Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Minuscule outing in blowout loss
Rotowire
Allgeier didn't record a rushing attempt and caught his only target for minus-one yard during Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Broncos.
Allgeier's lone touch came on the Falcons' first drive, and he recorded only four offensive snaps the entire game. Bijan Robinson dominated the playing time early on, and Atlanta shifted to a pass-happy script after falling behind by double-digits. Rookie Jase McClellan handled all of the garbage-time work. Allgeier remains a solid insurance piece for Robinson, but the former's production as a backup has been sporadic.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Logs full practice Thursday
Rotowire
Allgeier (quadriceps) practiced in full Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Allgeier has earned double-digit touches in three of the last five contests, averaging 10.8 touches for 52.6 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring two rushing TDs. He kicked off Week 11 prep as limited due to a quad injury Wednesday, but his ability to get back to all activity one day later sets him up for a similar workload Sunday in Denver.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Listed with quad injury
Rotowire
Allgeier was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a quadricep injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Allgeier handled his normal workload in a 20-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday, taking 11 carries for 59 yards. He apparently picked up a quad injury along the way, but his practice participation Wednesday suggests it's nothing serious. Allgeier likely will be ready to work in behind Bijan Robinson this Sunday at Denver.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Double-digit touches in Week 10
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed 11 times for 59 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
Allgeier garnered double-digit rushing attempts for just the third time in 2024. Despite being stymied at the one-yard line on three consecutive plays in the second quarter -- Bijan Robinson eventually scored on fourth down -- Allgeier was actually efficient with his increased workload, recording at least 5.0 yards per carry for the sixth game this season. In five games with at least eight carries, Allgeier has rushed for 310 yards, but he's totaled only 119 rushing yards in his other five appearances.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Modest production in win
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed 12 times for 33 yards in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Buccaneers.
Allgeier played 22 of the Falcons' 62 offensive snaps Sunday, well behind starter Bijan Robinson, who was on the field for 42 snaps. Despite the lopsided playing time in favor of Robinson, the 24-year-old Allgeier earned a near-even split in carries with Robinson, handling 12 carries to Robinson's 13 attempts on the ground. Allgeier was not involved in the passing game, while Robinson saw seven targets against the Buccaneers. Going forward, the former will continue to operate as the backup and hold minimal standalone value, though he would get a major boost if Robinson were to miss time down the stretch. The Falcons are set to host the Cowboys in Week 9.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Clears century mark in Week 6
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed 18 times for 105 yards and a touchdown while catching his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over Carolina.
Allgeier finished as the Falcons' leading rusher in a game the Atlanta backfield tallied 200 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Starter Bijan Robinson (15 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns) produced the better fantasy line after hitting pay dirt twice in the first half of Sunday's win. The 24-year-old Allgeier still put up noteworthy numbers and reached double-digit carries for the first time all season. Allgeier's big performance should give him some appeal in deeper leagues Week 7, when the Falcons will match up with a porous Seattle run defense.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Minor roles continues
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed six times for 12 yards and caught all three of his targets for 13 yards during Thursday's 36-30 overtime win over Tampa Bay.
Allgeier continues to see limited offensive snaps, and Thursday was his least efficient night thus far. He's still averaging 5.4 yards per carry, a significant improvement over his 3.7 mark from last season. Allgeier has yet to see more than 10 touches in a game this season but remains an insurance policy for managers rostering Bijan Robinson.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Leading rusher in Week 4 win
Rotowire
Allgeier carried the ball eight times for 60 yards and caught both his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over the Saints.
Despite the modest volume, Allgeier actually led the Falcons' backfield in both carries and rushing yards, topping Bijan Robinson's lackluster seven totes for 28 yards. Allgeier still hasn't seen more than 10 touches in a game this season, and despite the relatively even division of the workload Sunday, he isn't going to suddenly challenge Robinson for the top spot on the depth chart. However, both backs could be productive in Week 5 against a Buccaneers defense that has struggled against the run so far in 2024.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Limited work again
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed seven times for 32 yards during Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Chiefs.
Allgeier was on the field for only 13 offensive snaps. He's played around 20 percent of Atlanta's offensive snaps through three weeks, but when he's out there, the backup RB is heavily involved, recording 20 touches on 35 snaps. Allgeier boasts a solid 5.6 yards per carry thus far, showing signs of his rookie campaign in 2022 when he rushed for 1,035 yards and averaged 4.9 yards per carry. Last year, Allgeier averaged only 3.7 yards per carry. Regardless, Bijan Robinson remains the star of the Falcons backfield, leaving Allgeier as merely an insurance policy in fantasy.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Move involved in Week 2
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed nine times for 53 yards and caught his lone target for 12 yards during Monday's 22-21 win over the Eagles.
After three touches in nine offensive snaps during Week 1, Allgeier touched the ball on 10 of his 13 offensive snaps during Monday Night Football. However, starting RB Bijan Robinson was the star of the Falcons' offense all night, totaling 19 touches for 101 yards. Allgeier's snap count through two games suggests he's nothing more than an insurance policy, but his 6.2 yards per carry tells a different story. While that's likely unsustainable, Allgeier's efficient night might earn him more opportunities moving forward.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Scores long touchdown in Week 17
Rotowire
Allgeier took five carries for 13 yards and caught his only target for a 75-yard touchdown during Sunday's 37-17 loss in Chicago.
