  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Garners 72 total yards, TD in loss

Robinson rushed 16 times for 63 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for nine yards in the Commanders' 26-18 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night. Robinson opened the scoring on a one-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter, his seventh rushing TD of the season. Six of those trips to the end zone have come in the last six contests, and Robinson has managed at least Thursday's rushing yardage total in four of the last five games. Robinson does continue to be the clear lead back when healthy -- Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols combined for only five rush attempts against Philadelphia -- and that pattern should continue in a highly favorable Week 12 home matchup against the Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 24.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Ready to return in Week 11

Robinson (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game at Philadelphia, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports. After missing the last two games due to a lingering hamstring injury, Robinson will be back in action Week 11. His full participation in practice Wednesday indicates that he has a decent chance to retain his position as Washington's primary runner, but Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez all will be on hand for reps, too. In seven contests this season, Robinson is averaging 15.7 touches for 77.1 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring six times on the ground.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Stays limited in walkthrough

Robinson (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough practice. After sitting out the Commanders' last two games with a hamstring injury, Robinson has been listed as limited on the team's first two Week 11 injury reports, both of which were estimates. Earlier Tuesday, head coach Dan Quinn told JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington that the Commanders will hold a higher-intensity practice Wednesday, which should offer a better picture of his likely status for Thursday's game in Philadelphia. If Robinson ends up sitting out a third straight game or is available in only a limited capacity, Austin Ekeler would continue to operate as Washington's lead back after earning double-digit touches each of the past two weeks.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Estimated as limited Monday

Robinson (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate. Robinson didn't practice this past Friday before being ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers. Though the Commanders merely held a walkthrough Monday, Robinson's limited listing suggests that he may have a chance to return to the lineup Thursday night against the Eagles. Look for further context regarding his Week 11 status to arrive no later than Tuesday, when Washington's next injury report is issued. If Robinson remains sidelined versus Philadelphia, Austin Ekeler would be in line for another start at running back, with Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez mixing in.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Ruled out for Week 10

Robinson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports. Robinson ended up inactive as a game-time decision last week and now will miss a second straight game. Austin Ekeler filled in as the starting RB in a 27-22 win over the Giants on Sunday, but Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols got most of the work late in the game while nursing a lead, with Ekeler ultimately taking just four touches after halftime. A tighter game could work more in Ekeler's favor, and he's at least a good bet to dominate backfield snaps on passing downs. Robinson's next chance to play will be Thursday against the Eagles, four days after the matchup with Pittsburgh.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Limited in practice

Robinson (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday. A limited participant all last week, Robinson was listed as questionable on the final injury report and ended up inactive for a 28-23 win over the Giants on Sunday. His absence freed up a larger role for Austin Ekeler, but the Commanders also gave Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez some work, especially late in the game while trying to run out the clock with a lead. Robinson will look to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday to clear up any concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Slated to practice Wednesday

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that Robinson (hamstring) will practice Wednesday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports. The extent of Robinson's participation won't be known until Washington releases its first Week 10 injury report later Wednesday, but Quinn said that the staff is "really going to push it" with the running back in advance of Sunday's game against the Steelers. Despite being listed as questionable coming out of the Commanders' final Week 9 practice last Friday, Robinson had been expected to play against the Giants, but he was a surprise inactive ahead of the team's eventual 27-22 win. Assuming Robinson navigates the upcoming week of practice without any setbacks with his hamstring, he should be ready to step back in as the Commanders' lead runner, while Austin Ekeler returns to a change-of-pace role.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Inactive in Week 9

Robinson (hamstring) is listed as inactive Sunday at the Giants. Robinson was limited during Week 9 prep due to a hamstring injury, entering the weekend as questionable to suit up Sunday. Following a pregame warmup that didn't appear to go well, he's now confirmed to be out for the second time this season. With Robinson unavailable, Austin Ekeler likely will lead the Commanders backfield, with Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez also on hand for RB reps.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Trending toward playing Sunday

Head coach Dan Quinn noted ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants that Robinson (hamstring) -- who listed as questionable -- is "doing great and ready to get rolling with everybody today," Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Per Garafolo, the Commanders are in line to work Robinson out, but at this stage it appears as though the running back is slated to be available versus New York. Either way, official confirmation of Robinson's Week 9 status will arrive when Washington's inactives are posted in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson Jr.: RBs to Start

