Houston is signing Gronowski to its practice squad, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Gronowski initially signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in May. He was cut in mid-August, then re-signed, then cut again all within the same month. Gronowski ultimately signed with the Dolphins' practice squad, but he was cut once more last Tuesday. He'll now get a chance to impress as part of the Texans' practice squad, though the organization is relatively set at QB on the active roster with C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills.

Mark Gronowski: Cut from practice squad
Rotowire
The Dolphins cut Gronowski from the practice squad Tuesday.
The Dolphins waived Gronowski during Sunday's cut-down day. The quarterback cleared waivers and signed with the practice squad Monday before ultimately being cut Tuesday. Gronowski's role on the practice squad has now been deemed unnecessary, so the undrafted free agent out of Iowa will need to find work elsewhere.

Mark Gronowski: Waived by Miami
Rotowire
Gronowski was waived by the Dolphins on Sunday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The quarterback will return to Miami as part of the practice squad unless he's claimed by another team, per Garafolo. The move comes after the Dolphins traded a 2028 sixth-round pick to the Packers for Kyle McCord, who will likely serve as the backup to starter Malik Willis in the wake of the departures of Quinn Ewers, who was traded to Jacksonville, and Cam Miller, who was waived. Gronowski signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in May, was waived by the team in early August and then landed back with the club nine days later.

Dolphins' Mark Gronowski: Signs with Miami
Rotowire
The Dolphins signed Gronowski to a contract Sunday.
Gronowski's signing will bolster the Dolphins' quarterback room in the absence of Quinn Ewers (groin). Ewers went down during the team's 20-7 preseason loss to the Commanders on Friday, making Gronowski the current No. 3 quarterback behind Malik Willis and Cam Miller. The undrafted free agent was waived by the Dolphins in early August, so this second stint with the team will likely only last until Ewers regains his health.
