  • Jets' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Headed to Jets

The Dolphins are slated to trade Fitzpatrick to the Jets in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. In 14 regular-season games with Miami last season, Fitzpatrick recorded 82 tackles (59 solo) and one interception. The addition of Fitzpatrick will bolster the Jets secondary ahead of the 2026 campaign, with the acquisition of the 29-year-old safety coming at an affordable cost to the franchise in terms of draft capital. Meanwhile, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus, Fitzpatrick is set to ink a three-year, $40 million deal with his new team in the wake of the trade.

  • Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Miami listening to offers

Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, new Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan said everything is on the table with Fitzpatrick (calf), and Miami is listening to trade offers for the safety, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Fitzpatrick has one year remaining on his contract and carries a base salary of $15.6 million to go with an $18.849 million cap number. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense for a rebuilding Dolphins team. The 29-year-old safety started all 14 regular-season games in which he appeared last season, recording 82 tackles (59 solo) including his first career sack, six pass breakups with just one interception, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. That qualified as a down season for Fitzpatrick, who made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2022-24 with the Steelers.

  • Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Sidelined for Wednesday's practice

Fitzpatrick (calf) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Fitzpatrick has been sidelined for each of the Dolphins' last two games due to a calf injury he sustained against the Steelers in Week 15. He hasn't been able to practice since the injury, and he would likely have to log at least a limited session over the next two days to have a realistic chance of playing against the Patriots in Sunday's regular-season finale.

  • Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Out for Week 17

Fitzpatrick (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's battle against the Buccaneers, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. It'll be the second consecutive game on the shelf for Fitzpatrick, who hurt his calf Week 15 against Pittsburgh. He'll have one more chance to play this season -- Week 18 against New England. With Fitzpatrick out this weekend, Ifeatu Melifonwu is likely set for a second straight start.

  • Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Week-to-week with calf issue

Coach Mike McDaniel said Fitzpatrick's (calf) injury should be filed in the week-to-week category, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. Fitzpatrick exited Monday night's contest with a calf issue in the fourth quarter. After more tests on the issue, Fitzpatrick may be able to return for more regular-season football. The Dolphins have been eliminated from playoff contention. Still, with a chance to play spoiler for the Patriots' AFC East title hopes, Fitzpatrick could be back in action for Week 18, or maybe even sooner for Week 17 against the Buccaneers.

  • Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Set for more tests on calf

Miami coach Mike McDaniel said after the team's loss to Pittsburgh on Monday that Fitzpatrick (calf) will undergo additional tests on his calf, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports. Fitzpatrick exited with a calf issue in the fourth quarter and didn't end up returning to the game. The results of the upcoming tests should provide some clarity about how serious the injury is. The Dolphins were eliminated from playoff contention with their loss Monday, so the team probably isn't going to rush Fitzpatrick back into action if the issue is more than minor.

Fitzpatrick (finger) was estimated as a full participant on Monday's practice report, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Barring any setbacks over the next two days, the veteran safety should be cleared to play against the Ravens on Thursday. Fitzpatrick recorded four tackles (three solo) during Sunday's 31-6 loss at Cleveland.
