  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Sees downturn in playing time

Gray hauled in each of his two targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 16-14 win versus the Broncos. After a promising four-game stretch spanning Week 4 to Week 8 that saw Gray post 13 catches for 158 yards, the fourth-year tight end has posted just two catches total over the past two games. Gray also saw a slight downturn in his playing time, just 39 snaps (57 percent) after he crossed the 60-percent threshold in each of the last three games. Either way, Gray has yet to find pay dirt this season and is the clear No. 2 at tight end, so he's likely nothing more than a deep dynasty stash at this point.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: No catches in win

Gray didn't catch his lone target in Monday's 30-24 overtime win versus the Buccaneers. Gray has performed quite well this season as the No. 2 tight end behind star TE Travis Kelce, as the former has produced 17 receptions for 208 yards through eight games. He needs to find the end zone to have any fantasy appeal.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Season-high snap share in Week 8

Gray hauled in all three of his targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 27-20 victory against the Raiders. Gray continues to see significant work and has posted a combined seven catches for 89 yards over the last two weeks after compiling only 10 catches over the first five games to open the year. He's also seen a spike in playing time as the Chiefs run more two-tight end sets. Gray likely remains off the radar in most redraft formats but could be worth consideration in some dynasty formats as the heir apparent to the lead tight end role when Travis Kelce calls it quits.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

The Chiefs need playmakers in the passing game with JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) now hurt, and Gray stepped up in Week 7 at San Francisco with four catches for 66 yards on four targets. In deeper leagues, Gray could be a low-end starter heading into Week 8 against the Raiders, and he's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Leading receiver on four targets

Gray brought in all four of his targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 28-18 win over the 49ers. Gray finished as the Chiefs' leading receiver in an odd game that featured no passing touchdowns from either side. San Francisco keyed its defensive focus on limiting star tight end Travis Kelce (4-17-0), allowing the 25-year-old Gray to operate freely for his highest receiving total of the season. Fantasy managers should consider this a high-water mark for Gray so long as Kelce remains healthy, which the latter should be for next Sunday's tilt against the Raiders.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Claims two passes on MNF

Gray gathered in both of his targets for 29 yards during Monday's 26-13 victory against the Saints. Gray saw his workload climb a bit Monday as the Chiefs ran more two-tight end sets, and this could prove to be a theme moving forward with Hollywood Brown (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (knee) both done for the regular season and potentially beyond. Even if that's the case, Gray hasn't emerged as a major threat in the passing attack just yet, but he has reeled in 10 of 11 targets for 119 yards to date. Gray is likely fine to leave on waivers in most formats, but he could hold some small value in dynasty leagues as the probable heir to the starting role once Travis Kelce hangs up the cleats, signing a three-year contract extension prior to the season.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Posts season-best line in Week 4

Gray reeled in all four of his targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 17-10 win versus the Chargers. Gray's four grabs and 40 yards were high-water marks for the season. He played 32 offensive snaps in the contest, which is about on par with his previous work. The fourth-year tight could claim a heavier share of the snap pie moving forward following star wideout Rashee Rice's knee injury Sunday. Outside of veteran tight end Travis Kelce and rookie Xavier Worthy, the Chiefs will need some pass-catching options to step up. Gray's 4-40 line from Sunday at least displays a pulse in what otherwise was a struggling group behind Kelce and Worthy. Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, head coach Andy Reid plans to spread the ball around more widely moving forward. That could mean more work for Gray.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

We'll see how the Chiefs plan to replace Rashee Rice (knee), and using Gray in tandem with Travis Kelce could be part of the plan. In Week 4 at the Chargers, Gray had a season-high four targets for four catches and 40 yards, and he could continue to stay in that range while Andy Reid figures out the receiver situation. In deeper leagues, Gray is worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Snares one pass in Week 3

Gray logged one reception (on two targets) for 13 yards during Sunday's 22-17 victory over the Falcons. Gray continues to operate in the second-string role at tight end behind Travis Kelce, playing 50 percent of the offensive snaps in Sunday's tilt. However, he only ran 14 routes in the game, which isn't particularly conducive to a sizable fantasy output. Barring Travis Kelce missing time, Gray isn't worth rostering in fantasy formats other than dynasty, where he could hold future value once Kelce calls it quits.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: No impression on Week 2 box score

Gray went without a target in Sunday's 26-25 victory over Cincinnati. On a more positive note, Gray still played 57 percent of the offensive snaps in the game, marking a slight bump from his playing time in the opener against the Ravens. Still, he's unlikely to compile worthwhile fantasy totals while serving in the second-string role at tight end, especially with an additional weapon available to Patrick Mahomes in rookie Xavier Worthy, and with second-year wideout Rashee Rice still gobbling up a hefty target share. Gray could enter the conversation a bit more should Travis Kelce miss some time.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Makes three grabs in Week 1 win

