Brown was one of the few bright spots in an Eagles offense that otherwise looked stagnant again. He accounted for both of the team's touchdowns with scores from 33 and four yards away, marking his second consecutive game reaching the end zone. Brown chipped in four additional receptions of at least 15 yards to top the century mark for the second straight matchup. While it's still been a disappointing season overall from Brown, he appears to have overtaken DeVonta Smith as Jalen Hurts' favorite target for the time being.

Brown saw DeVonta Smith put together a spectacular 9-183-1 line on 11 targets to pace Philadelphia's air attack, but the former contributed on a markedly more efficient basis by recording grabs of 37, 26, 13 and 45 yards. The first two of those receptions went for touchdowns in the first and fourth quarter, respectively, while the final one came on third down with less than two minutes remaining and allowed the Eagles to run out the clock. Brown has between six and 10 targets over his last six games, and he's come alive in the last pair of contests with a 10-201-2 line in that span. The Eagles had taken to the air sparingly in the first two weeks of this season, and Brown entered the game with 35 total yards from scrimmage. However, Philadelphia fell behind early against the Rams, and Jalen Hurts had to attempt 32 passes in a comeback effort, allowing Brown to get more opportunity. He turned that into several highlight-worthy plays, including a 38-yard catch deep down the right sideline early in the third quarter and a nine-yard touchdown catch one possession later. It's no surprise that Brown was productive when given the chance, and the Eagles could be pushed once again in a Week 4 matchup against the Bucs.

This was certainly an improvement over last week's one-catch showing, but the end result was still poor from a fantasy perspective. DeVonta Smith (4-53-0) finished as the Eagles' leading receiver with Brown leading the team in targets (eight) and receptions (five). Philadelphia's run-heavy offense to kick off the 2025 season is the main culprit for the entire receiving corps posting paltry totals through two games. Perhaps Brown and the rest of the Eagles' aerial attack will finally take off in what could be a high-scoring affair against the Rams next Sunday.

Brown's near shutout was alarming considering his typical importance to the Eagles' air attack, but both passing games were relatively subdued in the opener. While Brown garnered plenty of defensive attention, Dallas Goedert and Jahan Dotson appeared to be the biggest beneficiaries, and Brown finally got on the board with a timely eight-yard grab with 1:51 remaining to set up a game-sealing Jalen Hurts four-yard scramble. Needless to say, stat lines like Thursday's should be few and far between for Brown this season, and he's a virtual lock to be exponentially more involved a Week 2 road Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 14.
