    Nixon announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, Kayla Gregoire of NESN.com reports. Nixon, a 2021 seventh-round pick of the Patriots, did not suit up for any regular-season games during his time with the team. The former Central Florida standout spent much of his time in New England on the practice squad, and he will now move on to endeavors off the NFL field.