Robinson faced the Giants in Week 2 and had 17 carries for a career-high 133 yards and one catch for 3 yards on three targets. He loves facing the Giants and has either 100 total yards or a touchdown in five career meetings with New York, and I like him as a No. 2 running back in all leagues in Week 9. A running back has scored at least 13.1 PPR points in all but one game against the Giants this season, including five in a row. Robinson should continue that streak in the rematch in Week 9.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Listed as questionable

Robinson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. Robinson was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, potentially setting up a game-time decision ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday. Austin Ekeler becomes a strong fantasy play if Robinson is inactive, with Jeremy McNichols then stepping in as the No. 2 back and perhaps offering deep-league value.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Listed with hamstring injury

Robinson was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. Robinson dealt with a knee injury the past month, missing one full game and half of another. That injury has apparently cleared up, but now he's listed with a hamstring issue, albeit one that probably isn't serious given his practice participation at the start of the week. Any limitations this Sunday against the Giants would lead to more work for Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Ready to roll in Week 7

Robinson (knee) is active for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Panthers. Robinson missed the Week 6 loss to the Ravens with his knee injury, but after managing a limited practice in each day of Week 7 prep, he's back on the field as expected. As such, Robinson should be back in his customary lead-back role for what has been one of the most inviting matchups for running backs thus far this season, as the Panthers are surrendering 153.5 rushing yards per game.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: On track to play Sunday

Robinson (knee) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Panthers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After not practicing at all last week and missing last Sunday's loss to the Ravens, Robinson got in a round of limited practices this week and seems to be trending in this direction. Robinson should step right back into his role atop the Commanders backfield, handling the bulk of the early-down work while Austin Ekeler mixes in and sees the majority of the passing-down snaps.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Trending in right direction

Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Robinson (knee) is "trending in the right direction" for Sunday's game against Carolina, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. Robinson is on track for a questionable designation, with Quinn saying no decision has been made on the running back's status for Sunday. Robinson returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant and remained limited for Thursday's session. He missed the Week 6 loss at Baltimore, after playing through his knee injury in a Week 5 win over Cleveland.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson Jr.: RBs to Start

Robinson is expected to play in Week 7 against the Panthers after sitting out Week 6 against Baltimore with a knee injury. Carolina has allowed six running backs in the past three games to score at least 14.5 PPR points, and eight running backs have reached that total this season. It makes Austin Ekeler a flex option as well even if Robinson is active, and Robinson has scored at least 13.8 PPR points in four of five games this year. I like Robinson as a borderline No. 1 running back in all leagues in Week 7.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Returning to practice Wednesday

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that Robinson (knee) will take part in practice Wednesday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports. Robinson failed to practice last Wednesday through Friday prior to being ruled out for Washington's loss to the Ravens in Week 6, so practicing in even a limited capacity to kick off Week 7 prep represents a notable step in the right direction. The third-year pro will work to gain clearance in time for Sunday's matchup against the Panthers and rejoin Austin Ekeler atop the Commanders' backfield depth chart.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Downgraded to out

Robinson (knee) was downgraded from questionable to out for Sunday's game Ravens. Robinson failed to practice all week, so the Commanders' decision to downgrade him isn't a major surprise. With Robinson out of the mix, Austin Ekeler will take over as the team's No. 1 back and should see plenty of work as both a pass catcher and runner. Jeremy McNichols should serve as Ekeler's primary backup, while Chris Rodriguez was elevated from the practice squad to provide a third option out of the backfield.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Listed as questionable

Robinson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Baltimore, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Robinson didn't practice at all this week, with coach Dan Quinn saying Friday that the running back will be a game-time decision. Robinson played through the same injury last week, but that was after returning to practice Friday, and he ended up missing the second half after scoring a pair of TDs before halftime in an eventual 34-13 win over Cleveland. His odds of playing appear lower this week, which would mean expanded workloads for Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols if Robinson is deemed inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Headed for game-time decision

Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Robinson will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Ravens, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. The Commanders are giving Robinson a shot to play even though he didn't practice this week. He played through the same injury last week and scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, but he then aggravated his knee and was held out after halftime, leaving Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols in charge of Washington's backfield in a 34-13 win over Cleveland. It'll likely be Ekeler getting the start and McNichols handling a significant role off the bench if Robinson is declared inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday in Baltimore.
