  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Won't play Sunday

Dobbins (foot) won't play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Patriots. Dobbins, who last saw game action in Week 10 when he sustained a foot injury that required surgery, has been able to practice in a limited fashion this week, but he's not quite ready to return to action. In his continued absence, RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie will handle the Broncos' RB duties this weekend. Dobbins' next chance to suit up would occur in the event that Denver advances to Super Bowl LX, which will take place Feb. 8.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Officially limited Wednesday

Dobbins (foot) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. The Broncos designated Dobbins to return from injured reserve Monday, and now that he's back on the practice field, he at least has a chance to play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Patriots. Perhaps Super Bowl LX is a more realistic opportunity for Dobbins to suit up again, assuming the Broncos win this weekend, but his status will continue to be monitored as the week goes on to get a sense of his odds to to return for the first contest. Currently, RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie are the healthy backfield options for Denver.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Has practice window opened

The Broncos designated Dobbins (foot) to return from injured reserve Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Dobbins suffered a foot injury Week 10 against the Raiders that required surgery and a stint on IR, from which he missed the final seven games of the regular season and also Saturday's divisional-round win against the Bills. On Nov. 26, coach Sean Payton told Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post that Dobbins may be able to return later in the campaign, and now that his 21-day practice window has opened, he has a chance to return for either or both of the AFC Championship Game against the Patriots or Super Bowl LX if Denver advances that far. The team will submit its next practice report Wednesday, at which point his base line activity level will become known in advance of the first contest. If Dobbins isn't able to return this weekend, a combination of RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie will continue to man the Broncos backfield.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Practice window to open

The Broncos are expected to designate Dobbins (foot) for return from IR in preparation for the AFC Championship Game against the Patriots on Sunday, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports. Dobbins may not officially take the practice field until Wednesday, but it appears the veteran running back has a legitimate chance to be cleared for a return to action in time for Sunday's playoff matchup. He was spotted working on a side field last Wednesday, which was his first on-field work of any kind since he suffered a left Lisfranc injury Week 10. Of course, Dobbins may have to prove he's capable of handling full practice reps before being cleared to return to the lineup. If Dobbins does manage to get back on the field in time to face New England, he'll rejoin RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie in a rushing attack that figures to be increasingly featured with Bo Nix (ankle) having suffered a season-ending injury in the divisional round, leaving Jarrett Stidham to start this weekend.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Set for stint on IR

The Broncos are slated to place Dobbins on injured reserve, as the running back needs foot surgery that may end his season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Dobbins' 2025 campaign now is in peril due to the hip-drop tackle that he endured during Denver's Week 10 win against the Raiders. The team has yet to make the move to IR official, but if he indeed is out for the rest of the campaign, he'll finish it with 153 carries for 772 yards and four touchdowns and 11 catches (on 14 targets) for 37 yards. RJ Harvey is poised to lead the Broncos backfield for the foreseeable future.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Out Sunday, and possibly longer

Dobbins, who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is believed to be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a significant foot injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per Rapoport, Dobbins is still working through his options, and while there's been no final determination, IR remains a possibility for the running back. In Dobbins' looming absence, 2025 second-rounder RJ Harvey is poised to lead Denver's backfield, with Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin slated to work behind him in complementary roles.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Still not practicing

Dobbins (foot) remained sidelined at practice Friday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Dobbins hasn't practiced this week and is trending toward being ruled out later Friday, per Tomasson. If that ends up being the case, 2025 second-rounder RJ Harvey would be in line to lead Denver's backfield Sunday against the Chiefs, with Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin available to work in complementary roles.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Could land on IR

The Broncos are viewing Dobbins as a potential candidate for injured reserve after he sustained a left foot injury in Thursday's 10-7 win over the Raiders, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Dobbins suffered the injury on an apparent hip-drop tackle in the third quarter, and the team is waiting for a second opinion on it before making any roster decisions. Though the Broncos have a longer turnaround than normal in advance of Sunday's game against Kansas City, Dobbins is at significant risk of being sidelined for the first time all season. Rookie RJ Harvey is the next man up for touches and snaps in the Denver backfield, while Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin would be candidates for increased roles as well.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: RBs to Start

Dobbins comes into Week 10 having scored 9.0 PPR points or less in three of his past four games, and he hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 5. He's due for a big outing, and he should have the chance to play well against the Raiders at home. Three running backs in the past two games against Las Vegas have scored at least 12.4 PPR points with Brashard Smith, Isiah Pacheco and Travis Etienne, and I trust Dobbins as a No. 2 running back in all leagues on Thursday night.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Leading rusher in win

Dobbins carried the ball 15 times for 61 yards and caught his only target for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 18-15 win over the Texans. The veteran back led the Broncos in rushing on the afternoon, but he once again saw rookie RJ Harvey deliver a big play, this time a 27-yard TD reception from Bo Nix early in the fourth quarter that sparked a comeback. Dobbins has gone four straight games without a score of his own, putting a cap on his fantasy value, but he's still produced 695 rushing yards and four touchdowns through his first nine games with Denver. Dobbins should be busy again in Week 10 against the Raiders.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: RBs to Start

Dobbins comes into Week 8 with a combined 13.0 PPR points in his past two games against the Jets and Giants. He hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 5, and he only has seven catches for 22 yards on 10 targets for the season. But he should end his slump this week against the Cowboys, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Five running backs have scored at least 13.9 PPR points against Dallas this year, and Dobbins should add to that total in Week 8. He has top-15 upside in this matchup at home.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: RBs to Start

