  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Missing wild-card round

Whittington (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Panthers in the wild-card round. Whittington was sidelined for all three of the Rams' practices this week, leading to him being ruled out Thursday. With Davante Adams back from his hamstring injury, there likely won't be many targets to go around behind Puka Nacua and Adams, with Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith and Tutu Atwell left to compete for those looks among wide receivers. Blake Corum is a candidate to return kickoffs in Whittington's absence.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Still sidelined Wednesday

Whittington (knee) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Whittington was injured in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. If he's unable to play Saturday against the Panthers, Xavier Smith and Tutu Atwell would be next up for wideout reps behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: DNP at walkthrough

Whittington (knee) was estimated as DNP on Tuesday's practice report, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Los Angeles didn't actually practice Tuesday but was required to release an estimation ahead of Saturday afternoon's wild-card matchup with the Panthers. Whittington suffered a knee injury is Sunday's win over the Cardinals and underwent an MRI.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Undergoes MRI for knee injury

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Whittington will have an MRI to determine the severity of his knee injury, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports. Whittington suffered a knee injury in the Rams' Week 18 win over the Cardinals and was unable to return. The 25-year-old's status for the team's wild-card rematch against the Panthers is unclear. Tutu Atwell and Xavier Smith will likely see more reps if Whittington is unable to return for the first round of the playoffs.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Returns three kicks in defeat

Whittington returned three kicks for 80 yards during Monday's 27-24 loss to the Falcons. For the third time in the last five games, Whittington failed to draw a target on offense. Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith have taken over as the primary backups behind Puka Nacua with Davante Adams (hamstring) still nursing an injury, and Whittington tied with Tutu Atwell with just 13 snaps on offense. It's likely that Whittington's primary role for the Rams will continue to be as a kick returner again in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Cardinals.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Records just four snaps on offense

Whittington failed to secure his only target and returned four kickoffs for 102 yards during Sunday's 41-34 win against the Lions. For the second time in three games, Whittington failed to make a catch, and his four snaps on offense mark a season low for the second-year pro. Konata Mumpfield's usage has increased significantly in recent weeks, leaving Whittington, Xavier Smith and a returning Tutu Atwell with just a handful of snaps to work with in recent games. Davante Adams (hamstring) is in danger of missing Thursday's divisional showdown in Seattle in Week 16, but a sudden surge in usage and targets from Matthew Stafford seems unlikely given his track record so far this season.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Held without a catch

Whittington failed to secure his only target during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Panthers. Sunday's game against Carolina marked the third time in the last five games that Whittington was held without a catch, a concerning trend made more troubling by a three-catch, 82-yard performance by Xavier Smith. Whittington actually played the least of the Rams' backup wide receiver corps, with both Smith and Konata Mumpfield logging 20 snaps to Whittington's 18. Tutu Atwell (hamstring) is trending towards a return for the Week 14 contest against the Cardinals after logging three full practices last week as well, which would push Whittington further down the depth chart.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Little impact in win

Whittington secured his only target for nine yards and returned two kicks for 48 yards during Sunday's 21-19 victory against the Seahawks. The second-year pro saw the field often with Tutu Atwell (hamstring) still on IR and Xavier Smith (concussion) leaving the contest in the first half. The additional playing time didn't amount to anything significant on the stat sheet, although his lone catch was his first since Week 7. With the Buccaneers up next in Week 12, Whittington may be pressed into a bigger role if Smith is unable to clear the concussion protocol, as Atwell won't be available to return until the following week against the Panthers at the earliest. The offense still primarily runs through Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (16 targets out of 25 passing attempts), however, making it difficult to trust Whittington in fantasy lineups.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Full participant Thursday

Whittington (back) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. The kickoff returner and wide receiver was limited during Wednesday's session. Whittington played through the injury last Sunday against the 49ers, logging seven offensive snaps and 14 special-teams snaps. In 2025, he has 12 catches for 121 yards, along with 109 kickoff-return yards.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Limited Wednesday

Whittington (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Whittington played through the back issue last Sunday against the 49ers, but he played just seven offensive snaps and appears to have fallen behind both Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield on the depth chart behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (oblique).

