.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Unlikely to play

Goedert (forearm) will not play in Week 13 against the Niners, Jay Glazer reported on Fox NFL Sunday. We'll await for the official word 90 minutes before kickoff from the Eagles, but this should come as no surprise, with Goedert being listed as doubtful coming in.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Status in doubt for Sunday

Goedert (forearm) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest versus the 49ers. Goedert has made a strikingly fast recovery from a broken right forearm that he suffered Week 9 and required a subsequent surgery. After he was seen catching passes on the side Thursday, he proceeded to mix into drills Friday for the first time since sustaining the injury. Goedert was deemed a limited participant in his return to practice, but his designation of doubtful doesn't give him much of a chance to be available this weekend. Having said that, he told Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer earlier Friday that he'll meet with team doctors, coaches and trainers to see where the tight end stands, and ultimately a decision on his status will be made by the Eagles. If Goedert is inactive Sunday, Jack Stoll will continue to handle most of the TE reps for Philly.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Returns to practice

Goedert (forearm) returned to practice Friday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. This marks Goedert's first participation of any kind since suffering a forearm fracture in the Week 9 win over Dallas. It remains to be seen if he's a full or limited participant and whether the Eagles give him a real chance to play Sunday against the 49ers.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Remains sidelined at practice

Goedert (forearm) was held out of practice Thursday. Somewhat encouragingly, Goedert was spotted catching passes on the side during Thursday's session, per Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. However, Goedert continues to sit out actual drills just three days out from Sunday's huge matchup with the 49ers. According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Goedert intended to push toward returning to action this weekend from the broken forearm that he suffered Week 9, but his lack of on-field activity so far seemingly puts him on the outside looking in. Friday's injury report may reveal Goedert's fate for Week 13 action.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Not practicing yet

Goedert (forearm) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report. Goedert has yet to practice since breaking his right forearm Week 9 and subsequently undergoing surgery to address the issue. Because of the Eagles' Week 10 bye, he's missed only two games as a result of the injury, and recent rumblings out of Philadelphia have suggested that Goedert is making an attempt to be available Sunday against the 49ers, per James Palmer of NFL Network. With one chance gone to mix into drills this week, Goedert likely will need to get back on the field Thursday and/or Friday to give himself a chance to return to action Week 13.
