  • J'Mari Taylor: Signs with Jacksonville's practice squad

    The Jaguars signed Taylor to the practice squad Monday. The Jaguars waived Taylor during Sunday's cutdown day. The running back cleared waivers and was proficient enough during training camp to receive an invitation to the team's practice squad. The undrafted free agent out of Virginia participated in all three preseason games, rushing 38 times for 125 yards and a touchdown.

  • Jaguars' J'Mari Taylor: Officially signs with Jaguars

    The Jaguars signed Taylor as an undrafted free agent Sunday. Taylor's 222 carries with Virginia in 2025 give him extensive experience to bring to the Jaguars' camp. The durable dual-threat running back may be undersized, but he holds onto the ball and plays with great physicality. Now officially a Jaguar, Taylor will compete with the rest of the running back room for potential meaningful snaps in 2026.

  • J'Mari Taylor: Expected to sign with Jacksonville

    The Jaguars are slated to sign Taylor as an undrafted free agent, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com reports. Taylor excelled with Virginia last year, carrying 222 times for 1,062 yards (4.8 YPC) and an ACC-leading 14 rushing touchdowns. He added 43 catches for 253 yards and another score. Prior to last season, Taylor spent three seasons with North Carolina Central, and in his final year with the Eagles he tallied 1,146 yards on 196 carries (5.8 YPC) and 15 touchdowns. He's undersized at 5-foot-9 and 204 pounds but runs with physicality and has good footwork. He fumbled only twice on 577 rushes during his time in college.
