The Cardinals placed Knight (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Zach Gershman of the team's official site reports.
Knight played just one snap in Sunday's 40-20 loss to the Texans before exiting the contest with a left ankle sprain. While follow-up tests revealed no structural damage, his sprain is significant enough to sideline him for the final three games of the season. With Knight joining James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) on injured reserve, Arizona will be left with Michael Carter and Emari Demercado as its primary backfield options. Knight will be a restricted free agent this offseason after he gained 269 yards on 82 carries (3.3 YPC) and four touchdowns to go with 160 yards and another score on 22 catches over 12 appearances for Arizona.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Believed to have sprain
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) is set for an MRI after being carted off the field during Sunday's 40-20 loss to Houston, but he's believed to be dealing with a sprain, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Knight appears to have avoided a severe injury, with league sources telling Schefter that the running back is nursing "a bad sprain," but that could still notably impact his availability for the last three weeks of the regular season. Emari Demercado and Michael Carter will be positioned as Arizona's clear backfield leaders if Knight misses any time, with James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) both already having been lost for the year. Knight's first opportunity to attempt to prove he's healthy enough to play Week 16 against the Falcons will come during Wednesday's practice.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Won't return Sunday
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus the Texans.
Knight logged just one carry for minus-2 yards before exiting and being carted to he locker room in the first quarter. The 24-year-old has been serving as the Cardinals' top running back due to James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) both being out for the season. Over the last eight games prior to Week 15, Knight recorded 77 rushes for 260 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 21 catches (on 30 targets). His next opportunity to take the field will come Week 16 versus the Falcons on Sunday, Dec. 21. In Knight's absence, Emari Demercado and Michael Carter will carry the load at running back.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Suffers ankle injury
Rotowire
Knight exited Sunday's game at Houston due to an ankle injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Knight had his left ankle pinned under a Texans defender as he was tackled to the turf early in the first quarter. Per Urban, Knight was carted to the locker room and soon after was deemed questionable to return. Michael Carter and Emari Demercado are left as the likeliest candidates to carry Arizona's backfield for as long as Knight is sidelined.

Cardinals' Zonovan Knight: RBs to Sit
Rotowire
We found out Wednesday that Trey Benson (knee) won't return this season, so Knight will likely be the primary running back for the Cardinals for the rest of the year. That gives him flex appeal most weeks, but I'm concerned about his Fantasy outlook in Week 15 at Houston. The Texans are No. 8 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and the Cardinals are without left tackle Paris Johnson (knee). Knight struggled in Week 14 against the Rams with seven carries for 16 yards and three catches for 18 yards on six targets, and he should have another disappointing outing in Week 15.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Abysmal showing Sunday
Rotowire
Knight was held to 16 yards on seven carries while catching three of six targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Rams.
Knight failed to take advantage of lead-back duties even with both Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle) still missing Sunday. The 24-year-old Knight struggled to generate much running room early on, then fell victim to the blowout game script in the second half. The journeyman backup failed to mask his poor production with a trip to the end zone like we saw in Weeks 11 and 12. With the aforementioned teammates potentially nearing returns, Knight's brief run of fantasy utility could come to a close in short order, assuming it hasn't run dry already.