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Usage deteriorates again

Whittington didn't record a target during Sunday's 42-26 victory against the 49ers. Whittington was on the field for a season-low seven snaps on offense, which may have been partially due to a back injury that held him out of practice for part of the week. Fellow backups Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield played nearly the same amount of time as starters Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (oblique). With Nacua and Adams still dominating the attention of Matthew Stafford on Sunday while generating a combined 11-141-2 stat line, it's difficult to rely on any other receiver for the Rams when the star duo is healthy. A game with massive ramifications for the NFC West is up next on the docket, as the Rams host the Seahawks in Week 11.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Active Sunday

Whittington (back) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers. After missing practice Wednesday and Thursday, Whittington logged a limited session Friday before being listed as questionable for Sunday's contest. With his Week 10 availability confirmed, Whittington will continue to work behind the Rams' clear-cut top WRs, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. In that role, Whittington has recorded a 12/121/0 receiving line on 17 targets in eight games, a pace that keeps him off the fantasy radar in most formats.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice again

Whittington (back) did not participate in practice for the second day in a row Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. The kick returner and wide receiver will have one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's matchup with the 49ers. Whittington has 12 catches for 121 yards and 109 kickoff-return yards on the year. If Whittington ultimately sits out Sunday, Blake Corum might be next in line to handle kickoff-return duties.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Makes pair of catches

Whittington secured two of four targets for nine yards during Sunday's 35-7 victory against the Jaguars in London. The second-year pro actually led all Rams wideouts in snaps played in the London contest, taking the field for 41 out of 70 snaps. Whittington wasn't able to do much with that usage, however, as Davante Adams, Terrance Ferguson and Konata Mumpfield were the targets of Matthew Stafford's five passing touchdowns on the day, with Adams garnering three by himself. Whittington hasn't hit the next level in terms of production through seven games, with a meager 12-121-0 stat line as the Rams enter their bye week. He'll look to get back on track in Week 9 in a home contest against the Saints.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Does little with four touches

Whittington secured two of three targets for seven yards and rushed twice for seven yards during Sunday's 33-26 loss to the Eagles. Once again operating as the tertiary option at wideout, Whittington found little room to run when presented with opportunities and was unable to replicate the huge 40-yard catch from last week against the Titans. On the field for exactly half of the Rams' snaps on offense, Whittington seems to have secured his hold as the No. 3 wideout for the Rams, a role that is unlikely to hold much fantasy appeal given the dominance Puka Nacua and Davante Adams have in target share; 23 of Matthew Stafford's 33 pass attempts were targeted to the duo.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Earns 11 snaps on offense

Whittington secured his only target for 12 yards during Sunday's 28-22 divisional round loss to the Eagles. Notably, Whittington easily outpaced fellow backup Tutu Atwell, who only recorded two snaps on offense, in playing time. The sixth-round rookie carved out a small role on offense in the 2024 campaign, putting up a 22-293-0 receiving line while tacking on a pair of rushing attempts for 12 yards. Whittington's role may increase in 2025, as both Demarcus Robinson and the aforementioned Atwell are unrestricted free agents, and Whittington's production when pressed into the starting lineup was solid, including seven catches for 89 yards in a Week 5 loss to Green Bay.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Cleared to play Sunday

Whittington (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Whittington was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but logged a full session Friday and is good to go for Sunday's regular-season finale. With Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp unlikely to play and resting up for the playoffs next weekend, Whittington should see an elevated offensive role alongside fellow WRs Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell and Tyler Johnson. They will be catching passes from Jimmy Garoppolo.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Ready to go for TNF

Whittington (shoulder) is active for Thursday night's contest against the 49ers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports. Whittington was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, but he now appears to be all set for Thursday's contest. The wide receiver will likely operate as the team's primary kick returner again in Week 15.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice with shoulder issue

Whittington (shoulder) did not practice Tuesday. Whittington also missed Monday's practice session due to his shoulder injury. The rookie sixth-round pick hasn't logged a target in any of his last six appearances, but he has played a notable role as a kick returner. Wednesday's final practice report of Week 15 will reveal whether Whittington has a chance of suiting up for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Gets light usage as returner

Whittington returned one kick for 24 yards and failed to record a target during Sunday's 28-22 win against the Patriots. Whittington's role since the return of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp has been non-existent, and he hasn't managed a catch since Week 5. The sixth-round rookie's role seems to be focused on special teams at the moment (16 snaps on special teams versus five snaps on offense Sunday), and he'll continue to compete with Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith for a meager amount of snaps as the backups to Nacua, Kupp and Demarcus Robinson.
