Clifford was cut by the Colts earlier in the month, but he's already getting another shot with a new team less than two weeks later. In a corresponding transaction, the Chargers waived wide receiver Luke Grimm (undisclosed) with an injury designation.

The Colts waived Clifford on Sunday.
Clifford signed with the team in late July. The wide receiver participated in all training camp activities, but the team has decided to go in another direction as it searches for additional depth at the position. Receiver D.J. Montgomery was signed in a corresponding move.
