    The Raiders placed Crawford (ankle) on injured reserve Sunday, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports. Crawford was not given a tag that designated his return during 2026, meaning the rookie third-rounder will spend the entirety of his first season on IR unless he works out a settlement with the team. With Crawford out, Malcolm Koonce becomes the primary depth option at outside linebacker behind Kwity Paye and Maxx Crosby.

  • Raiders' Keyron Crawford: Won't return Thursday

    Crawford (ankle) will not return to Thursday night's preseason finale against the 49ers, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports. Crawford exited late in the second half. The linebacker needed to be assisted off the field and was carted to the locker room from the blue tent. The third-round rookie appears to have a significant injury based on the precautions taken and may need to miss the beginning of the regular season.

Crawford was unable to practice Monday due to an undisclosed injury but he was back in action Tuesday. The linebacker appears to be on track to serve as a top reserve option at weakside linebacker this season, and he'll make his Raiders debut in the team's preseason opener Thursday against the Cardinals.
