  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Not suiting up for AFC Championship

Franklin (hamstring) is inactive Sunday for the Broncos' AFC Championship Game against the Patriots, Aric DiLalla of Denver's official site reports. Franklin was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was deemed questionable heading into Sunday, but the wideout will ultimately be forced to the sideline for the first time all season while he recovers from the hamstring injury he sustained in the divisional-round win over the Bills. With Franklin sitting out, the Broncos should have more reps open at receiver for Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims and Lil'Jordan Humphrey behind No. 1 wideout Courtland Sutton.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Questionable to face New England

Franklin (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Patriots. Franklin, who was limited to 13 snaps in this past Saturday's divisional-round win over the Bills, was able to practice in a limited fashion this week, but his status for the AFC Championship Game won't be confirmed until the Broncos' inactives are posted ahead of the team's 3:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If Franklin ends up limited or out this weekend, added WR snaps alongside Courtland Sutton would be available for Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims and Lil'Jordan Humphrey.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Stays limited Thursday

Franklin (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Franklin maintained his activity level from Wednesday, while fellow WR Pat Bryant (concussion) upgraded from limited to full. Both players made early departures from this past Saturday's divisional-round win against the Bills, but Franklin himself has just one more chance to prove his health before Denver potentially tags him with a designation ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game versus the Patriots.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Limited Wednesday

Franklin (hamstring) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Both Franklin and fellow WR Pat Bryant (concussion) made early departures from this past Saturday's divisional-round win against the Bills, but both players were able to handle some drills to begin prep for the AFC Championship Game. Franklin will have two more chances to prove the health of his hamstring this week before the Broncos potentially tag him with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Patriots.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Won't return Saturday

Franklin (hamstring) won't return to Saturday's divisional-round game against the Bills, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. The Broncos now have lost two wide receivers to injury in their playoff opener, the other being Pat Bryant (concussion). Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims and Lil'Jordan Humphrey are the available options at the position for Denver for the rest of Saturday's contest.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Exits game with hamstring injury

Franklin (hamstring) is questionable to return to Saturday's AFC divisional-round game against the Bills, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Franklin appeared to tweak his hamstring in the second quarter and is being evaluated by medical staff in the locker room to determine whether he can return. The Broncos are already without Pat Bryant (concussion) for the rest of Saturday's game, so Denver would be down to Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims and Lil'Jordan Humphrey at wide receiver if Franklin is unable to return.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Blanked in Week 18 win

Franklin failed to catch his only target in the Broncos' win over the Chargers on Sunday. Bo Nix completed 14 of 23 passes for 141 scoreless yards in the victory, but only one of his throws went to Franklin, whose playing time has been dialed back over the past month-plus. Pat Bryant has been seeing more action alongside Courtland Sutton. Franklin will be a boom-or-bust fantasy bet in the divisional round following Denver's first-round bye.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Limited to short receptions

Franklin recorded four receptions on four targets for 17 yards in Thursday's 20-13 win over the Chiefs. With the exception of Courtland Sutton, the Broncos spread targets evenly amongst their pass catchers. Franklin was among four wide receivers or tight ends to earn at least four targets, and he finished sixth on the team in yardage. His longest gain went for only six yards, though that was a reflection of Denver's conservative passing game plan. Franklin has under 25 receiving yards in three of his last five games, and this outcome was particularly disappointing given the absence of Pat Bryant (concussion).

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Nabs long catch

Franklin recorded four receptions on five targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Jaguars. Franklin retained a solid role in the Denver offense despite the return of Pat Bryant from a hamstring injury, with the former tying for third on the team in targets. He produced little for much of the game, though he ended with a solid yardage total thanks to a long 48-yard grab early in the fourth quarter. Franklin has re-emerged in the Broncos' offense, recording 10 catches for 151 yards combined across the last two games. He should continue to see added opportunity if Bryant, who suffered a head injury in the game, is forced to miss Denver's Week 17 matchup Thursday.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Returns to prominent role

Franklin recorded six receptions on six targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Packers. Franklin had been phased out of the Denver offense in the last two games, combining to earn only seven targets. However, he reemerged due to Pat Bryant (hamstring) being sidelined, finishing second on the team in yards, receptions and targets. Franklin had a trio of catches that went for at least 15 yards, the most important of which was a 23-yard touchdown grab to end the third quarter. He made the case to remain a key part of Denver's offense moving forward, though his role is uncertain heading into a Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars -- particularly if Bryant can return to the field.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: WRs to Sit

Franklin is struggling coming into Week 15 against the Packers, and he's a questionable Fantasy option even in three-receiver leagues. In his past two outings against Washington and Las Vegas, which are favorable matchups, Franklin has combined for just five catches for 33 yards and no touchdowns on seven targets. He's losing playing time to Pat Bryant, and Franklin still has to contend with Courtland Sutton as well. Prior to Week 13, Franklin had scored at least 12.4 PPR points in four of his previous five games, so he could bounce back at any time. But the Packers have only allowed seven receivers to score more than 12 PPR points this season and just one in their past four games. Sutton is worth trusting as a low-end No. 2 Fantasy option, but Franklin will likely have another down game in Week 15.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Remains muted in Week 14