Allgeier handled his fewest rushes in a game this season and fell below 3.0 yards per carry for the first time since Week 7, but he offset it by turning a screen pass from quarterback Taylor Heinicke into the longest play from scrimmage of his two-year career. The score also marked Allgeier's third in the last five contests to push him to a new career best of five TDs. Next up for Allgeier is the Saints' 21st-ranked run defense (122.5 yards per game) in Week 18.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Efficient afternoon in win
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed nine times for 69 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for a 19-yard reception in the Falcons' 29-10 win over the Colts on Sunday.
Allgeier was only three carries behind Bijan Robinson, who had an efficient day himself, and the former was the only one of the two to get into the end zone, doing so via a nifty 31-yard run up the right sideline early in the third quarter. Allgeier continues to get his fair share of opportunities most weeks at Robinson's expense, capping the full fantasy value of both to an extent heading into a Week 17 road matchup against a tough Bears run defense.
Allgeier rushed nine times for 40 yards and wasn't targeted in the Falcons' 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Allgeier's yardage total paced the Falcons' ground attack on a day when the Buccaneers' run defense mostly clamped down on him and backfield mate Bijan Robinson. Allgeier also went without a target for the third straight game, his longest such stretch this season. Allgeier was encouragingly only one rush attempt behind Robinson's tally, but the timeshare scenario in Atlanta's backfield lowers the former's fantasy ceiling more because of his lack of a consistent pass-catching role.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Minimal impact in win
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed eight times for 26 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 13-8 win over the Jets.
Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson (five carries for 11 yards) both rotated in to spell Bijan Robinson, who turned 18 carries and five targets into 79 scrimmage yards. With Robinson healthy, Allgeier has totaled between eight and 12 carries in each of the last five games. Allgeier's role is unlikely to change in Week 14 against the Buccaneers.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Sleeper RBs
Rotowire
In full disclosure, I hope Allgeier struggles in Week 10 at Arizona, mostly because I want Bijan Robinson to dominate touches and, in turn, dominate the Cardinals. But we know Arthur Smith is committed to Allgeier, who has at least 13 total touches in four of the past five games. He scored at least 11 PPR points in two of those outings, and he could end up with a decent stat line with that amount of work against the Cardinals. Arizona is No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and Allgeier can be used as a flex option in deeper leagues.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Modest role in loss
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed eight times for 31 yards during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans.
With Bijan Robinson (illness) back to full strength, Allgeier saw his fewest rushing attempts since Week 4 and wasn't targeted in the passing attack. It was just the third time the BYU product has garnered single-digit touches this year, and he remains a low-end RB3 who likely needs to find the end zone to deliver quality fantasy production.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Handles 13 carries in loss
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed 13 times for 51 yards and failed to haul in his only target during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders.
Allgeier tied Bijan Robinson in rushing attempts and was slightly more efficient than the rookie, but the latter still outproduced the former when factoring in the passing game. Allgeier has seen double-digit rushing attempts in four of six games thus far, but he's averaging a measly 3.1 yards per carry after posting a 4.9 YPC as a rookie last year. Currently, Allgeier is a low-end RB3 who likely needs to find the end zone to deliver quality fantasy production.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Scores twice in Week 1
Rotowire
Allgeier rushed 15 times for 75 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers. He also caught all three of his targets for 19 yards.
Allgeier finished with more rushing attempts and rushing yards than Bijan Robinson, and the two running backs accounted for all three of the Falcons' touchdowns. Overall, Allgeier recorded 18 touches for 94 yards, while Robinson finished with 16 touches for 83 yards. Robinson is certainly the more dynamic back, but Allgeier consistently gets the job done and figures to have a solid role in Atlanta's run-heavy attack moving forward. It's also extremely encouraging to see Allgeier involved in the passing game, as he caught three or more passes just three times across 16 appearances last year.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: One carry in preseason debut
Rotowire
Allgeier carried the ball once for -1 yards in Friday's 13-13 tie against the Bengals in preseason action.
Allgeier was the first back on the field and carried the ball for seven yards on the opening play from scrimmage, though the gain was ultimately washed out due to a holding penalty. He touched the ball only one additional time, which resulted in a loss. Bijan Robinson led the backfield Friday and will do the same when the Falcons kick off the regular season against the Panthers.

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Looking at reduced role
Rotowire
Allgeier will be joined by No. 8 overall draft pick Bijan Robinson in the Atlanta backfield, The Athletic's Josh Kendall reports.
A fifth-rounder last spring, Allgeier set the team rookie rushing record with 1,035 yards but will have a hard time matching that number while competing for carries with one of the best RB prospects of the past decade. Robinson's combine weight (215) was just five pounds shy of Allgeier's listed weight, and the rookie ran a much faster 40-yard dash (4.46 compared to 4.60) than his new backfield mate. The two players had similar production their final two collegiate seasons, but Robinson did it at a younger age against tougher competition and with far more receiving production to boot. Allgeier may thus be reduced to a backup role as soon as Week 1, and at best he'll be splitting work in a backfield where 32-year-old Cordarrelle Patterson is also under contract and could get some touches. Even in Arthur Smith's run-heavy offense, Allgeier probably won't get enough work to be a fantasy starter if Robinson stays healthy.
