  • Keaontay Ingram: Back to practice squad

The Chiefs re-signed Ingram to the practice squad Thursday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Ingram was waived by Kansas City on Tuesday to make room for veteran running back Kareem Hunt on the 53-man roster. After having just played five snaps on special teams during the Chiefs' win over the Falcons in Week 3 despite Isiah Pacheco (fibula) being on injured reserve, Ingram will now resume handling an emergency depth role for the team.

  • Keaontay Ingram: Let go by Kansas City

The Chiefs waived Ingram on Tuesday. Ingram was signed to the roster ahead of Kansas City's Week 3 win over Atlanta to provide backfield depth after Isiah Pacheco (fibula) was placed on injured reserve. He ended up playing just five special-teams snaps against Atlanta, with Carson Steele and Samaje Perine taking on all of the snaps out of the backfield. Ingram was waived Tuesday to make room on the 53-man roster for Kareem Hunt, and the former will explore his next options should he clear waivers.

  • Chiefs' Keaontay Ingram: Joins active roster

The Chiefs signed Ingram off their practice squad Wednesday. With Isiah Pacheco (fibula) landing on injured reserve Wednesday and set to miss at least six weeks, Ingram will bolster Kansas City's backfield depth ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. For now, Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are the other backs on the team's active roster, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the reserve/non-football illness and ineligible for activation until Week 5 and Kareem Hunt having just been signed to the practice squad. For now, Ingram will likely be behind Steele and Perine in the mix for work out of the backfield, and once Hunt is up to speed with the offense, he could be elevated and also move ahead of Ingram in the pecking order.

  • Keaontay Ingram: Done in Kansas City

The Chiefs waived Ingram on Tuesday. Ingram made a deal with Kansas City after an underwhelming start to his NFL career with the Cardinals, but now the Chiefs have decided to move on too. He has good physical tools, but his production as a pro up to this point has been poor.

  • Chiefs' Keaontay Ingram: Up from practice squad

The Chiefs elevated Ingram from their practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. With both Isiah Pacheco (concussion/shoulder) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) listed as questionable for the contest, Ingram gives the Chiefs added Week 17 depth in a backfield that also includes La'Mical Perine. In eight games with the Cardinals prior to landing with Kansas City, Ingram logged 74 yards on 35 carries to go along with four catches for 26 yards.

  • Keaontay Ingram: Cut loose by Arizona

Arizona waived Ingram on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. After claiming Michael Carter off waivers from the Jets and getting James Conner and Emari Demercado back from injuries in recent weeks, the Cardinals didn't have much of a need to keep Ingram around as a fourth running back. Before he was a healthy inactive for the Cardinals' Week 12 loss to the Rams, Ingram appeared in eight games and mustered just 74 yards on 35 carries (2.1 average) to go with four receptions for 26 yards.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Healthy scratch Sunday

Ingram (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Ingram's workload has been yanked around from week to week, and now that Emari Demercado (toe) is back from a three-game absence, the former will be the odd man out in the Cardinals backfield. James Conner will continue to be the team's lead runner, but Demercado and Michael Carter are the available running backs behind him.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Gets two carries in Week 10

Ingram tallied two carries for two yards during Sunday's 25-23 win against the Falcons. The Cardinals rode James Conner out of the backfield in his first action since Week 5, as he turned 41 offensive snaps into 16 carries for 73 yards. Meanwhile, Ingram got 14 snaps, and fellow reserve running back Tony Jones recorded seven offensive snaps en route to one carry for 13 yards. With Conner able to handle his typical workhorse role, even Ingram's limited usage will be contingent on when Emari Demercado may be able to return from a toe injury.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Gets back into offensive mix

Ingram tallied two carries for nine yards and caught his only target for seven yards during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Ravens. After being contained to nine snaps on special teams Week 7, Ingram regained a small foothold on offense, despite logging 29 plays in that realm. Meanwhile, Emari Demercado continued to dominate the Cardinals backfield, with James Conner (knee) on injured reserve, turning 42 snaps into 21 touches for 79 yards from scrimmage. Fellow RB Damien Williams suffered a foot injury Sunday, so Ingram may be the exclusive No. 2 option behind Demercado on Sunday in Cleveland.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: No work on offense in Week 7

Ingram tallied nine snaps on special teams and none on offense during Sunday's 20-10 loss in Seattle. One week removed from pacing the Cardinals with 10 carries in their first game since James Conner (knee) was placed on IR, Ingram was relegated entirely to special-teams work Sunday. The backfield instead was led by Emari Demercado, who turned an 80 percent snap share into 17 touches for 75 yards from scrimmage. Behind Demercado, Damien Williams had just one rush for two yards on 18 percent of the snaps. Demercado may now have a leg up on Williams and Ingram for touches until Conner returns, making it difficult to rely on Ingram for production.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Solid in lead back role

