Texans' Josh Pitsenberger: Reaches settlement with Houston

Pitsenberger (ankle) reached an injury settlement with the Texans on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The running back was placed on injured reserve Aug. 15 after suffering an ankle injury in a preseason loss to the Chargers. Now that Pitsenberger has reached a settlement with Houston, he has a chance to play in 2026. Wilson reported that the Yale product is dealing with a "three-week injury."

Texans' Josh Pitsenberger: Placed on injured reserve

The Texans placed Pitsenberger (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday. Pitsenberger suffered an ankle injury in Friday's preseason loss to the Chargers. The running back was set to be sidelined for at least a few weeks but will now miss the entirety of the 2026 season. The only way Pitsenberger could play in 2026 is if he is waived with an injury settlement.
