Oladokun completed 13 of 22 passes for 66 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while adding two rushes for 11 yards in the Chiefs' 20-13 loss to the Broncos on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered.
The journeyman signal-caller didn't have a bright outlook coming into Thursday's game given the matchup and his inexperience, but even in that context. Oladokun's microscopic passing yardage total was jarring. However, he was sacked just once and didn't turn the ball over, and he connected with Brashard Smith from five yards out for his first NFL touchdown pass. Oladokun figures to be under center again in a Week 18 road matchup against the Raiders to close out the season.

Oladokun completed 11 of 16 passes for 111 yards in Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Titans. He added seven rushing yards on two carries.
A seventh-round pick of the Steelers back in 2022, Oladukon made his NFL debut last season with Kansas City in Week 18 but didn't attempt a pass. Signed off the practice squad this week to replace Patrick Mahomes (knee) on the roster and back up Gardner Minshew, Oladokun instead found himself running the offense when Minshew went down with a knee injury of his own. The South Dakota State product played relatively well all things considered, even if he failed to produce a TD drive. With Minshew feared to have suffered a torn ACL, Oladokun looks set to start the final two games of the season, but he'll face a much tougher test in Week 17 against the Broncos. Look for Kansas City to sign a veteran backup this week, as the team has no other healthy QBs in the organization after Oladokun.

After failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the end of training camp, Oladokun was invited back by Kansas City in mid-October to join the practice squad. He was elevated for Week 18 against the Broncos to serve as the backup quarterback behind Carson Wentz while Patrick Mahomes rested. The Steelers found their quarterback of the future in the first round with Kenny Pickett, but they're hoping to develop Oladokun -- who spent time at South Florida and Samford before settling in at South Dakota State as a sixth-year senior -- into a suitable backup. Oladokun maneuvers well in and out of the pocket, and he possesses a quick release that helps when he's throwing off base or in the face of pressure. He finished with 3,164 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions at SDSU, adding 73 carries for 166 yards and two scores on the ground.
