Trevon Wesco: Cut from practice squad
Wesco was released from the Raiders' practice squad Tuesday,
Wesco received an opportunity with Las Vegas on Oct. 22 via its practice unit, but his stay in Sin City will last just short of one month. The journeyman tight end played three seasons with the Jets after being drafted in 2019 before suiting up for the Bears and Titans the last two years. He will now look for a new landing spot and a chance to make his 2024 season debut elsewhere.

Trevon Wesco: Catches on with Las Vegas
The Raiders signed Wesco to the practice squad Tuesday.
Wesco has been without a team all year, but he has a chance to see game-day action with the Raiders after Harrison Bryant suffered an elbow injury during Sunday's game against the Rams. Wesco mostly served in a blocking role with the Titans in 2023, and he finished the year with one catch for 21 yards across 15 regular-season games.

Titans' Trevon Wesco: Returns to full practice Thursday
Wesco (shin) logged a full practice session Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Wesco missed Sunday's loss to Seattle due to a shin injury, and he was a limited participant in the first practice session of Week 17 prep Wednesday. However, the tight end was able to log a full practice session Thursday, putting him on track to suit up in Houston on Sunday. Even if that plays out, Wesco's role as a blocking specialist gives him very limited appeal in fantasy -- he's logged just one catch on three targets over 392 offensive snaps on the season.

Wesco played 25 of 71 snaps on offense and went without a target in Monday's 28-27 win over the Dolphins.
Wesco techically drew the start Sunday since he was on the field for the Titans' first offensive play, but he still finished a distant second to Chigoziem Okonkwo (48 snaps) in playing time among Tennessee tight ends. The 28-year-old could fall to third in the pecking order at tight end if Josh Whyle (knee) is able to make it back for Sunday's game against the Texans.

Wesco went without a target across 24 snaps on offense Sunday in the Titans' 24-16 loss to the Ravens in London.
Chigoziem Okonkwo remains the Titans' top tight end, but Wesco has ranked second in snap share among the position group in each of the team's six games. Wesco has drawn just two targets all season and will continue to function mostly as a blocker whenever he's on the field.

Titans' Trevon Wesco: Fails to corral lone target
Wesco played 40 snaps on offense but drew just one catchless target in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Chargers.
Though his 63 percent offensive snap share wasn't far behind that of starting tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo (71 percent), Wesco remained relegated to a blocking role, which has been par for the course since he entered the NFL in 2019. Wesco has ran just six routes on his 63 offensive snaps through the first two weeks of the season.

Titans' Trevon Wesco: Signing with Titans
The Titans have signed Wesco to a one-year deal, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
During the 2022 season, Wesco logged two catches for 26 yards in 14 games with the Bears. Now that he's with the Titans, the 2019 fourth-rounder will add depth to the team's tight end corps, which is currently led by Chigoziem Okonkwo. Given that Wesco has just eight catches over 54 career NFL games, the 27-year-old is off the fantasy radar.

Bears' Trevon Wesco: Slated for free agency
Wesco didn't handle an offensive touch in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season with two receptions for 26 yards over 14 games played.
Wesco averaged about 15 snaps per game, but he was targeted four times all year. Primarily a blocker, he has eight receptions over his four-year career, and he hasn't had more than three catches in any season. He's now an unrestricted free agent.
