  • Jamal Agnew: Joins Steelers' practice squad

Pittsburgh signed Agnew to its practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Agnew actually tried out with Pittsburgh back before its regular-season opener, and he's now being brought on board ahead of Week 11. The Steelers already have six healthy wideouts on their active roster, but Agnew's experience as a returner could help his case to be elevated as the second half of the year plays out.

  • Jamal Agnew: Trying out in Pittsburgh

The Steelers tried out Agnew (lower leg) on Monday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports. It appears that Agnew has moved past his season-ending lower leg injury from last year after trying out with the Steelers on Monday. The veteran wide receiver, who received Pro Bowl honors after recording 752 kickoff- and punt-return yards in 2022, is expected to compete for the Steelers' top return-man duties if he's added to their roster.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Cleared to practice

Agnew (shoulder) was designated for return from injured reserve Wednesday. Agnew has spent the minimum of four weeks on IR and could return to action as soon as Sunday against the Ravens. However, the Jaguars will have a 21-day window to evaluate him in practice before he would need to be added to the 53-man roster or left on IR for the remainder of the season.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Lands on IR

Jacksonville placed Agnew (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday. Agnew hurt his shoulder in this past Sunday's loss to San Francisco, and his move to IR means he'll need to sit out at least four games. The veteran wideout has worked as the Jaguars' primary kick and punt returner this season while also tallying nine catches on 12 targets for 90 yards as a receiver. Parker Washington (knee) was activated from IR in a corresponding move and could take Washington's place as both a return man and depth wideout.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Hurts shoulder Sunday

Agnew was forced out of Sunday's game against the 49ers with a shoulder injury. Prior to his exit from the contest, Agnew did not record any catches. With Zay Jones (knee) already out, Tim Jones is a candidate to see added Week 10 snaps alongside fellow WRs Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: No targets in win

Agnew didn't receive a target, returned one kickoff for 27 yards and three punts for 34 yards during Sunday's 20-10 win against the Steelers. The veteran return man had four catches for 36 yards last week but wasn't involved in the passing game Sunday despite the continued absence of Zay Jones (knee). Agnew played just 20 offensive snaps compared to Tim Jones' 25, but neither wideout received a target from quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Four catches in win

Agnew caught four of six targets for 36 yards and rushed once for minus-1 yard during Thursday's 31-24 win over the Saints. He also returned one punt for nine yards. The 28-year-old played 51 percent of Jacksonville's offensive snaps with Zay Jones (knee) inactive and finished third on the team in receptions and receiving yards. Agnew has catches in just three of six games this season, but he has four receptions in two of those three contests.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Set to play in London

Agnew (quadricep) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills in London. The quad injury kept Agnew from playing in the Jaguars' first game in London in Week 4 versus Atlanta, but he'll be back in action Sunday after turning in a trio of limited practices this week. In addition to Agnew, the Jaguars are getting Zay Jones (knee) back from a two-game absence, so the team's receiving corps will have all of its key contributors available Sunday. Agnew will likely serve as Jacksonville's No. 4 wideout and top return man.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Agnew (quadricep) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports. Agnew missed the Week 4 win over the Falcons in London due to the quad injury, but it's encouraging to see him on the practice field heading into another London clash this Sunday, with Jacksonville facing Buffalo in Week 5. According to Mark Long of the Associated Press, head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that he's expecting Agnew to play this weekend, and the receiver's ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday would certainly be a step toward achieving that goal. Zay Jones (knee) was also a limited participant Wednesday after missing the previous two games, so if he's back in action Sunday, Agnew would likely be relegated to the No. 4 receiver role.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Considered game-time call

Coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Agnew (quadriceps) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against Atlanta in London, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports. While the Jaguars want to wait and see how Agnew feels ahead of kickoff, Pederson said he's optimistic the speedster will play. If Agnew is available, he could see increased snaps on offense for a second straight week due to Zay Jones (knee) being ruled out again. Agnew secured four of five targets for 49 yards during last week's loss to the Texans, temporarily putting him on the map as a deep-league option and cheap DFS play ahead of the 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: One catch versus KC

Agnew caught his lone target for five yards and returned two punts for five yards during Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Chiefs. The veteran return man played 24 offensive snaps with Zay Jones leaving the game due a knee issue, but Jones eventually returned while Agnew was unable to take advantage of the absence. Agnew is likely to continue working as the Jags' No. 4 wideout as long as Jones, Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley are available.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Good to go

Agnew (shoulder) is active for Saturday's AFC divisional-round contest against the Chiefs. Agnew has been nusing a shoulder injury for a couple weeks and has been limited at practice as a result. • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Limited to start prep

Agnew (shoulder) was a limited participant during Tuesday's practice. Agnew was deemed active for the wild-card win over the Chargers despite being limited at each practice ahead of the game, so barring a setback, the All-Pro returner should be available for Saturday's divisional-round matchup against Kansas City. However, his official status likely won't be known until later in the week.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Available vs. Chargers

Agnew (shoulder) is active for Saturday's game versus the Chargers, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports. • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Deemed questionable for Saturday

Agnew (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card game against the Chargers. Agnew popped up on Tuesday's injury report with a shoulder injury that kept him limited for all three practices heading into Saturday's matchup. The 27-year-old wideout has had a consistent, albeit limited, role in the Jaguars' passing game this season, recording 23 receptions (on 30 targets) for 187 yards and three touchdowns. The biggest effect of his potential absence would be felt on special teams, as Agnew has served as the primary returner on both kickoffs and punts this season. Should he sit out, then running back JaMycal Hasty and/or top wideout Christian Kirk will likely fill in on special teams.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Dealing with injury

Agnew (shoulder) was a limited participant during the Jaguars' practice Tuesday. Agnew logged exactly one reception for the third game in a row while playing his typical share of snaps during Saturday's win over Tennessee. However, it appears he came away from this contest with a shoulder injury, keeping him limited during Jacksonville's first practice ahead of this Saturday's wild-card matchup versus the Chargers. Agnew has served as the Jaguars' primary returner on special teams this season, and he recorded a season-long 54-yard kick return during the second quarter Week 18. The 27-year-old will have two more opportunities to increase his practice activity heading to the playoffs.

Agnew played just seven offensive snaps Saturday and caught exactly one pass for the third consecutive contest. The 27-year-old has worked as a gadget player in Jacksonville's offense this year and has 23 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns plus 12 carries for 86 yards. He should remain in that role for the playoffs and for 2023, which is the final year of his contract.

Agnew caught all three of his targets for 36 yards, rushed once for eight yards, returned two kickoffs for 42 yards and returned three punts for 20 yards during Sunday's 36-22 win at Tennessee. Agnew played just 11 offensive snaps but was fairly involved when on the field and tied a season high with four touches during the divisional victory. The 27-year-old has 11 receptions for 77 yards and two carries for 11 yards with one touchdown over the last four games, though he's played only 41 total offensive snaps during that stretch.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Involved in short-passing game

Agnew caught three of four targets for four yards, returned two kickoffs for 72 yards and returned one punt for 19 yards during Sunday's 27-17 loss at Kansas City. Agnew received multiple targets for the first time since Week 4, but he was unable to find any room to run on the short receptions. He played only seven offensive snaps and remains a distant No. 4 on the depth chart behind Christian Kirk, Zay Jones and Marvin Jones.

  • Jaguars' Jamal Agnew: Limited Wednesday

Agnew (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Jacksonville's Week 9 tilt against the Raiders.