Ingram rushed 10 times for 40 yards and brought in both targets for 11 yards in the Cardinals' 26-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday. Ingram got first crack at the No. 1 running back job with James Conner (IR-knee) sidelined and put together a respectable performance on a per-touch basis. The second-year back logged only two more carries than Damien Williams, however, and the latter was actually more efficient by averaging 4.5 yards per tote. Ingram should have a very good chance of retaining a solid role for a Week 7 road matchup against the Seahawks, although Seattle's run defense has been stingy over the first six games of the season.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Cleared to play

Ingram (neck) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. Ingram upgraded to full practice participation Friday, and his impending return creates questions about the backfield pecking order for Arizona. Undrafted rookie Emari Demercado played every single snap in the second half of last week's loss to Cincinnati after James Conner (IR - knee) was knocked out, but the Cardinals then listed Ingram atop their Week 6 depth chart, with coach Jonathan Gannon offering nothing more than coachspeak that's of little use to fantasy managers. Odds are both Demercado and Ingram get touches this weekend, but the split will be tough to predict ahead of time.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Week 6 Adds (RB Preview)

Ingram is still listed atop the Cardinals' depth chart at running back, we just don't know if he'll be able to go. A neck injury has kept him out the past two weeks, opening the door for Demercado. If Ingram is active we expect a hot-hand approach with Demercado working more on passing downs and Ingram working more in short yardage.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Expected back this week

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Ingram (neck) is expected to play Sunday against the Rams, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. If so, Ingram will return from a two-game absence at a convenient time, with the Cardinals having placed James Conner (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday. Emari Demercado played every snap on offense in the second half of Sunday's loss to Cincinnati, and while the rookie remains the best bet to step in as Conner's primary replacement Week 6, the Cardinals could still have room for Ingram and/or Tony Jones to get some touches.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Questionable for Week 5

Ingram (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bengals, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. Ingram missed Wednesday's practice before managing back-to-back limited sessions to wrap up Week 5 prep. It remains to be seen whether or not his absence is contained to one game or extends to two, but his availability won't be confirmed until 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If Ingram is sidelined again, Emari Demercado will serve as the Cardinals' No. 2 running back behind James Conner.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Returns to limited practice

Ingram (neck) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Prior to sitting out Week 4 at San Francisco, Ingram didn't practice at all last Friday due to a neck injury. The issue kept him out of this Wednesday's session, too, but his return in some capacity one day later indicates he's made some progress through the health concern. Ultimately, Friday's injury report may clear up his status, one way or another, for Sunday's game against the Bengals. If Ingram is limited or sidelined, Emari Demercado likely will handle the handful of RB touches that don't go to starter James Conner.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Not playing Sunday

Ingram (neck) is listed as inactive Sunday at San Francisco. After showing up as limited on Thursday's practice report due to a neck injury, Ingram didn't practice at all Friday, resulting in a questionable tag for Week 4. Now that he won't be available to the Cardinals offense Sunday, Ingram will hand off reserve RB duties to Emari Demercado and practice-squad call-up Corey Clement behind starter James Conner.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Status in question

Ingram (neck) has drawn a questionable tag ahead of Sunday's game in San Francisco, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Ingram popped up on the injury report as a limited participant Thursday. He subsequently missed Friday's practice, so he is not trending in the right direction. Still, final confirmation on his status is not likely to come until Sunday morning. Emari Demercado would be in line to back up James Conner in the backfield if Ingram is ultimately unable to suit up.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Records 21 total yards Sunday

Ingram turned five carries into 13 yards and gathered in his only target for eight yards during Sunday's 29-16 victory versus the Cowboys. Ingram earned his highest snap share (15 percent) in a game this season and also had his most-productive performance. Still, 21 yards from scrimmage isn't much to write home about, especially with James Conner dominating the Cardinals backfield through three contests to the tune of 74.3 percent of offensive plays and 58 touches for 292 total yards and two TDs. Ingram likely is locked into his current role without some sort of absence from Conner.

  • Cardinals' Keaontay Ingram: Treads water in Week 1

Ingram had five carries for minus-4 yards during Sunday's 20-16 defeat at Washington. Ingram's first four rushes all went for negative yardage, including three of them for minus-3 yards, so his final carry for six yards canceled out two of those losses. He also didn't get much run on offense (seven snaps), with James Conner easily pacing Cardinals running backs with 52 (of 62) plays and 19 touches for 70 yards from scrimmage. As a result, Ingram remains a fantasy non-entity without some sort of absence from Conner.
