Saints' Torricelli Simpkins: Enters concussion protocol
Simpkins has entered the league's concussion protocol following the Saints' 34-0 loss to the Rams in Saturday's preseason game, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Simpkins will have to make his way through the league's five-step protocol -- with the last step being an evaluation and clearance by an independent neurologist -- in order to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys. Simpkins appeared in 15 regular-season games (two starts) for the Saints as an undrafted rookie last year.