Franklin was held to three receptions on four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Raiders. Franklin continued starting opposite Courtland Sutton (6-62-0), but the former appears to have fallen out of favor after finishing in a tie with Pat Bryant (4-32-0) for third in team targets. The 22-year-old Franklin is averaging 2.5 receptions and 11.0 yards in the two games coming out of Denver's Week 12 bye. Franklin's volatility on a week-to-week basis makes the wideout hard to trust outside of deeper fantasy formats against the Packers next Sunday.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Cools off on SNF

Franklin had two receptions on three targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 27-26 overtime win over the Commanders. Franklin cooled off considerably after seemingly taking over the No. 1 WR role for the Broncos in recent weeks. Courtland Sutton reclaimed that honor with a clean 5-62-1 receiving line that dwarfed Franklin's production on the national stage. The latter is still producing a strong sophomore campaign with 48 receptions for 530 yards and five touchdowns across 12 contests, but it hasn't been a smooth ride getting there. Franklin has been held under 40 receiving yards in half of his appearances this season, making him a volatile starting option with plenty of upside against the Raiders in Week 14.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Gets into end zone Thursday

Franklin brought in five of nine targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos' 10-7 win over the Raiders on Thursday night. Franklin was the only Broncos player to get into the end zone Thursday, making a tough seven-yard touchdown grab late in the first half. The second-year wideout also led Denver in receptions and targets, and his recent ascension in the passing offense has been impossible to ignore -- Franklin has 37 targets over the last four games alone. The Oregon product should be busy again in Week 11, as the Chiefs pay the Broncos a visit on Sunday, Nov. 16 for a critical divisional showdown.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Does little with big target volume

Franklin caught four of 10 targets for 27 yards and lost four rushing yards on two carries in Sunday's 18-15 win over the Texans. He added a two-point conversion. The second-year wideout was Bo Nix's top option on the day in terms of targets, but Franklin had trouble getting open against a stingy Houston secondary. It's the second time in the last three weeks Franklin's gotten double-digit looks from his college teammate Nix, and on the season he's put together a 37-385-4 line on 64 targets, making him more of a 1B alongside Courtland Sutton than the Broncos' No. 2 receiver. Franklin should find more room to operate in Week 10 against the Raiders.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Sleeper WRs

There's a great opportunity for Franklin and Mims to both play well in Week 8 against the Cowboys, who are No. 2 in most Fantasy points to opposing receivers. It's a boost for Courtland Sutton as well, and Chicago had three receivers each score at least 12.8 PPR points against Dallas in Week 3. For the season, nine receivers have scored at least 11.3 PPR points against the Cowboys.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Week 9 Adds (WR Preview)

Franklin has seen 18 targets and scored three touchdowns in his last two games. He's still just 22 years old and has a great rapport with former college teammate Bo Nix. This is a tough matchup against the Texans, so he's no more than a number three wide receiver, but a talented receiver this young needs to be rostered after a breakout like this.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Franklin was awesome in Week 8 against Dallas with six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets, and he now has 18 targets and three touchdowns in his past two outings against the Cowboys and Giants. Marvin Mims (concussion) could miss Week 9 at Houston, which won't be an easy matchup, but Franklin should be added in all leagues where available for up to 10 percent of your remaining FAB. After facing the Texans, Franklin could be a must-start receiver in Week 10 against Las Vegas, especially if Mims remains out.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Week 7 Waiver Priority List

Franklin was awesome in Week 8 against Dallas with six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets, and he now has 18 targets and three touchdowns in his past two outings against the Cowboys and Giants. Marvin Mims (concussion) could miss Week 9 at Houston, which won't be an easy matchup, but Franklin should be added in all leagues where available for up to 10 percent of your remaining FAB. After facing the Texans, Franklin could be a must-start receiver in Week 10 against Las Vegas, especially if Mims remains out.

  • Broncos' Troy Franklin: Hits paydirt against Giants

Franklin caught three of 10 targets for 19 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 33-32 win over the Giants. Franklin finished the contest tied for the team lead in targets with fellow wideout Courtland Sutton, with the 10 targets being a season high for the 22-year-old. Despite the increased involvement, Franklin struggled to connect with quarterback Bo Nix, and his touchdown early in the fourth quarter was actually a tipped pass intended for Sutton that Franklin was able secure in the back of the end zone. The Oregon product has been mostly underwhelming as a fantasy option for the past month, but his role as Denver's No. 2 wide receiver has earned him 46 targets through seven games. As long as he continues to see that kind of volume, Franklin will at least be a viable option for fantasy managers dealing with bye weeks. Next up for the Broncos is a home matchup against the Cowboys and their struggling pass defense.
