The Panthers waived Tolson (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
The rookie linebacker reverted to Carolina's IR after he cleared waivers but has since agreed to a settlement with the team, making him eligible to return this season. Tolson will now wait for other playing opportunities around the league once he's back to full health.