Dobbins had his first bad game of the season in Week 5 against the Jets in London with four PPR points, but he should get back on track against the other team from New York at home. The Giants have allowed three running backs this season to score at least 14.2 PPR points, including Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Javonte Williams, and Omarion Hampton. Dobbins will likely need a touchdown to help his Fantasy value in this matchup, and the Giants are one of nine teams to allow at least five rushing touchdowns to a running back this year. Dobbins is worth starting as a No. 2 running back in all leagues.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Grinds out solid effort Sunday

Dobbins rushed 20 times for 79 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for five yards in the Broncos' 21-17 win over the Eagles on Sunday. Dobbins remained the clear lead back, with rookie RJ Harvey logging only four carries. The former toughed out a difficult matchup on the ground, with his long run on the afternoon a modest 17 yards. Dobbins recorded his fourth rushing touchdown in five games on a two-yard run early in the fourth quarter, while his yardage total was his third highest of the campaign and fourth over 75 yards already in 2025. Dobbins has played a minimal role in the passing game so far, but his secure role in the ground attack gives him an appealing fantasy floor heading into a favorable Week 6 matchup in London against the Jets next Sunday.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Ends drought for new club

Dobbins rushed 16 times for 101 yards and caught his only target for four yards in Monday's 28-3 win over Cincinnati. Dobbins made Swiss cheese of the Bengals defense Monday, averaging 6.3 yards per carry while helping his team dominate the time of possession battle (+15:56). The bruising back also ended a drought dating back to the 2022 season of Denver failing to produce a 100-yard rusher. The only blemish on the 26-year-old's night was the lack of a touchdown, ending the scoring streak he started the season with at three games. Dobbins will face a stiffer test Week 5 when the Broncos visit the Eagles on Sunday, but fantasy managers should start their hot asset regardless.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Rumbles for 83 yards plus TD

Dobbins carried the ball 11 times for 83 yards and a touchdown while catching one pass for no gain in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Chargers. While his new team couldn't secure the victory, Dobbins was able to have a strong game against his former club. The bruising tailback accrued nearly all of his production on an impressive three-play drive to open the second half, during which he took three consecutive carries for 66 yards all the way to the end zone. Dobbins finished the contest with nine more rushing attempts than backup RJ Harvey, cementing his status as Denver's No. 1 option out of the backfield. The 26-year-old Dobbins will attempt to extend his current scoring streak to four games when the Broncos host the Bengals on Monday Night Football in Week 4.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Sleeper RBs

We'll see how the Broncos plan to use Dobbins in tandem with RJ Harvey, and I hope the rookie gets more touches. I have Harvey as a starter in Start 'Em & Sit 'Em. That said, I would also use Dobbins as a flex since the Broncos are 7.5-point favorites at home. Denver should dominate time of possession in this game, and both running backs could get enough touches to succeed. It will be interesting to see how the game plan works in Week 1, and Dobbins could be more of a factor than expected. He could end up being the Broncos best running back early in the year until Sean Payton fully trusts Harvey for a bigger role.

  • Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Signing one-year deal with Broncos

Dobbins agreed to terms Tuesday on a one-year, $5.25 million contract with Denver, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Dobbins racked up a career-high 1,058 scrimmage yards and nine total touchdowns across 13 regular-season appearances with the Chargers in 2024, and he now joins rookie RJ Harvey atop the depth chart of the Broncos' revamped backfield. An MCL sprain forced Dobbins to miss four games during his one-year stint with Los Angeles, but after missing 2021 due to a multi-ligament knee injury, having the same issue linger into 2022 and requiring surgery, and then suffering a torn Achilles tendon Week 1 of 2023, for Dobbins to average 4.6 YPC and play 13 regular-season games represents one of the most remarkable comeback seasons in recent memory. Both Dobbins and Harvey project as valuable fantasy contributors in coach Sean Payton's offense, which averaged the 10th most points per game (25.0) in the NFL last season and could make a sizable leap with Bo Nix entering Year 2.

  • J.K. Dobbins: Receives UFA tender

The Chargers applied the unrestricted free-agent tender to Dobbins on Tuesday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports. Los Angeles' application of the scarcely used UFA tender means that Dobbins will will count toward the NFL compensatory draft pick formula if he signs with another club prior to July 21 or the first scheduled day of training camp, whichever is the later date. If Dobbins doesn't ink a deal before that deadline, the Chargers will receive exclusive negotiating rights with him. The 26-year-old impressed with a 195-905-9 rushing line across 13 regular-season appearances in 2024, but the Bolts have since invested a first-round pick in rookie Omarion Hampton and signed Najee Harris to a one-year contract.

  • Chargers' J.K. Dobbins: Forgettable playoff start

Dobbins (ankle) took nine carries for 26 yards and failed to bring in his lone target in Saturday's 32-12 playoff loss to the Texans. Dobbins carried a questionable tag into Saturday's wild-card round matchup, but he did not appear limited after leading a dismal rushing attack with nine touches. Veteran backup and longtime teammate Gus Edwards struggled similarly (7-22-0) as the starting duo failed to set the tone against a stout Houston defensive front. The 26-year-old Dobbins is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason after producing a 195-905-9 rushing line in 13 healthy games for Los Angeles in 2024.

  • Chargers' J.K. Dobbins: Questionable for Saturday

Dobbins is listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card round game against the Texans. Dobbins was deemed questionable by the Chargers after being listed as a limited practice participant Tuesday through Thursday. Meanwhile, fellow running back Gus Edwards (ankle) -- who has missed two straight games -- doesn't carry an injury designation after practicing fully Thursday. Look for added context regarding Dobbins' status to arrive closer to Saturday's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he's limited or out versus Houston, then Edwards would be in line to see added work on early downs, with Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal also in the mix. Additionally, the Chargers could elect to elevate either Ezekiel Elliott or Jaret Patterson from their practice squad.
