Dane Cruikshank: Welcomed to Atlanta
Cruikshank signed a contract with the Falcons on Saturday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Cruikshank had a tryout in Atlanta and signed with the team less than one day later. He was primarily a practice squad member for the Titans in 2023, but he did suit up for two games. The 29-year-old will now spend the offseason competing for a depth role in the Falcons' secondary.

Jets' Dane Cruikshank: Headed to AFC East
Cruikshank signed with the Jets on Thursday.
Cruikshank, who is presumably past the hamstring issue that slowed him at the end of the 2022 season, has been a steady special teams contributor across five years in the NFL while playing with the Titans and Bears. He won't have much of a role on defense, but he could make the roster based on his kick coverage skills.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Ticketed for free agency
Cruikshank ended the season with one tackle over eight games played.
Cruikshank (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve after Week 12, but he had played just a single snap on defense while serving primarily as a special teamer. He'll look to find a depth role now as an unrestricted free agent.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Moves to IR
Cruikshank (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Cruikshank missed Week 11 due to his hamstring injury, but he returned for the Bears' Week 12 loss to the Jets in a limited role. Although he avoided Wednesday's injury report, Cruikshank will now be sidelined the next four games, at minimum, with his first opportunity to return coming in the regular-season finale against the Vikings.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Not listed on injury report
Cruikshank isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers.
Cruikshank was sidelined for Week 11 due to a hamstring injury but was cleared for Week 12, though he saw only six snaps (one offensive) before being deemed doubtful to return after presumably aggravating the hamstring issue. Regardless, the 2018 fifth-round pick appears to have avoided a serious setback and should be good to go for Sunday's matchup against Green Bay.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Unlikely to return Sunday
Cruikshank (hamstring) is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Jets, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Cruikshank missed last week's loss to the Falcons before returning to practice in full this week, so it's unclear if he aggravated this issue at some point during the first half against the Jets. The 27-year-old has recorded one tackle while exclusively playing on special teams so far this year.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Getting healthy
Cruikshank (hamstring) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's practice report.
Cruikshank sat out Week 11 against the Falcons, but he's now been listed as a full participant for back-to-back practices. The fifth-year safety should be good to go Sunday against the Jets.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Unavailable for Week 11
Cruikshank (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 11 against the Falcons.
Cruikshank will miss his fourth game of the year as he has been battling a hamstring issue on and off all season. The safety has played exclusively on special teams this season, so his absence won't have an impact on the Bears' defensive unit.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Recovered from injury
Cruikshank (hamstring) was a full participant in the Bears' estimated practice report Monday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Cruikshank has missed the team's previous three contests, having not suited up since Week 2 against the Packers. His return Thursday against the Commanders should bolster the depth of the team's secondary and special-teams unit.

Bears' Dane Cruikshank: Sidelined against Minnesota
Cruikshank (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Vikings.
Cruikshank will miss his third consecutive game due to a hamstring injury he suffered Week 2. His absence likely won't affect Chicago's defense as he's played exclusively on special teams in his two games this season and did not record any stats.