Gray secured all three of his targets for 37 yards during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens. Gray outperformed star tight end Travis Kelce, who had three grabs for 34 yards despite drawing one more target, during Kansas City's season opener. The 2021 fifth-round pick, who signed a three-year extension just prior to Thursday's game, played 54 percent of offensive snaps compared to Kelce's 89 percent, so he remains relegated to backup duties heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals. Still, if Gray can continue looking solid in two-TE sets, he may emerge as a viable fantasy option in leagues that require multiple starting tight ends.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Nabs three passes

Gray gathered in three of four targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 25-17 win against the Bengals. Gray continues to see work alongside Travis Kelce at tight end in two-tight end sets, but he hasn't reeled in more than three passes in a game this year. He has just two touchdowns on the ledger. He hasn't compiled more than 38 receiving yards in a game this year, leaving him well off the fantasy radar in leagues besides ones potentially holding him in deep dynasty formats, where he could gain value should Kelce elect to retire after the 2023 campaign. That said, Gray could see slightly heightened value in Week 18 if the Chiefs, who are locked into the No. 3 seed in the AFC, elect to rest Kelce and some of the other veterans.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Records three receptions

Gray played 30 of the Chiefs' 60 snaps on offense and finished with three catches for 30 yards on three targets in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Raiders. Gray failed to record a reception for the first time all season in the Chiefs' Week 11 loss to the Eagles, but he was able to bounce back nicely in Kansas City's come-from-behind win over the Raiders. As long as top tight end Travis Kelce is available, Gray is unlikely to rank as anything more than a tertiary option in the Kansas City passing game, though the Duke product does at least see fairly consistent involvement. Gray has drawn between one and five targets in each of his 11 appearances to date.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Notches pair of catches Sunday

Gray gathered in both of his targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 27-20 victory versus the Vikings. Gray saw an uptick in his playing time this week due to Travis Kelce missing some action during the contest after Kelce suffered an ankle injury midgame. Pending the status of Kelce for Thursday's contest against the Broncos, Gray could be in line for a slightly healthier workload, though that doesn't guarantee a sizable fantasy output.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Ready to go at Jets

Gray (illness) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game at the Jets. After missing practice Wednesday and Thursday with an illness, Gray was a full participant at practice Friday and will suit up for Week 4. His snap count has remained relatively steady even with the return of Travis Kelce, but he's only seen five targets over the past two games.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Dealing with illness

Gray (illness) will not practice Wednesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Gray still has a few days to recover before the team's Week 4 contest with the Jets, but he is currently questionable for the game. If he's unable to play, Blake Bell would likely need to step into a larger workload, while the Chiefs may need to elevate Matt Bushman from the practice squad.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Serviceable in Week 1 spot start

Gray brought in three of five targets for 31 yards in the Chiefs' 21-20 loss to the Lions on Thursday night. Gray drew the start for Travis Kelce (knee), but it was fellow tight end Blake Bell who scored a touchdown between the two fill-ins. However, Gray tied for second in receptions and third in receiving yards on the night for the Chiefs, who used an all-hands-on-deck approach in their attempt to make up for Kelce's absence. The third-year pro took a sizable step forward in his production in 2022 with a 28-299-1 line on 34 targets, so Thursday's production could be somewhat indicative of what could be another incremental bump in volume in the new season, even when Kelce is healthy.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Expected to start for injured Kelce

Gray is expected to serve as the Chiefs' starting tight end for Thursday's game against the Lions with Travis Kelce (knee) inactive for the contest, Sports Radio 810 WHB Kansas City reports. The Chiefs have Blake Bell and practice-squad call-up Matt Bushman available as additional options at tight end, but Gray is listed second on the depth chart and should thus be first in line to fill in for Kelce, who will miss his first game since Week 16 of the 2021 season. Gray technically already has nine other NFL starts to his name, but Thursday's contest should represent the most prominent opportunity he's had in his three-year career to date. Even while backing Kelce up the past two seasons, Gray has averaged 1.3 targets per contest, but expect the Duke product to pick up at least a couple extra looks from Patrick Mahomes while he represents the Chiefs' top pass-catching option at tight end.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Records longest reception of career

Gray recorded a 26-yard reception on two targets while playing 25 of the Chiefs' 59 offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Colts. Gray's 26-yard catch and run with less than a minute left in the third quarter marked the longest reception through his first two seasons in the NFL. With snap shares ranging between 42 and 55 percent in each of the three games the Chiefs have played this season, Gray has carved out a larger role than anticipated behind top tight end Travis Kelce. Head coach Andy Reid hasn't been shy about having Gray and Kelce share the field together, but Gray typically functions as a blocker in those scenarios.

  • Chiefs' Noah Gray: Sees uptick in playing time

Gray compiled a pair of catches for 12 yards on two targets Sunday versus the Steelers. He played a season-high 50 snaps in the contest. Gray saw the biggest boost in his playing time with Travis Kelce (COVID-19 protocols) sitting out and turned in his best effort of the season, albeit to the tune of just two catches for 12 yards. He only figures to be slightly interesting next week if Kelce remains out of commission against the Bengals.
