  • Lawrence Keys: Cut with injury settlement

Detroit waived Keys (leg) from its injured-reserve list with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Unless he's scooped up by another team during the current waiver period, Keys is now on track to become a free agent. He's still waiting to make his NFL regular-season debut, but his next opportunity may have to come with a different squad.

  • Lions' Lawrence Keys: Going to IR

Keys (leg) reverted from waivers to Detroit's injured reserve list Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log. Keys was not claimed by another team after the Lions waived him with an injury designation Tuesday, and now he's set to spend the year on IR recovering from a leg issue. For now, guys like Lucky Jackson and Tarik Black could see an uptick in reps during practices.

  • Lawrence Keys: Waived/injured by Detroit

The Lions waived Keys with an injury designation Tuesday. The move comes after Keys left Monday's training camp practice due to a leg injury. If he goes through waivers unclaimed, then Keys would revert to the Lions' injured reserve and be forced to sit out for the entire 2026 season unless an injury settlement is reached with Detroit.

  • Lions' Lawrence Keys: Signs with Detroit

Keys signed a contract with the Lions on Thursday. Lawrence last spent time with the Bills in 2024 but was let go prior to the season due to a leg injury. The 26-year-old had one catch for 13 yards in his singular preseason game in Buffalo. The former Tulane prospect will compete for a spot on the Lions' 53-man roster as the offseason program continues.

  • Lawrence Keys: Let go by Buffalo

Keys (leg) was waived/injured by the Bills on Tuesday. Keys left practice last week with a leg injury and it has ultimately cost him any remote chance of making the Bills' squad this season. The Oregon product will potentially revert to season-ending IR if he goes unclaimed while on waivers.