Cardinals' Zonovan Knight: Sleeper RBs
Rotowire
Knight doesn't have an easy matchup in Week 14 against the Rams, who are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, but I still like Knight as a flex option in all leagues if Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle) remain out. Knight has scored at least 13.2 PPR points in three games in a row, and he has at least 9.4 PPR points in six of eight outings since Benson was injured. In his past three games, Knight has 11 catches for 77 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets, and he has at least three targets in each outing. The Rams have also allowed four running backs to score at least 11. PPR points in their past four games.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Receiving TD in Sunday's loss
Rotowire
Knight rushed 11 times for 62 yards and brought in all three targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Knight was the clear lead back due to Emari Demercado (ankle) being sidelined, and the 24-year-old put together a season-high yardage total while logging double-digit carries for the second straight game and fifth time in the last seven contests overall. Knight also averaged a season-high 5.6 yards per carry, and he recorded the first receiving touchdown of his career on a 15-yard grab during a broken play late in the third quarter. As Jess Root of USA Today notes, Knight didn't see the field after the 10:46 mark in the fourth quarter, though that may have been a byproduct of Arizona favoring its passing-down personnel featuring Michael Carter in the backfield. Knight had been nursing a knee injury coming into Sunday, so his practice activity may be worth keeping an eye on during Week 14 prep. Even if his knee doesn't prove to be a concern, Knight could still be in line for a lightened workload next Sunday versus the Rams if Trey Benson (knee) is cleared to return from injured reserve.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Active in Week 13
Rotowire
Knight (knee) is listed as active Sunday in Tampa Bay.
Knight has battled lower-body injuries at times over the last month and a half, with a knee issue limiting him at all three Week 13 sessions and leaving him questionable for Sunday's contest. Now that he's confirmed to be available, he appears poised to get a majority share of the Cardinals' backfield reps considering Trey Benson (knee) remains on injured reserve and Emari Demercado is sitting out a second straight game due to a high-ankle sprain. Over the last five outings with various RB personnel available for Arizona, Knight has tallied 221 yards from scrimmage and two rushing TDs on 62 touches. Michael Carter is Knight's greatest threat to take on snaps.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Status in question for Week 13
Rotowire
Knight (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
With Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle) ruled out for Week 13, Knight now is the only question mark among the Cardinals' running backs that are dealing with injuries. Knight's knee issue limited him in all three practices this week, and his status will be clarified about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Assuming he's able to suit up this weekend, he and Michael Carter likely will split the backfield reps in some fashion, but Jermar Jefferson also may be on hand for his first touch of the season.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Stays limited Thursday
Rotowire
Knight (knee) was listed as limited on Thursday's injury report, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Meanwhile, Trey Benson (knee), who remains on injured reserve, and Emari Demercado (ankle) were listed as non-participants, leaving Knight and Michael Carter as the healthiest of the Cardinals' top options at running back at the moment. Friday's practice report will reveal who among the quartet has a chance to suit up Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Cleared to play, unlike Benson
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
An upgrade to full practice participation Friday makes Knight the clear favorite to lead a backfield that won't have Trey Benson (knee) or Emari Demercado (ankle). That said, Arizona's backfield roles have been highly variable and unpredictable, so it won't be too surprising if Michael Carter and/or Jermar Jefferson also get a large chunk of the workload.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Another limited showing
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
In the wake of Emari Demercado (ankle) being ruled out for Week 12 and the Cardinals designating Trey Benson (knee) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Knight himself is dealing with a health concern this week that's capped his practice reps. Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Knight enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest versus the Jaguars, but even if he's able to suit up, his eventual workload may be contingent on the team's decision regarding Benson, who will need to be activated from IR by Saturday afternoon to have a chance to play this weekend. Aside from Knight, Michael Carter represents the other running back on Arizona's active roster.

Cardinals' Zonovan Knight: RBs to Sit
Rotowire
Emari Demcercado (ankle) is out for the Cardinals in Week 12 against Jacksonville, but Trey Benson (knee) could be activated off injured reserve. If Benson plays, then it will be tough to trust Knight in the majority of leagues, but I'd be skeptical of Knight even if Benson remains out. While Knight has scored at least 9.4 PPR points in four of six games without Benson, including three rushing touchdowns, this is a tough matchup against the Jaguars, who are No. 6 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Only two running backs have rushed for touchdowns against Jacksonville this season, and one since Week 5. Knight, if Benson remains out, is a flex option at best in the majority of leagues.
Emari Demercado has a high ankle sprain, and Trey Benson, as of Tuesday, is still on Injured Reserve. That could mean that Knight and Michael Carter are the top two backs for Arizona in Week 12. Knight should be the leading rusher and should certainly be the goalline back. He also has four targets in three of his last four games. View him as a high-end flex this week.

Cardinals' Zonovan Knight: Week 12 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Trey Benson (knee) remains on injured reserve, and Emari Demercado (ankle) left Week 11 against San Francisco. We weren't sure Knight was going to play against the 49ers because he was dealing with an ankle injury prior to the game, but he was active and had five carries for 24 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 21 yards on four targets. He's now scored at least 9.4 PPR points in four of six games without Benson, and he should be considered a flex option heading into Week 12 against Jacksonville if Benson and Demercado are out. Knight is worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Listed as questionable
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The Cardinals listed Knight as a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, following his early exit from a 44-22 loss to the Seahawks in Week 10. He worked as Arizona's lead rusher before the injury -- a reverse from Week 9 when Emari Demercado got 14 carries -- but Knight gained just 33 total yards on 11 touches before his fourth-quarter exit at Seattle. The lack of role consistency/certainty in Arizona's backfield will make Knight a shaky fantasy option even if he avoids the inactive list before a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Another limited showing
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Knight maintained his activity level from Wednesday's walkthrough, giving him just one more chance to practice in full this week, or else he'll be at risk of entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest versus the 49ers. Over the last two games, Knight has split most of the backfield snaps with Emari Demercado, but he's been far less efficient with them, as evidenced by 22 touches for 80 yards from scrimmage (as opposed to Demercado's 182 total yards on the same number of touches).

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Limited at walkthrough
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) was a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Knight and Emari Demercado have been splitting the majority of the RB snaps since the Cardinals' Week 8 bye, with both players earning 22 touches over the last two games. Demercado has been far more effective with those reps, accruing 182 yards from scrimmage to Knight's 80 total yards. Knight exited this past Sunday's loss at Seattle with an ankle injury in the fourth quarter, and he likely will need to log a full session Thursday and/or Friday in order to avoid a designation ahead of Sunday's contest against the 49ers.
