• Brett Toth: Gets released with injury settlement

  The 49ers released Toth (concussion) from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Toth went to San Francisco's injured reserve list prior to Week 1 after missing most of training camp because of a concussion, and now he'll hit the free-agent market. Once he's ready to suit back up, he'll be eligible to sign with any team who might need his services and play right away.

• 49ers' Brett Toth: Placed on season-ending IR

  The 49ers placed Toth (concussion) on injured reserve Sunday. Toth missed most of training camp due to a concussion, an issue which prevented him from playing in the Eagles' wild-card loss to the 49ers in January. Because there was no designation to return attached to his placement on IR, Toth will be required to miss the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the 49ers.
